Released in November 1997, this is the fourth game in a series that constantly innovates and never repeats a single concept twice, all while maintaining a consistent quality standard that no game past...well, 1997 has looked up to (LOL at whoever wrote this). This time Zero & X have separate stories, which grants the player the choice of playing a robot with the voice of a 5-year old girl or a monotone sword-wielding maiden with the fairest flaxen blonde locks in the land. At this past Awesome Games Done Quick, $1,025,000 was raised for the Prevent Cancer Foundation. It only took a week of continuous streaming, 18,000 donors, and many many runners to achieve. A big thanks to everyone responsible for these amazing numbers, what a humbling achievement. For comparison, last year's event raised just under $500,000.

This was so outstanding! I thought I was amazing being able to beat megman x4 in under an hour... but this really puts things into perspective. This was awesome!

Ah, but I thought I was THE monotone sword-wielding maiden with the fairest flaxen blonde locks... Anyways, amazing run, and, this was my first Mega Man title I've played, and can remember staying up until four with a friend, months ago, just to beat this game, and have a grand night doing so. :)

THIS IS A GOD TIER RUN! I was impressed by his skills and the way he and the Asian guy were able to explain what was happening so clearly and concisely. I still can't do it, but I understand it.

Then jump on any kind of upgrade and you will has every power
Always loved the X games more than the original. X was my favourite, but X4 is definitely second place, and was one of my favourite ps1 games.

aSm0jUiCe It means he has to get every secret such as heart containers, hidden armor upgrades, e-tanks, etc.
a 100% means 100% item completion.
+Brandon K. To get Black Armor you need to do a Cheat Code so not really an item

I just noticed that during the Slash beast stage. When he had the robot suit he didnt destroy the part of the train and get the Life Up, so doesn't that mean he didn't 100% this game?
No he did, he just picked it up since it's on top of that part of the train and not inside it.
I'm...not sure... Something tells me that this one of those games where you can go super-100 (like how some games, iirc Super Meatboy, you can get 106%).
But, this is my guess.

To do shippuga, you need to dash and press the special weapon button, not the x zaber button

Without the Black Armor, this can't be called 100%. And, wouldn't using the Black Armor save more time in the run than the time it'd take to input the Black Armor code? Or does it not raise Zero's damage at all?
Edit: Oh yeah, I forgot exclusively in X4, Zero's Black Armor did nothing. :x
I still think, since it's something you earn, it can't be 100% without the armor. :P But yeah, it's nothing that big of a deal in the end, I guess.
