I recently bought a Kubota, I went with Kubota because they are the Toyota of tractors. Reliability, Resale, and parts and service available. I looked at Mahindra, New Holland, Kioti and Massey Ferguson. I could have saved several Thousand dollars with more standard upgrades. I started out looking for a used tractor but I saw a lot of Korean/China made tractors with less than 200 hours being sold as is that has issues which tells me the quality control is not as good on these brands. Just my Humble opinion.

Just purchased a TYM 494 ROPS paid $32,000 including tax . Could have stepped up to the 574 but 494 was more tractor than I really needed plus the turbo is just something else that could possibly give problems later on after warranty was done. Unit came with grapple, stump bucket, land plane, tires filled and several other odd and ends even has blue tooth speakers and work lights. The tractor is outstanding. My dealer is 15 miles away and maintenance on tractor is very easy to do. Felt the price was very fair. Very happy with purchase would do all over again if needed. PS GREAT VIDEO THANK YOU.

I bought the TYM 574C for a lot of the same reasons. I've had it for about a year and love it except for some of the ergonomics. The 3pt raise/lower lever and 2 hydraulic levers are a little cumbersome but work. Getting into and out of the cab is a little tight if you are in L range ( lever sticks front ). Still very happy with my decision after trading my Deere 3033R in on it when it kept breaking ( it was new ).

I went through the same review last year. It came down to TYM and Kioti. I went with Kioti due to the dealership being nearby and has been around for 40+ years. The TYM dealer would not change out the tires from R4 to either R14 ( preferred ) or R1 which brought the tractors more or less to the same price point. I certainly agree with you on the simplicity of the engine and the dealership even indicated that a DPF delete was very simple once the warranty expired. With one would have been a good choice for me. Good choice for you.

Hard to argue Brock! I love my Kubota and it’s my second one. Resale and dealer support were my reasons why. No doubt if I had access to these other dealers, perhaps I may have been easier to move. Hard to argue with selling a machine, 12 years into ownership for what you payed for it. After looking at a lot of tractors, I bought a used JD 2630 (75 HP) for $6,000. It has a new short block, injection pump, Hydraulic pump, and one new rear tire. I bought a new rear tire that matches. I bought an original matching 145 front end loader at auction. I ordered new hydraulic lines as the previous owner had installed rubber lines and were in the way of the front end installation. My dealer had to order the steel hydraulic lines from Atlanta for about $300 (three lines) and got them in 2 days. Almost everything else I needed the dealer had in stock. People, this is a 50 year old machine and absolutely no issue getting parts. There are no electronic issues with this machine ever lol, only electrical parts on the machine are the starter, alternator, lights. and battery. I plan to install new front tires and paint this winter and I will have around $10,000. I bought original factory repair manuals on EBay.

I sold my Kubota M7060 with 700hrs and bought a TYM T494 with a cab. I had a lot of sleepless nights wondering if I made the right choice. I now have 150 hours on the T494, and I couldn't be happier. It lifts almost as much as the m7060 It plows wet heavy snow better using the same 8' plow it pulls logs pretty good not as good as the Kubota, but it has 20hp less. Tym also has a 6-year warranty and Kubota has 3. I like the Kukje engine also, I went with the T494 because It didn't have a turbo just one less thing to brake. It does seem to use a little more fuel than the Kubota but not terrible. I enjoyed your videos on all the different tractors you did a great job and will be a help to anyone looking to buy a new tractor. Take care

I considered Deere, tym and yanmar. After operating the ihmt trans, you really learn how gutless the hydrostatics are. That, coupled with reliability and overall quality, the yanmar really stood out to me. The Deere was too pricey, and the tym was too cheap feeling.

    • @helihoot
      @helihoot หลายเดือนก่อน +5

The YT359C is a work of art and a super strong machine. The IHMT transmission is an engineering marvel that works like an HST but is much more efficient.
The A/B mode is amazing. Ground speed and engine rpm set independently in two separate modes. I'm thinking Brock didn't get to experience it's advantages.
Automotive style cruise control, dual rear remotes standard. 2500lb FEL lifting capacity.
Much much more. Pure hydrostatic like the TYM is a turn off. Too inefficient.

I"ve got a yanmar 359c with just under 50 hrs on it. Like the tractor turns on a dime everything works slick as a button. One thing i dont like is the speed difference between the gears in 3rd it will run 18mph in 2nd 6mph 1st is a crawl. Sometimes you just need more speed without having to change gears. Thats me being picky.

I was skeptical when U posted this video! I figured U went with BOBCAT & I was all set to tell U how bad of a decision that would have been, BUT now U have me all interested in a TYM! I even contacted my local dealer to see if they will price match the guy U have listed! Will look forward to more videos on this tractor!!

Looks like a great machine, I’d probably still go with a kioti here because of where the dealer is, but I think TYM definitely has some great tractors. Looking forward to future videos with it!

4/30/24..yo Brock, much impressed with your channel in general & your recent 6-10 recent videos re: ~60HP 4WD cab tractor comparisons..misc features & $$$.🚜 That was a great series & today you summarized all your research, time, study, travel/milage, dealer conversations/consultations...you did a very good job 👍on assimilating tons of details resulting in a best choice for your needs...& congrats to that dealer✅️ for recognizing the power of YT visibility easily translating into sales $$ not only for him, but also for TYM nationally. Kinda cool he also threw in that $1.00/mile delivery! Bet he will get several sales due to that factor as well.
Ok Brock, "school talk/comparisons' are over now...let's get to work! Show us how you use that new Red machine...let's 'make some dust!'...😊💪

Great choice Brock. I can’t wait to see the TYM working in future videos. The only reason I didn’t go with TYM is the closest dealer is 130 miles away. I went with a Kubota MX5400 that dealer is only 4 miles away and I have known the owner since we were kids. He gave me a great deal. I really enjoyed this series. You did a fantastic job. Thanks

I came out of a smaller B1700 Kubota, looking for a bigger tractor with a cab. I looked at many of the brands, but for the money i went with the TYM 474. A comparable Kubota would have cost me 25k more, and so far I've been very pleased.

  • @AStanton1966

I own 2 Kubota's. The only thing I would give them a negative on are features. I bought a B3030 winter cabbed tractor about 12 years ago. They no longer make this model. The tractor was over $25K and and came without a factory installed 12-volt port. In addition, the wheels were so close to the frame that I couldn't run chains for winter use. So I had to install factory wheel spacers.

TYM price point is a big plus, but it does come to mind an old saying, the cheapest is NOT always the least expensive. For example, resale.....a 5 yr. old JD or Kubota will still bring 45-50k, if it is well maintained. A concern with the TYM is all the components, A/C compressor & system, hyd. pump, transmission, etc. , have they cut corners to get the price down?

I honestly thought you wouldnt give TYM a chance given your JD history. My Kioti/New Holland dealership manager hadnt even heard of TYM. Kubota salesman either. I think TYM's awareness will spread like wild fire in coming years. I know its sparse down in south Florida in JD, Case, and Kubota land.

Solid choice Brock. TYM was my second choice when I was shopping for a new tractor. Came down to dealer. I have 3 Kioti Dealers in easy driving distance from me. TYM had none that were close. I went away from JD also after all my life on one. Still have 2 JDs but when I went new, I went away from them. I’ll guess I’ll be first to say I never was impressed with Kubota and tried to include them in my research but kept away as I’ve have not had good experiences with them. Anyway Congrats

Congratulations on the tractor! I’ve been eyeing the 494 - same thing no turbo. I was a little discouraged looking at the TYM operators manual available on their website. Seemed to lack a lot of details that manuals from other brands have, like proper ballasting and implement limitations. I also like the Kioti DK4720se and NS series, and there’s a good dealer nearby. I also have Kubota and Deere dealers nearby but the $$$ thing is real…

I haven't watched the video on the Kukje engine yet, but I used to have an old Volkswagon Squareback that had mechanical fuel injection. It was very unreliable and constantly needed maintenance. So, I cringe when I hear mechanical fuel injection, but I'm open minded and will watch that video next.

I found what you said about price is true. When we were looking for a cab tractor, I priced Kubota and John Deere and they were about $10K more than what we ended up buying. We ended up with a New Holland Boomer 50 HST for price and availability. At the time we bought 2 years ago, availability was still a big factor. We had a 6 week wait for our tractor rather than a 6 to 9 month wait. 375 hours on the machine now and I've had zero problems with it. It's not perfect, were I to design it, I would change one or two things. The main thing I would change is the range select lever.. Winter time I have a snow plow on the front and a snow blower on the back. Turning around to blow snow put my right knee up against the range select lever and it get in the way a bit. I would like an outside lever to adjust the 3 point when hooking up also. Other than those two complaints, I think it is a great machine.

Brock, I'm new to tractors and your videos have been so helpful. Thank you so much for all the effort you have put in to making these videos. I was thinking the same thing that you mentioned, that I could buy two TYM tractors for the price of a Deer or Kabota and have a large one when I need a lot of power and a small one when I need to get in tight areas.

TYM is the tractor I had picked you going with. The only reason I said maybe LS is if you decided you wanted some bells and whistles. Personally the TYM by keeping manual injector pump and less bells and whistles has made it a more dependable and lower parts cost tractor. I wish I had a dealer closer to me, 4 and 6 hour one way drive is just to far. As we all know you will have to get parts sooner or later. I would prefer to have a good dealer within 1 hour one way drive, 4 to 6 hour drive one way I'm having to take off work then spend the whole day driving in a rush.
