I like to use the main notes in the section as a sort of inbox and keep it cleared out. It's a holding been of new items and I occasionally goes through there and make sure everything is labeled and archived out of the main notes section. I find it easier for me to keep that less cluttered.
😅 I'm user of Google Keep since Aug 2018, but now I wanted to switch to I recently discovered ′Notion′ (because every Google-made app in my phone becoming unsyncable in emergency) I may miss some of the good features like Image text grabbing, Archive, and Copy (multiple) notes to Docs. 🤷🏻♂️ As you're are already a Notion user, what do you think/say about my switching? 🤔
TTHHHAAANNKKSSSS for simply making this all so simple and understandable. I'm an iPhone user, yet live off chrome and google apps. I'm head over heels how cohesive this extension seems to be with Gmail and chrome. It's really cool that I can be reading an article, and simply click one button and create a quick reminder without breaking my focus. Downloading NOW!
Guys if you want to quickly add a label to a note you're typing, just type "#" and the label drop-down will show up. Now here you can select or create new. Once you add the label, you can also delete this hashtag text, the label stays.
I have been using the shopping lists concept; 1 list for the stores where we buy. Each store has a different color. I use the reminders for those recurring tasks. I had not been using labels but I will start now.
I also do my compromises based on priorities so everything have a number by their side that indicates the order that I need to do those things. Example: 1. Wake up 2. Brush teeth ... Google keep has an IA that automatically recognize the patterns and applies to your notes, so you won't need to write(1., 2.,3.) every time, because Google do that for u, it's a small thing but it really helps me
All great tips. The last tip helped me to close quite a few tabs and quickly make new notes with labels and details to the page I want to go back to at a later time. Thank you
All you videos are amazing, I just got todoist but changed it right away to calendar and keep, less apps it's better thank you for this amazing content
Ooh! Very informative and keen to implement the re-usable checklist for all those details I tend to forget (brain overload). Will let you know how I get on. Thank you for the info and tips!
Great video, I've been using Keep for a considerable time yet I did not know yet about the ability to make these kinds of notes, I thought it was just for saving webpages mainly. Thanks
When you add apps, such as Keep to Google Chrome right-click first and set up a folder first then enter the app into that folder by right clicking while at that site and hit "add a page" to that folder. For instance, I have Folders for Working Apps and for other interests such as sites related to my business or personal life. This way I can have as many pages in that folder and my menu isn't cluttered.
I use label to categorize and for archiving the notes, when I don't need them to be on the main page anymore. As for the colours I think of them more like in stages I'm currently on that task/project.... I would use one colour for Actionable tasks of the week, another for items I need to remember to follow up on but I'm waiting for a reply, other for items I might just need to have there to copy and paste, etc...
Is there a way to add a category i.e. Dairy or Vegs, to a checklist? Love and use Keep all the time but would love to know how to better organize my shopping check off lists.
The best way to achieve this would be by creating sub-lists within your checklist. You can create a check for Dairy and then have all of your dairy-related items indented within this one. I hope that helps!
Thank you for this video! I would like to know how to use the Google Nest option where I say OK Google add ______ to my grocery list or my or my Staples list. How do I link that to Google Keep.
Comparing with Apple Notes, the only thing that Google Keep does not offer is the Lock function (keep specific note privately). Other than that, Google is a good tool.
I've been using Trello for over 5 years now for both personal and work. Keep looks promising, but not letting go of Trello any time soon. How do you decide what to put in Trello and what to put in Keep?
Can you share an entire label with all the notes inside of the label? I use Gkeep all the time and looking for this option to share with my husband... I have a label named Christmas 2020 and inside have individual names with links for Christmas options for that individual
I can see where you are clicking on "extensions" on the tool bar but how did you get that extension there? When I click on it, I get 5 extensions but none of them do what you are describing. When I go to manage extensions I have one for Adobe tools, another for a to z manuals and 3 more but nothing like this.
How do I get the mobile app and my laptop to share/sync....? I do not want to look at my phone and retype my notes but I cannot get them to move over/share with/sync to my laptop.
I only started using Keep a few months ago, and shortly after that installed the Chrome extension, however the icon doesn't show up in the task bar, nor does the extension show up in the list when I click the Extensions icon. I've removed and reinstalled it several times with the same result. Any idea how to fix it?
Hi Scott, i am not getting the time in AM & PM format while setting Reminder. i checked the settings menu, there also AM & PM is not reflecting and it is showing 24 hours format instead. Thanks in Advance. Please help.
I wish there was a way to collaborate all the notes kept under a particular label i.e. collaborate labels, so that I don't have to collaborate each and every note separately. Yes I can merge them all under Google drive but then the very reason I kept the notes separate was for separating my items but have them all under one roof (label) I also tried sharing the page link but that only allows for myself to view and not the collaborators.
It appears that Google Keep will only install in Google Chrome. I tried installing it in Vivaldi, Opera and Slimjet and, whilst it does install, the first time I click on the icon to use it it asks me to sign in. When I click on the icon's pop up sign in link nothing at all happens. Same exact scenario in each of these three chromium based browsers! In Google Chrome it installed and worked first go, naturally! There's many good reasons why I won't use the Google Chrome browser! Just checked adding it to the Brave browser. Same result as the other three.
help i got a new cell phone a Samsung Galaxy, yeah a cheap phone but it's what i can afford. I had a LG Rebel and my notes worked on it. synched phone, lap top, desktop and tablet all of them worked good together. now I can't do that with my Samsung and i have synch turned on, I am signed into my Google account any help or perhaps you can direct me to somewhere to find help
I cannot get my Google Keep Shopping list and my Google Home Mini shopping lists to sync. If I add it to my mini, it adds to the Google Shopping list. Never to my Keep. Keep is set up as my default in Google assistant. Anyone have any ideas? I've looked online. It's a common problem. But the things that Google says to fix it never fixes it for anyone, me either. And they close out their tickets without allowing you to replay.
I used to use One Note but there was a limit to how much data it could handle, it crashed for me eventually. I was keeping a lot of my journals and diaries in it with pictures. As for Keep, pasting my comment above. Google Keep broke my heart many times. I'm using Notepad in Desktop for now while I search for alternative. Google Keep erased all my notes and diaries in 2014 and 2016 and some in 2015 THREE TIMES, despite it being in sync for so long. One time, the app just crashed. When I opened it again, it erased a lot of notes. Another time, it just erased those that were originally synced already. I don't want to use an app anymore that wouldn't even let me keep a copy of my Notes offline. It would be okay if saving all the notes to their servers guaranteed that your Notes are safe...but Keep broke my heart by erasing so much three times, all different years when it happened. I searched for solutions and I found out that many also experienced such things. Such a shame since I have started using Keep when it launched and saw so much improvements that's why it was my go-to Note App...but until they allow offline saving of your Notes, I'm doing my best to stay off from Keep and so far, I'm okay. Just looking for a secure alternative and even willing to pay for it.

I've rediscovered Keep and I might fully switch to it, replacing Notion. Thank you for these tips!
You're so welcome!

Yep, you get a like and subscribe. Two amazing ideas for me: Google Mail has a snooze function, and checklists in Keep can be nested. Thank you!
Thanks for the sub!

Your movie is the best one to explain google keep.
I like that collaborator part, adding google keep extension, labeling notes, pining particular note.
Thank U
I look forward to using Keep. I just learned of it and your instruction was easy to follow.
Great to hear!

I love the way you teach! Thank you for your great videos :)

Thank you! Just last night I was wondering If I could have a recurring checklist that removed the checks and you just answered my question.
You're so welcome!
The option to use keep in the Gmail sidebar is a good option as well
❤❤❤❤Thanks a lot....needed this so badly to manage everything
Your work is great bro from Egypt 🇪🇬 we love you
Tip 7 is awesome. I'll use that one more now I know about it. I'll also label my notes so I can find stuff quicker.
Thanks for sharing, Milton

Is there a way to increase font size yet? Love Keep but hate having to use glasses to see my text. Thanks so much! Your vids are the most helpful!
It's about time Google keep did a library so all notes are not on one page
Thanks! I used to use colors, but I found it redundant with labels. Do you have a practical advise for both?
I use label to categorize and for archiving the notes, when I don't need them to be on the main page anymore. Sign into your account on keep and your smart speaker should do this automatic

Well I use lock on google keep app. All of my notes are private
Genius. Thanks

how to use Google keep with Gmail on Android (on smartphone)? for example: send a message from Gmail directly to become ours on Google keep?

I'll often use Google Docs for this purpose. Thanks for the question!

I also need this feature in keep.
I've added Keep to my extensions, but it's not on the pick list to Pin...Suggestions? @Simpletivity
How do I get the most out of Google Keep?
1. Integration with Google Docs.
2. Location of shop on Shopping List to remind when one is in area
Does the 'grab text' feature work on mobiles?
Yes, it sure does!
I couldn't switch to Notion if Google Keep has "unlimited links previews" (instead of only 10).
I only need location based reminders, otherwise i use Evernote or Gmail emails saved in Drafts

how to add images to a text?, my app just stack all images in one place, no way to write down or up the images.
I cannot click and drag within a label. Is this normal?
I have taken a photo with my phone, using keep to take the photo, but keep cannot save it. Why??
I cannot get my Google Keep Shopping list and my Google Home Mini shopping lists to sync. If I add it to my mini, it adds to the Google Shopping list. Never to my Keep. Can you put Google notes in alphabetical order?
Is it just me or is the font too small in the iOS app and desktop version on an iPad Pro?
I would love it if you could put a note on the desktop like a sticky and not have to open the note app to see them
Enjoy it before Google closes it!
I like" keep" but I found "one note" some days ago. I'm in that wonderfull part of my life where I feel confused

Such a shame since I have started using Keep when it launched and saw so much improvements that's why it was my go-to Note App...but until they allow offline saving of your Notes, I'm doing my best to stay off from Keep and so far, I'm okay. Just looking for a secure alternative and even willing to pay for it.
I think you should try trello or notions, it's better than one note, imo.
