I'm in heaven - probably the most gorgeous Mustang ever + awesome sound of the V8 + eye-pleasing country/roads + matching (kinda chill-out) music... Thank you Garage419!
After seeing your shows, I've come to the conclusion that this is the best American interpretation of Top Gear you'll get. Not copied, but inspired by it and still very American and original. Keep it up.
It's been a great season! We will be awaiting your triumphant return! We'll miss you and we thank you for everything you've given to this community. See you soon, guys.
Matt Farah ur a bloody machine, that burnout was the most disregard for an engines feelings spending all that time just bouncing off the limiter! and i loved!!!!!
Great season, guys! Matt, I was unsure about you way back when G419 first rolled up (and maybe you were too), but you've really grown to be a seriously entertaining, personable host. Can't wait for season 2.
Sweet episode, amazing scenery and roads, pretty nice Stang, that 4 inch. exhaust sure goes nicely with it! that burnout at the end was bad ass, hope to see more videos on future cars. Keep up the great work Garage 419!!
Great job Garage419! Congrats on an awesome season and the foresight to regroup rather than push on through. I for one am glad that you escaped the Top Gear trap as none of the non UK franchises are really up to snuff. Besides, I feel you could do better with your own show. Hang in there and the networks will pry their heads outta their arses eventually! Cheers!
never commented on a vid, but have watched every single one for the last 4-5 months.. great episode to end on. congrats on the first year farrah and crew. there were some questionable moments (ala farrah's fingerless gloves episode).. but youve kept me entertained. thanks.
Very nice season, loved all those interviews, reviews, other lovely videos of cars and various videos of 'car stunts'. I would loved the finale in HD, but it doesn't really matter much now. Also expected an emotional sort of scene. But heck! That doesn't matter, can't wait for the next season!
SICK VIDEO!!!!! sick car.... awesome testing... damn...im going to start watching this channel a ton... you can see just how windy it was by looking at all that smoke from that MAJOR OEM burnout.... that was an angry burnout..... a crazy, angry burnout
this new gt500 is probably my favourate american car after the corvette zr1, it's fantastic matt went through lifetime supply of tyres making this episode
awsome guys! great vid! and nice 11ses!!! always a pleasure to watch true car guys beat the piss out of cars ad make them do what they were intended for! cant wait to see what you have in store for next season!
this was a great video, u guys have done an awesome car u even went out w/ one of my fav. cars! the show has been awesome and and wow garage 419 w/ a credits sequence... kinda hurts. well hope 2 see ya guys return! matt farah wonderful job and spinelli dude u got pwned on the drag strip haha
Listening to some of the technical info @ about the :45 mark....I believe it's rated at 540 HP instead of 500, the previous gen of GT500 was rated at 500. Also car is limited from the factor to 155 MPH, perhaps it's able to reach 175 MPH with the factory limit removed.
You can hear it every time the host presses the gas pedal hard, just that it does not whine like the superchargers used to. Hear it closely and you will notice even the bypass valve closing the moment the driver lifts the foot off the throttle.
yea our drive line is plenty stout too for street tires, but as soon as you track gtos with slicks or radials the axle stubs and shafts could really use some upgrading.... ps you should port the stock supercharger, pulley, meth, and a tune. the difference is AMAZING. you'll enjoy your termi like its a whole new car again
I'm not really a fan of muscle cars, more so a fan of rally cars, but this car in particular gets my attention, a true piece of work. i even perfer holdens over fords... but this thing is a MONSTER
Great review on the GT500 Matt. If Ford can make these changes on the GT500 from consumer feed back, imagine the better built and features would be on the rest of the cars they build =)
on Fifth Gear, Jason Plato wears his full face helmet sometimes while driving race cars and/or extremely high performance cars around a track, and it seems oh so much cooler for some reason. don't know why. samething goes for Tanner on Supercars Exposed. but we won't talk about that show, since it'd be your main competition if you were ever to get the show on TV lol.
Congrats on season 1 fellas! It's been an evolution since the first episode. Tommy has really found his stride these last few episodes. You guys deserve a nice break... NYMC run anyone? hehe ;) When can we expect Season 2 Episode 1?
i like the parts around 3:30 and 4:00 when he talks about "good calls" but the important one was when he talked about stability control and the donuts.his response,"good f***ing call" lol
I like the revised front end for the new mustang. It doesn't look as anti-aerodynamic as the last one. I really like that trick they did with the air vent on the hood. Since the airflow on the front end is going to get forced into the radiator due to the shape of the headlights and grille, the vent up top should allow for much less resistance. Not to mention better cooling.
EPA horsepower ratings are done at the crank, and not at the wheels. at the crank, the previous GT500 had 500hp, but had a 435hp rating at the rear wheels.
Hi Matt. How did the GT500 handle at high speeds? (Above 130-140Mph). My GTO is great in corners but at really high speeds it feels a little floaty, and I saw you mention that this car is great for high speed corners, Is it planted, can you feel the back sliding around? Love the show wish i was doing what you are man. Need a driver?
Actually, its the model year 2013 GT500 that makes 662BHP. But yes, you are correct, you could buy the 662 BHP 2013 GT500 during 2012. And that Super Snake rocks! Shelby really knows how to pull power out of these cars!
Ok. Another question: if IRS doesn't make that much of a difference & cost around $6k more than a live axle (as u said in an earlier post), why didn't Chrysler & GM make the Challenger & Camaro with a live axle so that they would have the same base price as the Mustang? The lower weight of a live rear axle would help them to get a little better gas mileage also. I know you don't work for Chrysler or GM, but what do you think their reasoning for using IRS is?
Great show guys!! Can't wait for some news ones. I always love to watch some nice burnouts in a mustang. Matt if your ever in OKC hit me up i'll give you the keys to some of my rides.
well done man. i really see what you mean, this car is a huge step up from the old one. and by the sounds of it it seems easier to do heel and toe downshifting with this car, than the old one. But well done enjoy the downtime, and when do you guys come back? Thanks for giving us an awesome season one. I would be looking out for season two. :) ★★★★★
The funny thing is I got my best time ever at the drag strip in my 03 WRX my first time down the track. It was all stock and i got a 14.2 and never did it again. And that was my very first time in it down the track. but things like that can happen I guess they are just rare. but now it WRX runs 11's so I am not too worried about it. Good review!
@heartlessvietboy Think of it this way, loose suspension like on a wrangler means a lot of play and the car floats around, tight suspension and the car stays where it is supposed to be.
I have a friend whose parents bought him a 911 turbo. It may not have as much bhp, but it's still really fast. It all depends on the person and whether they can exercise self-control and not drive too fast.
Amazing end to season 1..a very long season :) But when will you guys be back? Can't wait :) Lastly, rumors that the GT500 can launch to 60 mph in 4 seconds flat....is it true?
I'm in heaven - probably the most gorgeous Mustang ever + awesome sound of the V8 + eye-pleasing country/roads + matching (kinda chill-out) music... Thank you Garage419!
After seeing your shows, I've come to the conclusion that this is the best American interpretation of Top Gear you'll get. Not copied, but inspired by it and still very American and original. Keep it up.
Awesome job on season 1, really appreciate everyone at G419 putting together a great season. Looking forward to season 2.
It's been a great season! We will be awaiting your triumphant return! We'll miss you and we thank you for everything you've given to this community. See you soon, guys.
One of the most beautiful pieces of film ever made. It shows man and machine as one. Man thats nice.
Matt Farah ur a bloody machine,
that burnout was the most disregard for an engines feelings spending all that time just bouncing off the limiter! and i loved!!!!!
Damn, I love how you kept the engine at the rev limiter the whole time during the burnout!!! This car sounds insane!!!
Great season, guys! Matt, I was unsure about you way back when G419 first rolled up (and maybe you were too), but you've really grown to be a seriously entertaining, personable host. Can't wait for season 2.
this show just became the replacement for Top Gear America
Thank You for a great season and a very well done season finale. I will miss Garage 419 but I am looking forward to next season. Thank You good luck.
Definitely an excellent season finale. 5 stars.
Can't wait to see the next season.
Great show Matt. It can be compared with last show "good Gm, bad Gm". This is definitely GOOD FORD.
Man, that just looks like a all around fun car. Good Season Matt!
Sweet episode, amazing scenery and roads, pretty nice Stang, that 4 inch. exhaust sure goes nicely with it! that burnout at the end was bad ass, hope to see more videos on future cars. Keep up the great work Garage 419!!

great episode to end on.
congrats on the first year farrah and crew.
there were some questionable moments (ala farrah's fingerless gloves episode).. but youve kept me entertained.
thanks.
Awesome episode, awesome finale... can't wait till next season!!

If the second season will hold this episode as the base standard, season 2 shall be epic
A+ Great show!!! Pay attention to noone, keep up the good work and know you have loyal fans!!!
Great season guys! Cant wait for the next!
Oh... I'm getting goosebumps every time the guy is pressing the throttle.
Listening to some of the technical info @ about the :45 mark....I believe it's rated at 540 HP instead of 500, the previous gen of GT500 was rated at 500. Also car is limited from the factor to 155 MPH, perhaps it's able to reach 175 MPH with the factory limit removed.
Thanks Matt for a great season.
Absolutely amazing finale!
Coming from a lt1 z28 owner, I LOVE this MUSTANG!!!
The revlimiter sounds just FANTASTIC!
loved it. but no matter how badass the mustang gt500 is, it makes true track lovers wonder about that solid rear axel.
awesome season and awesome show. 4in exhaust?!!!! thats the biggest ive ever heard on a gas engine. crazy car.
love the '10 Shelby GT500 aswell as this 1st season of Garage419,looking 4ward 2 next season's heheheh...farewell 4 now
You can hear it every time the host presses the gas pedal hard, just that it does not whine like the superchargers used to. Hear it closely and you will notice even the bypass valve closing the moment the driver lifts the foot off the throttle.
I'm not sure if the one before had HQ or not because it was deleted under 8 hours after the upload time.
I think this HQ came up faster, though.
first good looking mustang in years..props, this one actually looks tough
What was the song in the end credits??? Great stuff guys, can't wait to see more from you!
yea our drive line is plenty stout too for street tires, but as soon as you track gtos with slicks or radials the axle stubs and shafts could really use some upgrading.... ps you should port the stock supercharger, pulley, meth, and a tune. the difference is AMAZING. you'll enjoy your termi like its a whole new car again
that first burnout was sick
A great end to a great season... amazing burnout at the end! THAT'S how we do it!
can't wait for next season!
I'm not really a fan of muscle cars, more so a fan of rally cars, but this car in particular gets my attention, a true piece of work. i even perfer holdens over fords... but this thing is a MONSTER

Amazing car, awesome test. I'm glad it gets your seal of approval lol
Amazing season, can't wait till the next one!
I gotta admit the rev limiter at the end was probably the best part.
that burnout was gnarly...
Im sure this has been said more times than anyone can remember, but matt certainly has the best job in the world..
EPA horsepower ratings are done at the crank, and not at the wheels. at the crank, the previous GT500 had 500hp, but had a 435hp rating at the rear wheels.
High fives all round, the show is great. When you coming back?
you my friend have got the best job on the planet
wow Thank You Garage419!!!
Hi Matt.
How did the GT500 handle at high speeds? (Above 130-140Mph).

Love the show wish i was doing what you are man. Need a driver?
G419 and FLD should be the American Top Gear, if NBC isn't looking at this, they should.
so the z06 is 41000? the new gt500 has more horses than the old one, and they fixed the old problem the last models had
it sounds like the 07 or 08 shelby gt 500!!!!!
i love this sound
Actually, its the model year 2013 GT500 that makes 662BHP.
But yes, you are correct, you could buy the 662 BHP 2013 GT500 during 2012.
And that Super Snake rocks! Shelby really knows how to pull power out of these cars!
um, the whole point of a rev limiter is specifically so the engine survives bouncing off redline. if
amazing car
also great choice of music in the end
nice vid of the new shelby.. doin all this had to be a blast...very nice.
Ok. Another question: if IRS doesn't make that much of a difference & cost around $6k more than a live axle (as u said in an earlier post), why didn't Chrysler & GM make the Challenger & Camaro with a live axle so that they would have the same base price as the Mustang? me too, dealer allocation isn't till sept. sucks waiting.

Great job with the review. Love they way you beat that snake!
I want that race between the New Camaro and the Shelby GT500... both 2010... .Let's wait for that!
@heartlessvietboy Think of it this way, loose suspension like on a wrangler means a lot of play and the car floats around, tight suspension and the car stays where it is supposed to be.

Yea, I was just saying that if you want a car that takes corners fast and easy a independent suspension might be the way to go
2010 GT500 is the hottest mustang since the the '69 GT500. I love this car!
GREAT SEASON MATT
and Tom, and JF. You guys dont get enough credit. good season its progressed well. Enjoy your downtime.
Idiot
Tell your brother not to drop the soap.
Amazing end to season 1..a very long season :)
But when will you guys be back? Can't wait :)
Lastly, rumors that the GT500 can launch to 60 mph in 4 seconds flat....is it true?
Very well done!
the production quality has taken a definitive step up recently!
I really look forward to next season.
Do a spot on Fiat!
damn what a cool burnout at the end, will wait for next seson
That would be bad ass tho! Real classic stlying and modern performance.. HELL YEAH!
now I'm beginning too see a new era in Americans cars...,ZR1, CTS-V, and now this...RESPECT!!
