POE2 looks good, but let's be honest. There's a lot of POE1 here and none of it is revolutionary or genre defining. It's more refining what they have already done.
@@Juggernaut76 i would say it gathers and enhances most of the mechanics from other ARPG games, including PoE1. Endagame map for instance looks very similar to what Last Epoch has. Sockets socketing via corruption - from Project Diablo 2, etc
I really enjoyed D4 S6 despite the poor overall reception. I've also tried POE 1 at least 5 times in the past and was never able to stick with it. It's not the complexity that turned me off, but frustration with the gem system and gear socket/colors. I see that POE 2 fixes my main gripes and I'm bound and determined to give it a fair shake on December 6th. I for one am excited to try it and what they've shown is pretty incredible.
I’m truly impressed by what GGG is planning to deliver. I've been a loyal Diablo player since D2 and briefly checked out PoE1. But what PoE2 is aiming to offer its player base is absolutely phenomenal, and I currently find myself converted from Blizzard to GGG. You can really sense the passion for the game and the genre from the folks at GGG, much like what I noticed with the developers of LE.
I cant express how much i like GGG for not putting in the cheap solution in terms of difficulties. Its so easy to just put "easy - medium - hard etc etc". By having the whole game at the same base difficulty it feels more unified. When someone talks about a campaign boss, everyone is immediately on the same page and can offer advice and so on. Instead of just simply scale the difficulty down to the point where you cannot fail. It just gives the game more meaning to me.
Like your attitude regarding supporter packs. I have spent almost 2k$ on Poe 1 and purchased the top tier supporter pack yesterday during the announcement stream. They deserve being supported and I cannot wait till December 6. I will go all in in Poe 2…
I does have the visual effects, but it lacks everything else, skill twig is a joke, builds are lackluster, you don't have much room to think about it. On the other hand too much customization can be bad too, I don't like how in PoE2 you can use all skills with every class, I prefer it to be restricted, same with PoE 1 and why I never liked it. Personally the perfect ARPG to me is one that doesn't exist and is a mix between poe and diablo.
@AndreyGP Yeah but I feel like the visual effects that D4 have aren't as Vivid and all over the place like POE2 has displayed here. I know it's not meta but I often try to build classes on D4 with the most booming visual effects in screen. Maybe I'm the weird one out lol but I love seeing my screen splash with effects that glow and look cool.
@@AndreyGPD4 only has the cutscenes. The visual effects in the game are terrible. Looking at a side by side comparison of D4 and PoE2 is night and day, PoE2 everything looks crisp and vivid, D4 is just bland and desaturated.

Hey raxx been using your guides for d4 and poe for a while now... would love to see the thought process or things to look out for, or even just general concepts to pay attention to when making a build. Love all the work you put into helping to the arpg communities can't wait to see what you do for poe 2. ❤
Super hyped for Poe2 , I have 4500h in Poe1 , 1500h in D3,500h in D4, about 2000h in D2. I've been playing on and off Poe1 since 2012 , took a few years off from 2015 to 2017 ,since then I've been playing almost every league. Even as a super bad player poe it's been my favorite arpg,I've only killed Maven last year and only got my first HH and MG 1 league ago For me D3-D4 were a 14-20-30h turn brain off and do big dmg , gear well and done The thing I'm super excited about is the bosses , they look amazing and I love the more souls like dodge, learn movement ,mechanics
Something great to know about the endgame in po2. is that each of the endgame trees get points for that tree speceficly by doing that content. to make a d4 comparison, you do helltide you get points for the helltide tree, you do nightmare dungeon you get nightmare dungeon tree points. And because of that, you dont have a pool of points that you need to decide which tree to use them in.
Happy for you that you found a new game to go deep into - can really relate here GGG overdelivered and made me realize how fortunate we are to play such an amazing game.
i would like if you can do a everything you know about poe2 breakdown and also a characters breakdown for the people that arent unsure what to pick, would be great! You are the best as always ;)
In Path of Exile, you don’t necessarily need to strictly follow a build guide. The fun lies in exploring and creating your own build. While your build may not be optimal at first, you can gradually improve it by understanding the underlying mechanics and logic from build guides. Over time, this understanding will allow you to enhance your build independently, without needing to follow every step precisely.
Thank you for pointing out the supporter pack / early access keys. I didn't play POE1 but I'm heading over there now to buy some supporter stuff for POE2
@@Gimpo925 Sure, but it turns a lot of us away with it's old feeling combat and gem system(needing perfect gem slots). PoE2 is what they needed to pull in even more casual fans like me.

@@dvdgnz1 The thing with poe is that there soooo many mobs on the screen. I love the difficulty curve of POE, I also love the fact that post campaign every death is punished with xp loss. It makes those choices mean something. Plus by the time you hit endgame you have a powerful build. Where in d3 you used to hit endgame and would hit like a wet noodle. I think GGG just really killed it in the game design department and is doing such a great job. I left the livestream feeling like that is an amazingly done game and I am going to have hundreds of hours in the early access, and we wont even have the full thing yet with 3 more acts coming. I also love the fact that they wanted us to play the whole game during early access so they just repackaged the first 3 acts so we had something to play while running towards endgame.

Starting @6:15 you mention if we, the audience, would like a separate video about "everything I know about Path of Exile". The answer is yes, yes we would love that Raxx.
The gameplay looks more deliberate and soulslike. A huge plus to people that typically hate these arpgs for feeling like mindless grinds. This one might break that trend. I love endless rpg systems like anyone else but need the difficulty/challenge to put it to the test and really make it worth it. Mechanical skill, encounter memorization and rpg build craft may actually matter in this game.
The Atlas is an amazing port/twist on delve, I was wondering yesterday where is delve, and realized its the atlas. Super cool stuff. I haven't been this excited for a game in a long time, have 6k hours in POE1 cant wait for 6k and more in POE2.
Oh, one point about the Atlas Passive trees - it's not OR, it's AND, when talking about points for the different trees. The whole point of separating them is that you don't have to choose between mechanics - you just do the mechanics more, and get points to spend in that particular tree. The "general" Atlas Passive Tree is fairly small and covers basic, universal things unrelated to the major mechanics, like just adding more monsters, shrines, strongboxes, etc. I think you understood, but the way it came out might give the wrong idea. Just wanna throw that out there for anyone that might be confused.
I'm honestly stoked to hear you're gonna go ass-deep into PoE2 when it drops. I watched with Quin and we all felt like little kids on Christmas. I can't wait, looks way better that I ever thought. Looks like so much thought went into it.
Been a Diablo fan since 2001 with Diablo 2 LOD. The build diversity looks astonishing in POE2. It makes D4 look like a 3 year olds toy the way skills work and how everyone is forced to use the same builds, it's so linear. Everyone uses the same gear, everyone uses the same weapons, the same gems. Will definitely be trying this game.
Casuals make it seem that way Mr. Content creator makes a build and says it does 300 gorillion damage and make the game a breeze Casuals use it because they only care about 'beating' the game as fast as possible There's much more build diversity outside of Spiritborn - Druid alone has 6 different builds at lvl 100+ pit which should be the true measuring stick of a good build Still it won't come close to PoE2s diversity though, it's inheriting a lot from PoE1 and it's approach to classes is far looser than D4 You can use any weapon on any class and Ascendancies just refine what you can do, which can force you to use, say just 2H swords
you earned my respect for your objectivity long time ago. now that you are going to play poe2 i definitly am curious about your future content :) time to finally subscribe here! as for videos i would love a more detailled look into the ascendancies and possible ideas on cross class synergies.
I'm literally the person you described "Diablo fan who checked out POE and noped out". I'm super excited about POE2 though. It looks like they kept enormous depth while also lowering the barrier of entry for people like me without a thousand hours to devote to the game. I think I'll grab the early access pack.
I am so excited for this game. I really love POE 1 but coming into it so late in its life was difficult as there was just too man things to learn and for someone with a full time job and family, it just became very staggering and intimidating. I am excited to come into POE 2 fresh so I can learn them as I go. I know this game will be a fucking masterpiece.
Early access purchased! I'll be looking forward to any and all vids you create for this, to walk this Grand-dad gamer through this maze. Thanks Raxx for helping, you are an awesome contributor, and I'm a big fan.
So as someone who has struggled with PoE on multiple occasions, I cannot thank GGG enough for basically fixing every major gripe I have ever had with it. They have basically managed to totally dismantle the barrier to entry WITHOUT sacrificing the integrity or spirit of PoE unlike D4. They really are clowning on the Diablo team and it's sad to see, but maybe this will finally get the D4 devs to stop being complacent (I genuinely want both games to do well it doesn't have to be one or the other) The wildest thing to me was when they said on stream that there are so many cross class combinations that even they have no idea of the full extent of build possibilities and there are no words for how much that excites me, because that is the one thing I crave most in any kind of looter; The ability to just experiment and come up with truly insane brews. I don't care about what's meta, I care if something can work and be fun at least in some capacity. D4 is utterly hamstrung by frankly being too much of a basic bitch. They're starting to change that now, but A LOT more needs to happen. So keeping my fingers crossed that PoE 2 will force more positive change across the genre.
Blizzard used to be the standard for ARPGs with Diablo. Well that just isn't the case anymore. GGG is innovative and willing to think outside the box to provide players with NEW experiences.
A few years ago I was a hardcore believer of "D3 > POE" and every time I tried I just gave up in campaign. It wasn't until my brother literally walked with me through the campaign to finally hit maps/endgame did it really shine to me that D3 had nothing close to POE. POE's endgame is what makes it an amazing game honestly, so I feel bad for all the new people that give up before they can really see how amazing it is. POE2 will be even better.
I like D4 and struggle once in a while playing POE (my latest bad character started this week is level 70) but I can play one without a build guides....and insist on playing both without build guides:) What I saw in the POE2 check in yesterday made me put money in to POE for the first time ever...still complicated but also more approachable. Really looking forward to it
i like how they explain mostly things every poe player know , but every new player should know to start the game , good to see they are not focusing on the veterans ,but want to bring many new people to try and enjoy the new game that is coming out.
Even though I’m a casual player I loved Poe 1 and understanding the mechanics. But since there was about 10 years to catch up on it was very difficult. With poe2 I will stay casual. I love everything shown and all the new player buffs. I know that this game will be similar to Poe but I will be treating Poe 2 as a fresh start for me to learn and play with passion.
there are so many good ideas in poe2 that really tackle issues i've had with all arpgs since forever. Grinding maps just gets dull, linking it to a world system you can manipulate, just adds some extra spice, small layers to keep things fresh. Having difficulty actually give legit rewards and new mechanics is huge. One of the biggest issues with arpgs in the past has been always doing slightly easier content to farm things faster. All the quality of life stuff also sounds great. PoE 1 was a great game but its complexity kinda hurt itsself over the years. hopefully poe 2 wont have the same issues overtime.
This game looks so sick. I've been playing Project Diablo 2 every season and hoping for something to scratch that same itch. I just couldn't get into PoE1. Not because of the complexity, it just kinda makes my eyes glaze over b/c I don't know what I'm looking for. I think that might be the ticket, considering a lot of the best mechanics of PoE were ported to PD2's end game, which is literally the entire point of the game. I love how it looks like you actually have to play to the strengths of your playstyle in PoE2 and not just press the delete horde button. I've even seen prime/detonate playstyles, which I've always enjoyed a lot more than smash all the skills or press one skill to win.
Games like this that have a massive store with SUPER COOL EFFECTS, I dont mind buying to support the devs. All store bought items from POE 1 transfer to POE 2. Blizzard would never do that.
13:39 Actually, while it has a good story, BG3 has also a good replayability: Multiclass, skills on item, creative powers, 600 spells, big slot bar in 2 dimensions (width and height), hidden paths, many ways to solve problems, the game rarely says no, cheese everywhere. The only thing missing is generated content in order to extend the life of the title.
POE2 creates real new fun engaging content and has massive progression systems while Diablo 4 is creating activites that your iterate over and over until you want to throw up, its suck a big difference between the companies/teams and that is why i also bought a supporter package, see you in POE2, much love GGG
The character selection screen has to be the best version I’ve seen in any game. Just a small detail but it’s great. They all hang apart from the one you pick
Nice Vid, since yesterday a fall in love with this coming overwhelming game that i dont understand fully yet, but with one more abo in your channel we all will find out soon :)
I first tried PoE1 last year and i was admittedly overwhelmed by how much stuff there after over 10 years of content updates. I "only" played around 100 hours or so and then stopped, not because i didn't enjoy my time but because it just felt like there was too much "catching up" for me to do so i decided to just wait for a fresh start with the release of PoE2 and fully commit to that game. I'm insanely hyped for early access after watching the livestream yesterday, all the gameplay looked absolutely incredible and they just kept going with "But wait, there is MORE!" when talking about the endgame. As much as i love other ARPGs like Last Epoch or Grim Dawn and the older Diablo titles... if they can deliver on all that they have shown PoE2 is so above and beyond any of them it's not even funny. And all that with drop dead gorgeous visuals.
I have a similar view on Poe2. I've spent close to 4k hours in poe and feel like a complete noob. In PoE2 I'll stay away from build guides and grind all the knowledge I need to understand all the stuff from the get go. It'll take a few seasons maybe, but I'm in it for the long run.
Thank you this great video convinced me to play POE2. I played POE1 but stopped at some point for the reasons you mentioned. And thank you for your great work, it's always a pleasure to watch your content.
Actually even they don't know what combinations of kills, runes will come out. It's limitless. I'm thinking about a Ranger/Mercenary hybrid or maybe a Ranger that uses ice skills to freeze them before shooting them, Sorcerer with ice skills from the Monk, etc.

@@Juggernaut76 i would say it gathers and enhances most of the mechanics from other ARPG games, including PoE1. Endagame map for instance looks very similar to what Last Epoch has. Sockets socketing via corruption - from Project Diablo 2, etc
@@j.d.3890Agreed. I thought about LE right away when maps were shown.
The fact that it really didn't look that good to me makes me think I must not like the genre that much.
I put in about 600 hrs in POE circa 2016-2018, can't wait to come back to this game.
Like your attitude regarding supporter packs. I have spent almost 2k$ on Poe 1 and purchased the top tier supporter pack yesterday during the announcement stream. They deserve being supported and I cannot wait till December 6. I will go all in in Poe 2…
Already bought the Liberator of Wraeclast pack!!! Lets go!!!
Wanna buy me one too please? 😅
you could buy a horse in D4 with that money... oh wait you need more money for the horse...
@@chireaionut8473must be a fast horse 😂
Man, I wish D4 had all these class intergrations, Bosses and super cool visual effects. POE2 is looking amazing!
@@AndreyGPyou can make your build using only the skills for your class, you have to check a box to look at the others
@@roadrash2005 I know you can, but it'll not be optimal and I know I'll be playing a bad build, which I don't like too.
Looking forward to your PoE2 content (as well as any other content from you about games you like). Guess we’re all waiting for Dec 6th now let’s gooooo!
Even as a super bad player poe it's been my favorite arpg,I've only killed Maven last year and only got my first HH and MG 1 league ago
For me D3-D4 were a 14-20-30h turn brain off and do big dmg , gear well and done
The thing I'm super excited about is the bosses , they look amazing and I love the more souls like dodge, learn movement ,mechanics
Same bro, same... Same cv here 🙂
Something great to know about the endgame in po2. is that each of the endgame trees get points for that tree speceficly by doing that content. to make a d4 comparison, you do helltide you get points for the helltide tree, you do nightmare dungeon you get nightmare dungeon tree points. And because of that, you dont have a pool of points that you need to decide which tree to use them in.
Happy for you that you found a new game to go deep into - can really relate here
GGG overdelivered and made me realize how fortunate we are to play such an amazing game.
i would like if you can do a everything you know about poe2 breakdown and also a characters breakdown for the people that arent unsure what to pick, would be great! You are the best as always ;)
In Path of Exile, you don’t necessarily need to strictly follow a build guide. The fun lies in exploring and creating your own build. While your build may not be optimal at first, you can gradually improve it by understanding the underlying mechanics and logic from build guides. Over time, this understanding will allow you to enhance your build independently, without needing to follow every step precisely.
people dont have time for that, thats why diablo 4 has so many players, the barrier and time requirement for it it's too much
Thank you for pointing out the supporter pack / early access keys. I didn't play POE1 but I'm heading over there now to buy some supporter stuff for POE2
POE2 will be the new Bar for Arpg’s
@@Jdiroe Poe is still THE BAR all these years later. D4 reached for it and was very short.
@@Gimpo925 Sure, but it turns a lot of us away with it's old feeling combat and gem system(needing perfect gem slots). PoE2 is what they needed to pull in even more casual fans like me.
@@dvdgnz1 if you choose to let your combat feel old, that's on you in PoE, and you don't "need" perfect gem slots unless you're running end game maps, plus there's multiple currencies to augment gem slots
@DarkTooniverse nah, it's on the engine. Feels like a game from 2005. You're wading through paper enemies. PoE2 will fix that.
POE2 is my Christmas gift, I already told the wife she agreed to give all of December as a me month to enjoy myself on this game.
A great idea Raxx is to give away the extra early access keys during a subathon on the early release date. I supported them by buying the 480$ supporter pack and got 2 extra keys! It's awesome.
I already knew i was gonna try out POE 2 when it came out but my excitement level was lukewarm at best, but after the stream i'm 100% pumped for it, i cant wait when it comes out in a couple weeks! Im looking forward to all your guide videos for POE 2 Rax, i'm gonna be fully committed to this game for the foreseeable future.
That PoE2 2 livestream yesterday killed any excitement I might have had for D4 season 7. I just don't care about D4 now.
This game looks crazy I'm with you Rax with all of the future hours you will be playing!
looking forward to POE2 and will follow your journey. Order of Support pack done. My playtime on POE1 was 451 hour.
Thanks a lot for this video! Please do other POE2 videos! Much appreciated Raxx!
Santa's coming sooner this year, and it wear a blue hoodie. Love your content and your passion. Can't wait to see all the good stuff you're going to make for POE2.
Just the character selection screen with the gallows, would be enough to get me to play this. It looks so good so far.
Every new player including myself will need your guide videos. This game will get a ton of new players
Raxx you mention you might make a video explaining everything you know about poe2. Please do it. As a new player your info is much appreciated. You are a legend in the arpg community and your videos and knowledge are unmatched.
Raxx, yes please make a more detailed video about everything you understand about POE 2. I think that would help some of us.
Thanks @Raxxanterax for this video, always a good time :) Looking forward for your guides and blast the hell of this game :D Cheers from France
Looking forward to your POE 2 content. Always wish you played more POE 1 so it makes me happy to hear you will make more content on the second one.
title is absolute right. the stream hyped me up so damn much. it looked like an absolute gem of a game.
Hyped for the game after nope-ing out of PoE1 as you said. Just subscribed and definitely looking forward to an overall info video. 👍
Casuals make it seem that way
Mr. Content creator makes a build and says it does 300 gorillion damage and make the game a breeze
Casuals use it because they only care about 'beating' the game as fast as possible
There's much more build diversity outside of Spiritborn - Druid alone has 6 different builds at lvl 100+ pit which should be the true measuring stick of a good build
Still it won't come close to PoE2s diversity though, it's inheriting a lot from PoE1 and it's approach to classes is far looser than D4
You can use any weapon on any class and Ascendancies just refine what you can do, which can force you to use, say just 2H swords
Raxx must be very happy now since he can start the learning curve at the same time with everyone else.
you earned my respect for your objectivity long time ago. now that you are going to play poe2 i definitly am curious about your future content :) time to finally subscribe here! as for videos i would love a more detailled look into the ascendancies and possible ideas on cross class synergies.
So hyped for POE2! Looking forward to the challenge and end game. Let’s get it fellow exiles!
bro POE2 looks INSANEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! I almost did a standing ovation while watching what theyre doing
Don't forget main thing .. poe2 will not take away all your gear after few months.. Honestly I can't wait for this game . 💪👊
Love the new lighting at the new place.
Early access purchased! I'll be looking forward to any and all vids you create for this, to walk this Grand-dad gamer through this maze. Thanks Raxx for helping, you are an awesome contributor, and I'm a big fan.
In Eaccess have more contents than finished games of the genre..... that s HUGE
hope Rax will blast his soul and share lot of good videos
I must say... Poe2 looks amaizing. Incredible job they done and they keep bar high... Beautifull
Rax will single handedly increase the poe2 launch queue by 10K if he makes videos
They really are clowning on the Diablo team and it's sad to see, but maybe this will finally get the D4 devs to stop being complacent (I genuinely want both games to do well it doesn't have to be one or the other)
The wildest thing to me was when they said on stream that there are so many cross class combinations that even they have no idea of the full extent of build possibilities and there are no words for how much that excites me, because that is the one thing I crave most in any kind of looter;
The ability to just experiment and come up with truly insane brews.
Really looking forward to it
I can see you're excited and I love it! So happy to see so many content creators fired uppppppp!!! YEEAH!
i like how they explain mostly things every poe player know , but every new player should know to start the game , good to see they are not focusing on the veterans ,but want to bring many new people to try and enjoy the new game that is coming out.
What I've been waiting for the raxx recap!!!!!
If we do early access does our progress get wiped on full release?
Let's freakin go Raxx, looking forward to your PoE 2 content!
there are so many good ideas in poe2 that really tackle issues i've had with all arpgs since forever.
Good on Raxxx to actually give POE a shot.
@Rax - you almost have me convinced to try POE!
Can't wait to see you digging into the game and breaking it down for us mere mortals :) Thx for your content, see ya'll on December 6th !
As someone who has never even created a Character on POE, I could not be more excited to play POE II. I will be looking forward to your guides😅
Hey Raxxx!!Plz do another poe2 video!Iam looking forward to see a lots of it to u!
The early access date for this gamenis more exciting than Christmas!
Actually even they don't know what combinations of kills, runes will come out. It's limitless.
I'm thinking about a Ranger/Mercenary hybrid or maybe a Ranger that uses ice skills to freeze them before shooting them, Sorcerer with ice skills from the Monk, etc.
All I kept saying during that stream was dude that's is so cool. The game looks fantastic
I cannot begin to explain how excited I am for PoE2. Here's to another 20,000 hours of blasting! \0/
I have been blasting poe 1 for the last few weeks and I am giddily melting at the idea that poe 2 is close 🎉
After 8k hours in Poe, I’m average. The game takes your soul. I’m now giving it to poe2
