    I just bought a new Rogue & it’s by far the best mower I’ve ever had the pleasure of mowing with. There may be better mowers out there, but for the price of these monsters, I’ll stay with Bad Boy.

    I love the rear discharge option. Any idea if they're going to offer a fuel injected motor with this option in the future?
    I only use ethanol-free gas so I don't have carburetor issues but I'm always on board for ditching my carbs.

      Honestly it’s your call. But the rogue is all around more heavy duty and has a lot of great features that give it a clean ride and buttery smooth cut. When it comes to bang for your buck. You’re getting more steel when you buy the rogue.

    That rear discharge looks interesting. Wonder if the engine area gets more grass on it.

    • @TractorBobs
      @TractorBobs  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Maybe just a little more grass than with the side discharge. The way the underside of the mower is designed, most of the components are covered from the bottom. There are some rear vents cut out facing the opposite direction of where the grass comes out for the engine.

    I’m having trouble deciding on the Maverick HD or the Rogue. I have a big yard and the 72” deck would be nice. Right now I have a Kubota ZD-28 diesel with a 72” deck but she’s old and the deck is getting ready to be junk, engine still runs great. Time for an upgrade but don’t know which one to get?

    • @TractorBobs
      @TractorBobs  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      If you have 4.5+ acres get the rogue with a 72” cut. If you’re under that amount get the maverick HD if you want to save the money. Honestly though… we are having a sale on the Rebel x right now. It has a smooth ride great cut and comes in a 72” cut like the rogue. Plus we are giving $500 off the rebel x and a free spring trimmer and free lifetime powertrain warranty! Give us a call tomorrow if you’d like to order one for delivery or pickup (405)604-5454

    First I hear of the rear discharge, which deck do you think would be better for cutting higher grass? Is the wind rowing terrible with the rear discharge?

    • @TractorBobs
      @TractorBobs  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The side discharge will be better for taller grass. Because of the nature of the airflow. The rear discharge is safer for cutting around other people or in neighborhoods. And the rear discharge are better for maneuverability. Hope this helps!

      Wind Rowing ?

    • @lennyjourdan8782
      @lennyjourdan8782 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Wind rowing is when the discharged grass forms clumped lines behind the mower like “rows”
      Similar to what a single spindle bush hog does

    • @bera2762
      @bera2762 หลายเดือนก่อน

      In my experience rear discharge is great for mowing extremely tall grass since it has a wider area for clippings to exit than side discharge but behind are the trimmings in a row like you could take a hay bailer after to make hay bails. With side discharge the clippings must pass from left to middle to right then exit taking more power. At least on hustler brand. I have. 2003 hustler super z with original Honda engine and hydros. Any of these mowers today will cut the grass and will last with proper maintenance.

    I bought a 37 hp vanguard 61” cut Rogue on April 20th and I feel I bought a lemon. I’m waiting to see what will happen or how it will get fixed. It feels like it slips when it is hot while I’m turning especially if deck is engaged. I bought it on a Saturday and it was in the shop the next Friday April 26th. It was in the shop for 11 days. The bad boy rep hadn’t seen this before and they had a tech come out and bleed hydros after mechanic already did they put new drive belt on it and they messed with rpm’s which is still running same as my buddies that bought one from the same dealer the day mine went in the shop. I had my buddy bring his to my house today and he drove mine and I drove his. Still has an issue and he said it isn’t right either. My 2016 Scag Tiger Cat doesn’t drive like this so I’m pretty irritated over it after all the money I spent. Great machine besides my hydro issues feeling like they are slipping. I just let my dealer know today I’m not happy with it considering my buddies machine exact same model engine everything doesn’t have the issue. If Bad Boy doesn’t resolve the issue it’s going to aggravate me and make me wish I bought the Toro Zmaster 4000 with the MyRide I tried out last fall.

      Sorry for not replying. Didn’t realize someone asked me a question. My dealer happened to be awesome and traded me the 37 hp vanguard for a 35 hp Kawasaki. Needless to say they say all of them do this from the way the hydros are. The vanguard did it more because it had more torque. To me it felt like something wrong with it because I’ve never been on a zero turn that did that until that vanguard and I’ve been on many brands of zero turns. Great zero turn if you can get past that feeling.

    Scag and Grasshopper are the best. Especially their warranty and services. Which are a big deal to commercial mowers.
    Btw: compact tractors: buy a Massey Ferguson or a Yanmar instead of a Kubota or JD. Massey and Yanmar have better performance, warranty and services. JD is simply to expensive die to "American made", and Kubota performance is less than Yanmar. Only thing JD and Kubota have going for them: much dealers because USA customers can't read the performance sheets apples to apples. And are to sensitive for marketing. Instead of buying what Americans need, Americans buy what looks good to make neighbours jealous.
    Luckily I'm European and live in both Canada and The Netherlands.

    • @T_81535
      @T_81535 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Scag and grasshopper are way over priced and don't bring anything special to the table. Same engine options, same running gear, same clutch as badboy. Warranty maybe weaker for bad boy but that's honestly not as big of a deal as one may think. The two biggest differences between bad boy and the two you mentioned is the bad boy is a lot more steel for a lot less money.

      Scag and Grasshopper are overpriced. Massey and Yanmar are good, but I don’t like the way their controls are set up. John Deere did lose their mind on parts prices.

      I don't understand why people are so brand specific on zero turns. All you need to look at are frame/deck build, wheels, electronics, warranty support, and suspension (If applicable). The engines options, transmissions, and spindles are pretty much the same across the board.
      No shade on Scag, but I would consider these, Hustler, Ferris, Bobcat, Stihl, etc.
      I really like the heavy duty frames on these.
