I'm thinking about buying the 2012 Audi S5 Prestige Cabriolet V6 with 113,500 miles for $13,400. Red seats, convertible, dark gray... The other option is paying +$2K for the 2013 Premium Plus Cabriolet, but not too sure about that.

    PLEASE READ:
    I own a 2011 S5 currently at 42k miles. I bought it for 27k with only 30k miles.
At 90k+ miles here are the things you have to do maintenance wise:
-Carbon cleaning: these direct injection motors build up carbon. I saw in your video that you leave a lot of the stuff in comfort mode so I guess you don't drive it hard. You MUST push this car to redline every so often otherwise it won't get hot enough in the intake ports and carbon will build up. At your mileage go get it done. It will cost $600-$800 at an independent shop to pull of the manifold and walnut blast the valve intake ports. The v8's loose a good chunk of power if there is heavy carbon buildup.
-If you do carbon cleaning, go ahead and change all the fuel injectors while the intake manifold is off. They get clogged and don't flow as good at high mileage.
-Motor mounts. The stock ones leak when they go bad and can cause misfires. Get the reinforced ones from 034 motorsports.
-Don't follow the 10k oil change interval. Do it every 5k.
Some other things to check for at your mileage is the suspension: check for worn out bushings or leaking struts. Inspect the axles too.
Also since you're hoodstrut failed, you can get a replacement from an oe manufacturer like Meyle for like $23
The S5 isn't a money pit to own. Take care of the mentioned stuff and it will last you a long time.

3 years late, but I grabbed the 3.0T because of the tuning capability. You can get it to push RS5 horsepower numbers just by remapping the ECU. (Audi detuned the 3.0T in the S5 to keep it from competing with the RS5)
