    The best s5 made i reckon, i have an 09 in Daytona Grey, sunroof, cream interior, every option ticked, 20 inch Audi rotor wheels and rear muffler deletes. Iv owned many v8s, Holden 6.2ltrs, hemi 6.4ltrs and fords etc. The Audi with its awd matched to the v8 is like no other. Its like a cross between a wrx and v8 powered sedan. They were ahead of their time by a mile

In addition, bushings/control arms wear fast, as do pads and rotors. Also, the cars need to be carbon cleaned every 60-80k miles. Great car tho

    This car must be older, I have an 2014 S5 and I ordered it out of the factory. The engine in the Prestige line was the 6 cylinder, supercharged version. The V8 was gone from the lineup by the time I bought mine. Interestingly, except for the color (mine is Daytona Grey Pearl) and the left hand drive, automatic transmission, my car looks Identical. Even the wheels are the same. The badging is different, this vehicle has "V8", mine came with "V6T" which I had taken off (because in reality it is not a turbocharged engine) and replaced with the badge it should come with and that is "Supercharged". Nice car... hope that you are enjoying it!

    I actually just bought a 2011 s5 with the v8 about a month ago. And I had the same reaction, inside you couldn't really hear the growl of the exhaust. I ended up getting the B&B exhaust. I'm in the US and that was a cheaper option for me. But it sounds good. Not crazy loud, but it definitely makes it sound like a v8.
    I left the stock downpipes, which each have a resonator. Then with the new exhaust comes an x-pipe to replace the midpipe, and then the rest of the exhaust which has mufflers and tips.
    I've heard good and bad from milltek, but I don't have it so can't say really. It seems the best quality are the AWE exhaust. The track exhaust is louder, while the touring is more stock sounding. But that brand is more expensive.
    I have heard that the milltek have a little drone, but if you leave the stock downpipe then it shouldn't be an issue.
    Remember, the only things making the exhaust quieter are the mufflers and cats (which are on the headers of this car, and require an engine drop to replace, so they are staying on mine). The resonators are ok to leave on the downpipe, as they help cancel out certain frequencies, and make it not sound as raspy.
    Speaking of interior color, I love the red leather myself, that's what mine is. But to each their own. The black leather looks awesome as well.
    There are a few good forums with loads of info about these cars, and exhaust, so just do some research and make your choice. Definitely don't think you would go wrong with a milltek. These cars sound amazing when they aren't so restricted. And if you do leave the stock downpipes, and decide later on you want a little different sound, then you could always change those at a later date.
    Hope that helps!

      @GuysThatDrive  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      helpmefindwaldo Wow! Sounds like you did your research! Thanks for the advice. We don’t see the B&B over here so it’s looking like a Milltek and agreed on keeping the stock down pipes as this will be a daily Drive!

    I've had my 08 sprint blue S5, V8 manual for about 3 years now. Got it at around 85k and is now at 137k. Alcantara interior with black and carbon fiber accents. It's been a dream to drive, a bit expensive to maintain but that is expected with these cars. Make sure you have a good mechanic because the services on these cars are a bit tricky to learn if one doesn't have any experience with them. I wish it was better built to deal with the heavy front weight of the car, the engine is literally bullet proof but i cant say the same for the other parts used

    • @koopspook
      @koopspook 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      What services were tricky for your car?

    • @poetnumbrr8
      @poetnumbrr8 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@koopspook The starter is a nightmare to get to. Its placed really deep inside towards the bottom of engine, a lot of work to get to it and even harder to fit it place. Thermostat is sort of the same story but much easier to get to, although its connected to water pump so you replace both at the same time. The intake manifold needed to be replaced when I took in for a carbon cleaning since one of the plastic things(cant remember name) broke off. The clutch itself is still original, at 145k miles now but its started to lose its grip. Overall, the main issues that arise with this car is that it needs someone who genuinely cares because it takes getting used to when taking off front end bumper to work on it and putting it back together properly with diligence. Never ever buy anything that isn't straight from VW.
