@@arbitersofsound I use the HyperX Solocast right now and it actually shocked me with its abilities for $30. I write songs as a hobby but I'm wanting to elevate my vocal quality just becuase :D. No specific mic in mind yet as I'm a lil cheap and I want to look at every possible option before narrowing it down lol!

@arbitersofsound you deserve it! And yeah I just ordered the SM7B, Focusrite 4i4 and some studio monitors. I cant wait till they arrive but I gotta leave for like a week so I gotta wait knowing they'll be waiting for me😭

@arbitersofsound JBL monitors. I forgot the exact name, they have 5, 6 and 8 inch, I got the 8s. I've wanted some for soooo long, tired of using my Mac speakers. In The Mix has a great video on how to build acoustic panels, I'm building them right now getting ready, I'm so excited😁😁
That's a very good video btw. We have about 13 of those panels and 3 big basstraps in our studio and they are fantastic for the price!@@ThaRealXD
I find the Electrovoice RE20 to be hilariously overpriced. In Europe That is. We’re talking about 609EUR at the biggest retailer in Europe, Thomann, while the Shure SM7B can be had for 389 EUR, similar to the USD price.
Yeah it’s a shame there’s such a big difference in Europe as the difference is pretty marginal in the states!
