      @insidetechltd No, we appreciate it. You don't have millions of subscribers (yet), but those of us who have been subscribed to you for a while are more than willing to be patient for your reviews. You don't just have the products at launch, use them for a week, and move on. You do very meticulous deconstructions, and that goes a long way when one is considering purchasing an expensive piece of tech.

    Samsung need to stop doing customers injustice with the inferior exynos processor. They should reserve the exynos for the less expensive A series or FE models. Snapdragon across the board for S series.

    I was a Samsung user from s7 -s21 and bought a Sony Xperia 1 iii for a change last year. A lot to love about the Sony 4k screen, no selfie hole punch and amazing camera tech (which I rarely used to full potential)but the size of the phone began to make me want a smaller screen/phone again. Also the battery life of the Sony was not the best, around 3hrs SOT. All of the budget phones seem to be massive 6.6 -6.8" screens so started looking for a second s23. None at a reasonable price so got a new open box s24 256gb for £570. Love being back with Samsung. The software is the best android implementation and being able to use dex whilst travelling and the 6-7 hrs SOT means all day use and more. So killer feature for me is compact size flagship.

    Great insight regarding the battery life in each model and each use scenario. I have one question though if you dont mind. Is the S23 that you use for the comparison brand new or already used for maybe a couple months?
    If the later, I wonder if brand new S23 battery will caught up with S24 in heavy tasks since S23 is already more efficient in standby battery life and catching up in day to day use compared to S24 in your video. Thanks 🙏

      I've personally never found the battery to be an issue on the smaller models. You're charging it overnight anyway, right? You've gotta use the phones very heavily to not make it through a full day. Smart decision with the 80% cap - that'll come in handy in a couple of years time

      i have a s24 ultra with snap dragon and s24plus exynos, i have used each for 1 month. for every day use , no difference, the s24Plus feels alot smaller though as its got skinny bezels and rounded corners, also its much lighter. For CPU speed they are also the same, both are silky smooth. for high end graphics games the snapdragon is smoother, only because alot of games are not optimised for the exynos. Speakers are better on the Ultra. obvisouly the ultra has better cameras, s pen, bigger battery and non glare display.

  • @dennyc4135

    I bought S23 instead of S24. Price difference was 100euro, I check them both in the shop.. I notice that S24 is brighter and the thin bezel looks great. THen I check the battery.. most of the show model (S23, S24, S24+, S24Ultra) has about 50%.. but obviously when you check on the Exynos one (S24, S24+) it shows only 5 hours left, while those with Snapdragon shows 15 hours left. So, this is inline with the reviews on youtube that Exynos battery performance is not good, mainly due to bad modem reception which uses more power. It's too bad that I will not get 7 years software update, but I prefer a phone with better battery management. In the end both S23 and S24 are very close in performance and photo/video capture, that's why I chose S23.
    Another thing, despite S24 color is closer to actual, it tends to be a bit hazy/wash out while S23 is a bit oversaturated

    I decided that Exynos S24 was not worth paying almost a quarter more so I went with S23 at 649 euros. It has a bigger battery than my previous S22 as well as a Snapdragon processor which make it a very worthy upgrade. Now I easily get through the day without charging my phone. Also, there is a better selfie camera, the animations are buttery smooth and I can also use the new AI features. I cannot see myself using the same phone for more than 3 years so the 7-year software support was not a key feature either. All in all, I am very happy with my choice 😊

    Thanks for the video , i mainly was focusing on dimensions and screen state comparison since i already made my mind for S24 snapdragon variant (importing in without warranty)
    I am really really confused of which size to get (S24 or S24+), I am really fan of compact dimensions due to easy ergonmics and handling one handed though the bigger screen compromize watching media and better battery endurance through the day (also thinking of the QHD that will be missed on the vanilaa S24)
    Also the capped 25W on the Vanilla S24 is so ridicolous on the price tag with the chinese gang reaching 120W as an easy peasy (mine is motorola with 68W where it helps in quick juice to survive the day)
    Final thing please, Is the non saturated Blacks are obivous to that extinct cause this is a deal breaker for (I felt it was obvious between S24/S24+ and the Ultra) ?
    I am really biased to the Vanilla S24 (SD Variant 256 with UFS4) due to the sweetness of 6.2" and handling

    It's less important than camera and overall performance, but won't most people use a case and screen protector, which essentially eliminates the considerations of phone color and feel during operation - and possibly the screen glare and full sun performance too?

    • @insidetechltd
      @insidetechltd  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes it does, but there isn't much of a difference compared to last year anyway for those things. You'll still feel a difference with the Plus vs S24 or Ultra vs S24 though.
      The S24 series improved brightness means you get better outdoor/sun performance, even if you use a screen protector. But the Ultra does not have the anti-glare advantage if you use a screen protector that isn't samsung's anti-reflective one (I showed this in the Ultra review)

    • @dylanemeraldgrey
      @dylanemeraldgrey 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@insidetechltd Thanks for the reply. I didn't realize they provided their own screen protector. Well, my note 9 is almost impossible to see in the sun with or without a screen protector, so I'm hoping whatever I upgrade to next will be much better than the note 9... I'm also surprised at how bad it is with photos, so hoping Samsung has improved there as well...Anyway, thanks again for the reply and the videos. • @insidetechltd
      @insidetechltd  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Their own protector is expensive and only film (not glass), so it has trade offs, but it does let you keep the anti-reflective advantage. The higher brightness still lets you see a lot better in the sun though vs older phones!

I like many others, always want to get the most for our money, and videos like these give us most of what we need. We just don't get the hands-on feel. I do feel some people who do these tech videos overlook the fact that most average consumers won't upgrade every year and will most likely upgrade every 2+ years so if they could look back and compare to older tech it may reach a wider audience.

    I am using s24 for more than 10 days, i m getting Sceen on time between 4 and 5 hours, Moderate use. Is it concerning? Also, phone gets heat quickly while on video call. Pls do reply s24 users?

      4-5 h SOT could be fine, it depends what you're using it for. More battery intensive tasks might give you 5 hours, whereas lighter ones could give you 10 hours. Some warming during a video call is normal I think

    I own an s21 ultra and willing to upgrade either to S23 ultra or S24 Ultra. Which phone do you think i should invest in? Price is not a major problem but I still would like to have value for my money.

      I think the other video, the Ultra review, is the video you need to help with that decision. That covers all the changes/upgrades and overall value for money. It's linked in the video description if you wanna check it out!
