Definitely the 8x8 you don't have to slow down with that thing to get over obsticals and it is most likely German army surplus I don't think the British use these

Unimog koennen Sie nicht einbringen, weil er nur ein 2-Achsler ist damit lastenmaessig weit unterlegen ist, im Vergleich zu MAN/TATRA. Mich wuerde interessieren die Erfahrung eines ehemaligen NVA-Soldaten, der nach der Einheit dann auch die Chance bei der BW bekommen hat und auch beide Fahrzeuge im Gelaende gefahren und dann gepflegt hat. Was die Geländefähigkeit angeht stand dort keiner dem anderen nach. Ich war zu meiner Dienstzeit absolut begeistert von der ersten MAN Reihe. Robust, einfach zu warten und einfach mal eine Erscheinung auf der Strasse.
No, it's not Multifuel. During development a few specs were canceled, because the would have made the KAT to expensive. Multifuel, NBC Protection and amphibious Ability. The Deutz V8 can handle Diesel Fuel in almost any Quality, that corroborated the Myth it would be a Multifuel Engine, but it wasn't.

UK uses 4x4 this was probably another EU Army. Downside is 10 tonne load capacity and 1lt/2km on road, anything up to 5lt/km in heavy slow going

Sexy! When it rains in the dessert, could you still drive over dunes then?
Driving the dunes in the rain is much better because there is more grip and the car doesnt get stuck easily
