    Nothing like paying good money for a camera i cant download pictures from......Connects to the internet 1 out of 20 tries. Thanks Canon for wasting mine and from what i see, A lot of peoples time. Just let me use a USB cable FFS.

    I really wish canon could update this app. These troubleshoots are annoying! Stop with the new cameras if you cannot use the app with them 😭

    I don’t necessarily think this is what troubleshooting is. 😩 over here looking for my ish and nothings connecting and there’s no help online anywhere 😅 gonna go chuck myself and my camera out the window

      @@hayliethatch6486 it ended up connecting to my iPad which I originally had it connected to my phone. I don’t know what the difference was, but I just use my iPad now. 😩

    I have been having a problem with getting videos to save on the app it keep saying “failure to save” “not enough storage to save video” when I have plenty of storage on my phone. I even have a iPad that has nothing on it and it still doesn’t let me save it.

    The problem I’m having is that the camera does connect to wifi but once I open the app and I “reconnect” to my camera, suddenly the wifi on my phone disconnects from the camera and instead connects to my home internet WiFi… how do I work around this?

    • @NicoleBedardPhotography
      @NicoleBedardPhotography  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have had issues with strong wifi and having it disconnect. It's very frustrating, especially when you are on a shoot. I have better results when I don't shoot in areas without competing wifi.

      i would say forget your home wifi so it has no where else to connect to

    Can this app work with a wired connection to the camera. I don't want to use a memory card slot for the canon wifi chip

    • @NicoleBedardPhotography
      @NicoleBedardPhotography  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@billz4795 The app is allowing you to view the images via the camera’s built in WiFi. You are not eating into memory on the phone unless you physically download the images in the app. The actual files are on your memory card in the camera. Does that answer your question?? Might need more clarification if not.

    • @billz4795
      @billz4795 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @NicoleBedardPhotography My camera doesn't have built in WiFi. It needs the Canon WiFi SD WiFi adapter card which takes up the SD card slot. Which I don't want to loose for photo storage.
      Thus my question can the Canon app work without WiFi but by direct wire

    • @NicoleBedardPhotography
      @NicoleBedardPhotography  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @ Now I see. The app is looking for the device and there is specific setup in the settings. I don’t believe those settings exist in a camera that doesn’t have WiFi so the App won’t be able to find and link to it. Best of luck

      This app doesn't allow you to download or view video from your camera. I don't know of any and the file size of camera videos would be huge to save on your phone vs a phone video. Something to consider.

    I’ve been looking for solutions for my canon eos r on the app it will stay connected and I can browse for about 30 seconds then lose connection too the app and it doesn’t load any of the pictures onto the app after that and I check my camera and in the error details it said “error 12” “connection target not found” this is happening only on my phone and I have no idea what to do next

    • @NicoleBedardPhotography
      @NicoleBedardPhotography  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am not using the R series, but I know I loose connection if my phone falls asleep or if the wifi is competing with other wifi around me. I then have to reconnect to the phone.

    This is not a troubleshooting video, you are just saying how to connect to a phone, not why it's not connecting, and what to do.

      I would try reinstalling the app on the new mobile and going through the set up process again. I find that I have to go into the camera, disconnect the phone and reconnect the phone to make it trigger. I hope this helps.

    When it says “open in camera app” clarifying that the photo was saved in the camera roll, the picture isn’t in my camera roll

    • @NicoleBedardPhotography
      @NicoleBedardPhotography  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      When you click on "Images on Camera" The camera connect app will be showing you the images on your memory card inside your camera. You will see those images and click on one you want to add to your camera roll. Click on "import" in the middle of the bottom bar. That image you selected will be imported to your phone camera roll. I hope that makes sense. (3:33 in the video)
      Thank you for checking out the video!

    Canon has thoroughly failed with this app to camera connection. I've tried it many times, many ways, and connection ends up being essentially random. Bluetooth connects with my iPhone, but the app doesn't see it. I can connect the phone to the WiFi network created by the camera, but then the app sees it for a moment, then the camera goes to "Connection target not found" and there's no connection. It's as frustrating as can be. Canon products are great, but this app is utterly useless.
