    I first saw this over a year ago, and keep coming back to it. It's an utterly brilliant simple yet systematic & thorough method of implementing GTD as a table-based tick box system. I've not seen anything approaching it for simple & straightforward systematic processing of inbox items into GTD categories. I don't know if David Allen has seen it but I think he would be very impressed & I could imagine him adopting it! 👍 I think you have a later video where you refine the system to try to reduce the duplication of having to rewrite items in the different tables? But for me, this original video is the classic one that every GTDer should see 👏👏👍🙂

    You did a great job visually walking through the “actionable” slide. Good color selection/contrast (black, yellow, white) and the key point navigation.

    Thank you for this video! It really helped me to understand the GTD system better. Do you have any advice on how to not have to write the tasks out twice? Once in the inbox and then again in the list you organize it to. I don't know, there might not be any way around it!

    • @squairdplans
      @squairdplans  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If you know how to organize the item when you start, you can bypass the inbox and go straight to the individual task/project action list it applies to. That will eliminate double writing.

    Love this! I purchased a copy of David Allen's GTD a number of years ago, but never actually read it. I'm inspired to start reading it now and using these sheets. I think they could be very helpful for my ADHD and keeping track of everything.

    The issue I have with this method is what to do with an item you don't know how to fix? Something technical fouls take 2 min or 2 days of work. How can you organize something like that?

    • @squairdplans
      @squairdplans  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think I would move it to next steps and maybe have a column for research or put it under computer if you need to find someone or more info to solve the problem. If there are multiple steps to figuring out the issue, you may need to start a project for it, adding the steps as they arise through your problem solving. Hope that helps.
