    About me & my channel:
Hey! My name is Jason R., and I started this TH-cam channel in 2016, with the goal in mind to create high-quality, unique tech videos for TH-cam. The response and growth I saw over the first several years of uploading videos absolutely stunned me, and making videos that genuinely helped people made me incredibly happy. Where I am today, I've gathered an incredible, supportive audience that I create regular technology and lifestyle videos for. But one thing I always want to emphasize on my channel is growth: meaning I want to create better, more useful, and more unique videos, grow my audience, and eventually make a career out of this hobby. If you support me and this vision, then please subscribe and we can make this happen!

‼️ I've made an updated version of this tutorial that's much quicker and easier. It doesn't use a virtual audio input though, as all edits are within OBS Studio. So if that works for you, feel free to check it out: th-cam.com/video/A1I0Qr00zy4/w-d-xo.html

I love how you listened to your audience and removed music from the video during the listening part. Last video had that annoying thing. Subbed because you listen to your audience. Thanks for the tutorial.

@@liam601yt Snowball Ice owner here. When using the default tripod (like the video above), the snowball Ice picks up kb&m sounds and even the smallest vibrations on the desk. You don't hear it in this video because he did a good job of avoid them (putting arms on table gently, not bumping into the table, not pressing keys frantically, etc.) He also probably went back and cut out all of the bad sounds in post processing. With that being said, using this mic in the way he is using it would not be ideal next to a keyboard. I spent a little extra money on a boom arm with a shock mount and it fixed those issues. Great usb mic for the price but to really sound good in a gaming environment, you'll want to spend the extra coin. There are some cheap boom arm alternatives that work well! Hope this helps!

Thanks so much for the video, even though it's 'old' to you it's still useful to us ^^. I love my headset mic, it's not bad for the price but It came time for me to upgrade without spending too much, and the ice was the best option. However, I wanted to see a review/tutorial on how it would be during streaming and if there are even options to be able to tweak live recordings. You answered everything in this video and gave raw footage + You included a tutorial on how to tweak the mic during live recordings, which is super helpful to have it all in one! So thank you :) I've just ordered the microphone and got a clip on cheap pop filter to help it along a little more.

If you are livestreaming, and you're using obs for example. They have all this stuff already built in to the program. You dont need any programs to do it except for obs. So basically what you're saying is that the blue snowball ice is actually really good. It may just need some adjusting based on your volume and background noise. Which is normal procedure for any mic out there.

I am in the market for a usb mic for my TH-cam live Bible studies becuase my cheap one died. I was going to get a blue yeti but saw a snowball ice for $30 and then found this tutorial! Would you reccomend this setup or just going for the blue yeti? Would the yeti still need these enhancers as well or would it be good as is for TH-cam live?

Can we process audio during zoom/skype in real time? Also I cannot install Audio Cable, 'access to registry denied', not sure what to do? Any advice?

Something tells me I didn't do this right. I got the settings from this video configured, but my Blue Snowball Ice still sounds quiet. Do I need to have Audacity open in the background during streams for it to work, too, or do I have the cable set wrong or is it something else?
Edit: Figured it out after watching the end where he said "set output to vb virtual cable"😂. Thank you!

My mic sounds worse after setting it up on the voice meter app ? While talking you can hear choppy noise in the background and it's gone when i shut down voice meter and use the mic normally (no bg noise, only picking up my voice). How do I fix this

How would I fix the audio of the snowball when recording My web cam at the same time?

disable the audio on your webcam through the sound settings in control panel.

Perfect video. Getting a stream setup with this mic for Christmas. Glad I stumbled upon this. Quick question though. Does using voice meter take up a lot of CPU while streaming? And it’s just as easy to change the output in streamlabs to VAC right?

Appreciate that! VoiceMeeter is pretty light on CPU usage from my experience. And VAC should be just as easy to select in any other application 👍

You should use the "banana" version of voicemeeter. It is also free, but it comes with more stuff like an equalizer to further modify your mic in real time.

Are there any good programs with similar features you can do this with on a Mac as a substitute for VoiceMeeter?
