At this past Awesome Games Done Quick, $1,025,000 was raised for the Prevent Cancer Foundation. It only took a week of continuous streaming, 18,000 donors, and many many runners to achieve. A big thanks to everyone responsible for these amazing numbers, what a humbling achievement. For comparison, last year's event raised just under $500,000.

Megaman X1-3 are the most beautiful games ever created imo. Also some of the best soundtracks.

He should have explained that if you don't kill vile with his weakness, you don't get the z-saber (i.e kill him with regular buster)
Well, you don't kill him with the buster. You damage him and he leaves. Killing him implies he explodes.
Gotta say, Mega-man running his own game? That's awesome, but he's really let himself go over the past few years...

The Blizzard Buffalo is confusing. I'd seen that bug in his AI before and that was with a air dash up to the ceiling, I thought it must be some kind of grid wrapping going on, but he still turns around from a normal jump? And even on the other side of the room.
only checks for megaman being on the air, later revisions compare the height but still can work with normal jump

Can someone describe to me what the hell do you call that jump(and how to do it) to get the s tank in Blizzard's stage? I keep trying and failing miserably. Same thing with how to get the heart in Boomer Kwanger with just dash/jump.
In X3, that sub tank platform was actually designed for you to get the Leg Upgrade and come back to get it with the vertical dash. So it's really hard without it because you have to get the timing and angle perfect. You slide down the left wall a little and then dash jump off the wall at a 45 degree angle while holding Right on the D-Pad. If you get it just right (and lucky), X would not hit his head on the platform and you can press Left and jump again to jump off the edge of the platform as if it was a wall and land on top of it to reach the tank.
JRPiff212 since it is supposed to get the dash boot upgrade first, it is called "bootless".

EDIT: I didn't know Zewing created that strat at 43:40. It's such a great and crucial strat for speedruns. Damn, this was a good run, despite Crush Crawfish not cooperating for the quick kill (yes, I'm saying it's unfortunate Crawfish didn't let himself be instantly killed by X). I love watching 100% runs, especially Mega Man X runs (excluding X7, of course).

I finish this game with only one power up, the leg, always try to found the other but no luck, no internet when i play this game

you dont need full health to get the hadouken in x1 as far as i know, but if you do then its much easier because of the fact that you have to die multiple times anyway which sets you back at full health. although it is possible to take damage on the way there but idk i dont think health is a factor in getting the hadouken.
pick the health above the boss entrance, die and repeat, until the hadouken capsule shows up
Yes it is. You HAVE to have a full health bar, otherwise, the capsule won't be there.
That being said, if you do the trick correctly to that point, if you scroll that portion off screen and use a sub tank and get to full health, it will appear.
But you 100% need to have full health for the capsule to appear.

48:50 this is a glitch, before entering a boss door, the ram is cleared to prepare for the boss, but due this glitch, before entering thunnel rhinos room, the ram is no cleared properly, and this glitches its ai into never using his drills, losing and refighting clears the ram properly. also entering his doppler stage clears the ram and allows him to work properly

maybe someone with more megaman x knowledge can help me out here, i have only played part 1 (got all the armor etc) is there a reason why in part 2 and 3 you have to well re-find them? n i mean a legit reason that has to do with the story? because i am aware of the obv reason as to why they would do it (to make the game more challenging and you have to find the items etc in each one) i just always thought that's what seperated x from reg mega man was the armor you'd think after 1 he would just still have the armor since he already got it no?

They also change between games. Each one has a different charge shot. Armor works differently every time, etc.
Well thanks for all the answers everyone, it def gave me a better idea as to why they do that now and also i had no idea it was always different, so that's pretty cool info too. as i said before, i never got to try any other x games aside from 1 but i have seen the others being played, so it was always a question that popped up lol. Can't you generally figure out the time from how long the video lasts, anyway, though? There's never much hanging about after runs end.
Knowing the final time and seeing how the run plays out are two entirely different things though.
These people train for extended periods of time to try and execute these games flawlessly. The games are always going to have a low time. It is to be expected.
Plus having the time in the title is great for drawing people in. As soon as I saw the Duke Nukem 3D run only took like 12 minutes I had to watch it to find out how that was even possible.
Remember as a kid i didnt know you could brake stuff with drill (so no arm upgrade) not sure if i knew how to load the game or that there are weaknesses. I do remember fighting Sigma 2 meaning somehow i managed to beat Sigma 1, and just came to conclusion thats the most badass boss in all of gaming cause he took half the screen, i couldnt dodge him i couldnt damage him. This game stayed in my memory forever.
