PoE2 should include the Devil as a boss battle so that we can face him in PoE before fighting him in Diablo 4.
make him last act boss hahahahaah
With how the campaign went, i'm pretty sure there will be a boss like Diablo in Diablo 2 for act 6 ( i im fairly sure of it now )
without spoiling too much - you're actually fighting WITH the devil

Blizzard had a hard enough time competing with one Path of Exile.
A lot of people including myself felt like they missed the boat on PoE and never picked it up. This is the perfect time to get into it. Haven't been this addicted since WoW 20 years ago.
@@bucky13 with how Poe1 works, is that quite often there are new leagues/servers (that introduce new rules/bosses/mechanics in the game) So it's always fresh
There are two paths for Blizzard to take, and they both lead to terrible defeat.
@@TheAzraiwhat do you mean. They can just fire all their lead coders, go private. And go back to the days of D2. Making games for games who like games. That's a path they can take. I wouldn't call that a loss.
@@bucky13Poe captured us old heads back in its first beta. It carry’s the true essence of d2. Poe is what Diablo once was and can never be again. Blizzard lost all their magic by dissolving Blizzard North

Your sister did.
PoE2 is closer to D2 than D3+D4 combined. They even used the same region pattern (continental > desert > jungle).
And ofc the Hooded One quest:
Tree of Souls > Root Runes > Hooded One > Free Identify / Tree of Inifuss > Stone Runes > Deckard Cain > Free Identify
PoE 2is what D3 should have been
I think it was between d2 transitioning to d3 when the OG dev and designers leave and creat Path of Exile. It was when the dumbass in blizzard exile D2 designers that lead to the birth of POE.
I played Diablo 2 remastered and the ui of POE seems similar for sure.
They also added trash uniques as a tribute to d2 ☠️
Considering how fast the queue was buzzing I have to assume the queue wasn't because they couldn't handle the number of players, but because their actual login servers were clogged and couldn't handle that many logins at the same time. Players active, yes. Logins, not so much, so we were only waiting for the people ahead of us to get into the game, not stop playing like... certain launches I could mention.
Definitely. I think they also had to restart them.
5:45 I remember seeing DM when Diablo Immortal first came out, I played that game for like 5 days and quit, thought it was dumb for him to invest so much money into it but he snowballed that investment into a whole ARPG gaming channel, glad he was able to pivot from Immortal to D4 then POE and get a following by doing what he wants to do and not beholden to just one game. mad props to that guy.
Yea, DM is cool. Glad he's finding success.
Dm deserved it too, genuinely enjoy watching bro chill. He's a dope dude whos real wholesome and pretty funny, and suprisingly skilled. Glad he made it!
7:31 - You know the game is successful when people look back at a 2 hour queue as having a good time.
Me and my discord server spent 2 hours all hyped up all shit talking each other and what number in queue they are every time the server crashed and we got new queue spots ranging from 1,500th to 23,000. We played Marvel Rivals while waiting for queues to come back up and were all afk’ing logging back in every time and laughing about how long we would have before the game crashed again. Most POE 1 server launch issues were irritating, but this was an absolute blast and enjoyment with no one getting mad about it cause we knew it was coming. Then as our last player got in from the queue and we all realized we were in and the servers were stable we all just breathed a sigh of relief before screaming out heads off trying to kill a Witch at level 2 😂
Launch day was a blast.
THIS is gold!
Dont ask why ... but legit when i know im 99% sure i like the game ...... i like the hype moment waiting to get in the game even in que ... and poe2 que was not even that bad .. imagine over 1 mil ppl loggin in .. and que took only few mins .. .sure there was few crashes and ... we had to wait to them do final touches to server .. but the ques itself took only few minutes :D
sure d4 did have super smooth launch .... but thats prob only because diablo had p2w few days early access ofc launch is smooth when 50% players log in earlier than others xD

I didn’t play Poe. I am really enjoying POE 2. I never thought it was “too hard”. I just thought I needed to level up more or get a better build. I got a better build and now it’s I’m having even more fun.
Edit: I’m playing Monk
I tried poe late and felt it was very bloated by then. Wasn't hard but it was too easy to make a bad character. I wasn't willing to spend hours and hours to learn how to build. Maybe poe2 will be a good one to jump into
Honestly if you just go to the trade website when you find your first few exalts and search for your best weapon worth 1-2 exalt, nothing is hard
People who are complaining about the pace of PoE 2 low-key just want PoE 2 to be a graphical update to PoE 1.
But there's a reason GGG decided to make it a new title.
It plays differently.
I hope GGG does not listen too much to complaints just to cater to the turbo-casual audience (not that there's anything wrong with that IN GENERAL, but those people won't have the patience to wait for their feedback to be implemented anyways, it's a waste of time)
Im a witch only lvl 29 its felt near perfect difficulty wise so far. I never played poe 1
@@robdeboneI’m playing minion witch and having a much better time versus warrior lol hopefully they buff it later on because I do like playing warrior archetypes
All the POE2 complaints mean little to me. It is WAY BETTER than D4 and way less confusing than POE1. No bloat, yet still lots of content even with only half and in EA. Also, I've got 2 characters in act 4, died lots but never frustratingly. If you're struggling you're just not paying attention to gear and vendors. Honestly I just one shot the level 50 act 4 boss with a level 33 staff on my monk. It's really not that bad.
Agreed, the fact that it could be a lot better doesn't mean it isn't already really good.
seconded.
Whats fun about that?
you had a good level 33 item when you were level 50, when my witch was level 37 my best peice was like level 16-20. loot was bad before patch
Of course theres things that could be better, but the game is SO goddamn good.
Mind you, POE2 didn't kill D4, it only desecrated it's already rotting corpse.
Diablo 4 ruined the genre for me forever. Have 0 interest in playing arpgs anymore. It's a genre that worked in the year 2000 because that's what technology allowed. It's 2024, we don't need to play overhead SNES like action games. "Dodge" mechanics, nope...I'm good
@@sbarter SNES action games are still awesome 🥲
I think D4 could be a good game in a few years if they don't give up on it, and make some good decisions. The problem is that it will probably never be even remotely close to as good as POE2 will be. I think it could still be a good game for more casual players though.
People forget, but it took like 5 years for D2 to get into a really good state. Realistically though I think it will continue to be mid then stop being developed, but I hope I'm wrong.
@@sbarter I mean... we don't need to but we want to. Many of us. That's why people love PoE 2. If you personally don't like it that's fine, as long you realize that this genre does still have a lot of people that love it.
POE2 used Detonate Dead on D4s corpse.
Got two characters in act 2 cruel, so addictive.
Newest patch is live I think, I can teleport between checkpoints now
Yeah, its crazy, im the kind of guy who when a new league came out in PoE1, id make one character, play it til end game, do maps and stuff for a bit, then wait til next league, which then id make a new character. With PoE2, ive already made 3 different characters and gone gone through the campaign with one character, and just about done with a second one. Lol. Getting ready to think about anither build to try.
Wow. It took them two weeks to bandaid an issue they decided to create?
Man, what a company. In before 3x Energy Shield CI Acrobatics, Max Block, Max Evasion, no Passive Nodes only Travel Nodes because Jewel Abuse... Oh. Oh, wait., These are issue that existed OVER A DECADE AGO, AND WERE RE-CREATED TO RE-IMPLEMENT FIXES TO THE PROBLEM THEY RE-CREATED. Surely not a fundamental design flaw that goes all the way down to every single Developer working on the game not having a clue. Edit: Oh, but they added Checkpoint teleporting! OLMFG OMG WOW I CAN'T BELIEVE IT, GGG ARE LITERAL ANGELS.
That teleport between checkpoints was so great. I was excited to discover that
dude I nolifed this game so hard and I can't stop, im worried I gonna get burned out before it even releases xD
about to hit 100 hrs ~
from what I've experienced, people not familiar with POE1 are loving the crap out of POE2 and really dig it. The people most unhappy with it are POE1 andies. I think that's a good thing honestly. It means GGG hit a new niche. The people who want to press one button and easily win can go back to POE1 when the new league comes out
Yeah, I feel like the main-complaint about PoE 2 is that it's not PoE 1, lmao.
slight problem is that those new "im loving it" players are from crowd of "play once and dump" too ... PoE1 players are critical because they know the game has serious issues that will make it very hard to sustain long term ... yknow like PoE1 ...
@@profanemagic5671yeah, it's pretty pathetic, honestly. I love how they put it as constructive criticism when in actuality They're just crapping on it for not being mobile game adjusted as poe1.
@@Asghaadwhere do you get that fact from? Your feelings? Stop, dude.
That's a red herring. The reason it seems like "PoE1 Andies" are the only ones hating on the game is because for the most part they're the only ones who have reached mid-late game maps. PoE2 gets a /lot/ less fun once you start getting one-shot and there's nothing more you can do with your build to prevent it from happening. Your opinion of the game will more than likely degrade once you hit tier 10+ maps and you start burning a real amount of currency to solve a problem most builds won't actually be able to fix due to balance issues.
For anyone that has played Nintendo or Suoer Nintendo every game was hard, some were nearly impossible to beat except for a select few who put in a ridiculous amount of time. Ninja Gaiden, the original Metal Gear, and many others were very difficult and this is before YT videos showing you how to beat bosses or certain hard areas or stages. Player guides were rare or non existent and the only real aid was Nintendo Power magazine or the tip line.
Oh, come on. There were plenty of ways to find walkthroughs. Also, there was internet back then but it was dial up.
@@banhammer3904 Nintendo Hard was an actual comment shared amongst gamers, it somehow spread without forums, without youtubers, and generally speaking little interaction between players and developers
Make the maps tighter with less dead ends and we are cookin'.
That and a little bit more zoom out, it doesn't feel good to die to an ability where the cue is off screen. But damn, I like the difficulty. I've been playing as blind as possible and haven't mathed anything out yet, but just respec'ing a few times and feeling the impact is amazing.
Edit: only just made it to Act 2, been going pretty slow and loving it.
GGG already did, cap reduction for rest after cruel is inc to 12% and chaos doesn't hurt that much anymore including environment dmg.
Too much zoom out would just make being a coward too optimal. It already is optimal to stand back and shoot/minion everything, I can at least respect forcing us to roll into the monsters to keep an eye on them. Some boss attacks are already so large that the only way to avoid them is to stay close and roll around/through them to get behind.
the map design has to be my least favorite thing about poe and poe 2, wayyyy tooo much time is wasted on making sure i cleared out each corner of the map.
I'm assuming the maps are that way to allow for more additions in future (remember it is EA).
But also keep in mind for instances the maps are randomly generated. I guess that's the trade off.
I can never go back to Diablo 4 ever since I played path of exile 2
And I was never on D4 to begin with..it's a cheap representation od Diablo genre. Diablo 3 has a far superior campaign and player experience. D4 was DOA,..the beta was bland, the character builds are too predictable, even to current time
tbh in poe2s current state, D4 is comparable. especially with d4 having actual crafting.
Problem is if GGG spends any amount of time listening to the playerbase and fixing PoE2s problems, then it becomes exponentially better extremely quickly.
But GGG is infamous for not listening on the most important points. So we'll see.
That thumbnail is perfect Asmonbait.
This video made me realize the +4 to all spells staff I’ve had sitting in my stash might be something I should look into using to improve my build.
Ya I got a level 6 bow that had +3 to skills that thing got me all the way to level 30 before the damage fell off.
i dont play these games but i am so happy for all of the poe/arpg fans. love seeing the hype and excitement
I had a streamer moment, when I accidentally suicided after finally killing the act 2 boss because my chaos abilities take 3% of my life on cast (out of flasks, no hp). For context, I spent a couple of evenings trying to fix my build (chalupa monk) and grind for lightening resist. Chaos was great for map, but bad for bossing until I swapped to chaos bow, the 50% resist also helped.
making bosses easier is a bad idea, cruel is easier because you become much stronger, make the whole game easy wouldn't solve anything
and mostly people love when it is harder ! it's a game based on challenge also !
Yes starting in act 3 I started phasing bosses with monk and the bell skill. While I guess it feels good I would prefer having to engage with mechanics (as longs as other builds have too as well 😂)
Pretty sure he's saying make the bosses at the beginning easier and the bosses at the end harder
I personally like the early game challenge since it really forces you to learn the mechanics, and starts me in a spot that's not boring. In general though, the early game probably is a bit to punishing since player power is so low. I think like a 10-15% increase in early player power would be good until you start getting some skill synergies by like level 17.
they dont need to make the game easier, they need to make acquiring/creating your own good gear reasonable. and NOT GAMBLING.
This game will continue growing. Its incredible! Have two characters to Maps, one lvl 90 Im running mainly with juicy t15 maps. Loving the pace! Once you get some movement speed boots it makes the strafing so buttery. So much content for early access I have 0 complaints. Now I should create a melee character with the ToS changes coming for the honour system haha
Yeah..
So as of the moment of writing this comment
POE2 :
Total viewers : 136K
Top streamer : 18.5K
D4 :

Thanks for posting this. Super interesting 🔥
the world is healing. acti blizz has abused its games/genres long enough. alternate QUALITY options can and will replace them over time if they dont figure out what they need to do.
Playing PoE 2 SSF is really rough. When you only use your currency to craft it really brings to the forefront how the drops are undertuned when you can't just trade to win without even making effort.
yeah, poorly designed item system + the only way to possibly get decent gear is literally gambling whether it be with gamble currency or at the gamble vendor. Its all gambling.
It's more that there isn't a more developed crafting system you can manipulate.
Atm you just pray to rng Gods
@Slanderbot just like poe1.
Not surprised.
Yes I'm aware poe1 has more ways to direct the RNG but its still gambling except for bench crafting.
The vendors also absolutely do not update their wares every level. I'm lucky to get new items on them every 2 or 3 levels. Which is problematic when most of the gear I currently use was bases off the vendors with 2 stats I like that I regaled, passed the check, and slammed with exalts.
Maybe it will get better when they introduce 'Crafting Bench League' in 5 years along with this crazy new set of orbs called 'Orb of Alteration' and 'Orb of Scouring'.
The talk about crafting mattering and items mattering is a load of crap when it just forces you to the trade meta even more.
It was such an amazing day , haven't felt this hyped in 15 years over a game.
PoE2 still needs defensive gems like Molten Shell, Immortal Call and Steel Skin, especially early game
I agree with that the fact that you can block with a shield would make those abilities that much better tbh and definitely need more defensive abilities elemental resistance buff would be nice too
It feels so limited being able to only choose from a few support gems. Even in the old game once you hit level 20 you had access to a bunch you could swap around.
Does melee even have Fortify?
@Powermongur pretty sure it doesn't as far as i know with warrior but im not going for straight physical damage either
I agree, defensive skills are lacking. I feel like it's kind of intentional, but it's not how I would prefer it.
I can wholeheartedly sat I didn't enjoy 99% of my time with the game. It just felt like "hold this button until enemy die, occasionally dodge-rolling, and spamming heals when hit." Loot felt meh. A literal grind was my experience with it.
😢 I don't know why I was expecting to like it, but at least now I know I don't like this precise type of loot-grind-cycle game.
If it's any consideration, keep in mind that the genius of PoE1 was the way they LAYERED the loot-grind cycle with various systems that stacked and interacted. Sort of how the devs of Halo said their philosophy was to create 30 seconds of fun, and then find ways to repeat that 30 seconds throughout the game over and over. With PoE, they took the loot-grind element and found ways to layer it into the game in different, meta-interactive ways. PoE2 launched in Early Access with some of this layering, but not all. If it's feeling a bit sparse for you now, consider going back to it on full release once they get everything in place, or maybe consider trying PoE1 for an idea of how that layering looks after over a decade of development. You might just find you in fact do enjoy it when the execution is all in place.
yeah, as someone who has played poe for about 9 years, its extremely unfortunate that they made it too similar to PoE1.
hopefully they fix it. PoE2 needs to be VERY SSF friendly if not literally designed around SSF if they expect to keep these new players and casual players.
Maybe they'll fix it, with GGGs track record though... who knows, theyre not known for making good decisions on a regular basis.
check in occasionally, see if they fixed the game. If not. Cant say im surprised.
I know i'll get hate for this, but after buying POE i got bored and ended up buying vessel of hatred, Im genuinly having more fun so far on D4, but then again im not even lvl 40 on both games.
I've been looking forward to poe2 for a while but I'm holding off until it is fully released. I don't really like the idea of early access I'd rather wait for the full experience.
good idea, its a shit show right now
They have been cooking with the patch notes already, this game is gonna evolve into something spectacular. Just like how PoE1 evolved.
been playing poe1 for 9 years.
still waiting for the spectacular to show itself.
To be honest, PoE is clearly a better franchise than Diablo currently is, but why is baldie looking at Steam numbers comparing them when it's more than clearly that 80-90% of D4 players play via Battlenet and those numbers doesn't add up to the Steam numbers, drama effect? Nice one baldy.
Why would anyone play through steam unless it's mandatory? I play through poe2 launcher not through steam.
Because I don't want dozens of launcher
Yeah but 375 viewers on twitch rn though
@@Powermongur Poe is doing better on twitch than Diablo, that's a fact, but it's mid season and debut for poe2, during season 7 debut on Diablo it will be in reverse, but overall on average, Poe is doing better.
I love the game never played any type of Souls or Poe style game before and i'm in my late 50's.
This game though feels right (as for the difficulty yep it's tough)but i don't think it should be made easier.
If a tank can't tank at least 3 1shot attacks from the strongest boss then it's a shitty tank.
No class can't tank shit, the game is "Dodge or die" there is no tanking and putting points in any defensive stats is a pure waste.
@TwiztedHarlequin And that's making my point wrong how?
Anyone who played any RPG with the option of playing as a warrior, paladin, barbarian, etc. knows that the point of playing them is being able to soak up the damage and use it to dish out their own. Be that through the revenge, rage, shield, or similar systems.
If you can't do that then what's the point of using a character that always has to be too close to the enemy if the class doesn't have any specific mechanics that would incentives you to do so?
If every class can dodge with the same mechanic and dies with one hit regardless of defensive options then you will always be punished for picking a class that is forced to get into the position where the risk of getting hit is highest.
@@sebagab9795 At this moment there is no tank in POE2 lol, but seriously it is like you said. I played warrior and from his passive tree I don't see anything that could made me tanky apart from increase armor which only reduces physical dmg but the most dangerous dmgs are elemental so it kinda pointless, even life maximum % is only in second class and only 15%. Anyway, please remember that the game is still in early access and I think devs already knew about how suffering melee class are having, I think they will buff melee class somehow, we gotta wait

5:10 Asmon when you look at that just think how many players on console. I play on PS5 and tons of people from my friend list plays PoE 2.
I finally got into cruel 2 nights ago and last night I got to the act 1 boss and my melee monk destroyed him in about 8 secs. Cruel is harder it's just everyone's build is coming together when you hit cruel so it feels easier than it is.
That was the hardest part about the govener in act 1. I didn't have shit, iv never played an arpg I wasted gems trying different skills. By the time I was on act 2 it was easier despite it being hard just because I actually had the tools to do the job.
@mryellow6918 yeah I think that's fine. It also says the tone for the rest of the game
5:03 That's just steam though, i play on ps5
A lot of console players are joining in on the fun. Good to see!
This game feels as close to D2 as anything over the last 20+ years. I don't know anything about end game and I probably won't for a long time but it's just a solid experience.
I really wish D4 was like 50% more like POE2.
I wouldn't call it a hard game specifically but it does feel like a much older game in that it's punishing if you're not fully engaged. POE2 is asking for your full attention and if you give it then you'll have a great time.
People's main complaint with the endgame is that "It's not PoE 1 endgame"
Don't listen to any of it, the end-game is super fun.
People just can't get over the fact that you lose your map when you die.

DM deservers to the attention, awesome content creator.
Sorry, but the truth is your terrible warrior build misinformed many, many people about the warrior class. Warrior is in fact totally viable and good if you spec into any degree of skill synergy whatsoever, which you didn't by just spamming totems and the basic attack. You weren't building up enemy stun meters and then getting heavy stuns with boneshatter. I just hope the devs don't overbuff warrior to silly territory now because your build was so bad and you spread the meme that warrior is underpowered. Love ya, Asmon, but that was a really poor showing.
I feel like the bosses are weirdly balanced. They feel more like a dps skill check. They aren't hard technically. Some side bosses are impossible (lava boss in act 3) but the campaign bosses with the same level and gear are super easy.
Normies found the game. The player numbers aren't going to drop anytime soon.
they will once all of them realize GGG lied to them and the game isnt friendly to new players or casuals lol
Never played POE but looking forward to trying this out when it hits full release. Appreciate all you guys play testing.
Monk is the only real melee option, they make up for the natural "melee def weakness" by just CCIng everything they touch lmfao.
Melee gemling works too
I had zero issues through the entire game with warrior. I played both shout and shatter
Big Bell go Big Bonk
define real when warriors are casually doing full screen explosions in mapping and one tapping bosses doing over 5-10million in a single hammer of the gods.
18:20 it's the crowd control too. If you can stun lock a Soulslike boss like you freeze a POE boss, you completely trivialize them

Bro you didn't even watch the video, how do you know it's good?
@@Rando-c1lI’m saying as a whole I like his content and he’s doing a good job
Wait this is 10min ago
Is this game really going to change very much when it is considered Fully Released? Like, this feels like a fully fleshed out game I can't imagine anything drastically different being done, why is it called Early Access?
Because they're still missing over a hundred bosses, three acts, a bunch of classes and ascendencies, etc. It's early access, which means just think of how much we've got coming!
You'll be surprised to know this is just about half the content they planned for the game so far! by full release you'll have 3 more acts and double or more content added to the game by then :)
Who wants to play D4 when there’s POE2 😂
One thing that put me off is that the first initial part of the game, up until the first town, it just is the same as the poe1. You arrive on a beach, there is one dead/close to dying person, gets attacked, dies, we kill the mob, go through the map, kill the boss next to the town camp, get in the camp.
it's the same fucking thing. 10 years and they couldn't change the beginning?
Probably a lot more then 500k because console player base is bigger
Is it?
@@mryellow6918 For 99% of games, it is MUCH bigger. (I've seen articles in the past saying something like 4 to 5 times more console players on most games, than PC)
For something like POE, I have doubts though
I am glad you got to that point at least. I gave up the game the
4th time I had to restart the trials because I would run very low on honor by the time I reached the last stage. The third time was my best run, but then I town portalled before the boss, which would bug me out from continuing.
So, same feeling, waste of my time, made me not bothering to try again. I have no problem dying 100 times in the same boss until I beat, but I refuse to repeatedly grind my way to a point that will have me set back for 3 or more times.
Few things feel less satisfying than getting killed by a monster watching something cool drop and knowing that you both won't be able to pick up the cool item nor will you be able to try to exact revenge on the monster because the monsters are reset when you die. I don't know whoever thought these systems would work but they probably don't f****** understand how good POE one was
I have mixed feelings on it. I like that it prevents Zerg rushing until you win, because that's kind of lame. I did that in POE1 and D2 a lot, it's nice in the moment but trivializes the game long term. I do think they really need to make the balance less favored toward one shots though. The latest patch helps a lot, but I feel like it needs more.
As I grow older, I realize the selling point is the cinematic trailer. The other 99% is hidden grinds. Have you asked why do we need to start from level 1 at everything, including our weapons? I mean, aren't we the chosen one?
If you pay close attention to the smallest details like the inventory, the mobs, and the boss from those 3 games (Poe2, D4, LE), they're almost identical. The only difference is every boss in Poe2 has become a damaged sponge that hits hard.
I just bought it and it’s downloading now. IM SO EXCITED 🎉
I kinda like that poe 2 isnt going to replace 1. Season comes out for poe, we blast it for a couple of months on a zoomy build complete everything then the poe 2 new season starts, we move over for a different challenge.
But did it truly change his life?
yes.
What really resonates with me, is the quick fixes and gameplay updates. A gaming company that actually Cares and wamts to Do a good job, rather than status quo.
To be fair, Poe launch issues were like world of warcraft launch issues 20 years ago.
"2 hours delay" is copium.
was there launch issues? it was the best launch of any online service game in history. launch issues for 2 hrs then no ques and no server problems again the entire rest of the week.
''Suffering from success''
cruel is easier for certain builds for sure the problem is balance ruins some classes for early game and some for mid and some fall off late

Damm 😊
i feel bad for people like you.
@@Rando-c1lwhy I just lucky to being the first
Damn. 2nd by 23 seconds.
@bddb9826 no one cares....you want a gold star?
When I 1st played Mercenary, Honestly It was pretty hard. Died 7x in last boss in Act 1, died in Kobold in Act 2 beginning boss and many more. As I progress into the game, I became experienced on what to do like strategically place my character where it can have an advantage, make use of the dodge and strengthen my weapon and building as a grenadier makes my game SUUUUUUPER easy. I brushed through the game like it was nothing. That is why I enjoyed my 1st day of playing POE2 and will enjoy it for months to come.
I got to be real. I didn't like poe1 at all. I fell into the hype of poe2, and I like it even less. POE just isn't a game brand for casuals. Sometimes it starts to feel like gamers are forcing people to try to enjoy experiences they don't like because they do, rather than just acknowledging that there's a lot of different gamers and what's looks like gold for some, looks like fools gold for others.
You say that but your not a casual as your here watching a TH-cam reaction vid delving into the comments
I didn’t like poe1 much cause the grind seemed long and I could just go look at what could become. This one tho it’s getting colder out and needed a grindy game. Haven’t checked people’s build and playing blindly has been fun for me. Can’t say I’ll be playing daily when it drops and doing seasons but it should get me through winter
They're paid or given incentives to push someone else's narrative upon potential customers. Streamers =Influencers. Influencers = Puppets
I think people see the hype for a game and get invested themselves before learning exactly what kind of game it is. How many people got hyped up for Elden ring having never played a souls Bourne game before and then quitting after dying to the tree sentinel 6 times in a row? Same sort of scenario here, if you know what you’re getting into it’s a true masterpiece of balance between challenge and progression and skill. If you’re not a person who derives satisfaction from overcoming challenges in video games then poe 1 or 2 isn’t for you but Diablo 4 probably is because the barrier to entry is so low. And I think more casual arpgs have their place because some players once they have completed all the things they want in Diablo they can transition to Poe for a more significant challenge.
Doing research and educating oneself on what the product you’re going to interact with is can be a really good way to prevent wasted time and money on something that isn’t for that person.
@fuzzywinkle8310 I'm trying to understand why people do like this game on my lunch break. I play games. But I'm not like even remotely able to have the time it takes to enjoy a game like this. Also, that's not really what I mean by casual gamer. I mean I like games that are casual and easy to digest. POE has made a brand around being not that. It's pretty clear made for people who like lots of numbers and percent values and gear configurations and well, deep dive shit.
I’ve never played POE 1 and never played any Diablo game. I am on PS5. I started POE 2 as a witch on day 1 at launch and it’s been the easy breezy. Sure, I’ve died a few times but it’s been my own fault. I am still in act 1 (had other things going on). About to take on what I assume is the final boss of the act. Looking back, I wish I would have streamed it because man, I did not have any of the struggles I’m seeing in these clips.
wait until youre finished the campaign.
Act 1 makes the game seem amazingly well crafted and designed. It starts to fall apart very quickly the more you progress through the campaign.
Compilation of fake enthusiasm.
That’s what I’m thinking. They’re glazing some outdated ass game. It’s almost like, they make money from it…
Sure there’s a million people across platform and pc faking it yah
@@L0STV1K1NG96outdated? You sound crazy asf
@@L0STV1K1NG96 please tell me you would call games like cod or most fps games outdated too because the gameplay in those have been the same for legit like 15 years now. So many gaming genres have not changed just refined over time and this is one of them it is far from outdated
Outdated lmao @@L0STV1K1NG96
6:33 Asmongold: "That, gentlemen, is what happens when you have a live service game that you develop in the right direction for over 10 years."
6:42 Also Asmongold: "It's true. He's right. He's so right."
The infinite content loop, I can't 😂
That's our boy, lol. It will never not be funny seeing Asmon true-ing himself.
The devs literally said before launch that the cruel acts would be easier because of gearing. They wanter focus on the first 3 acts experience, and endgame.
I still pref last epoch for now but that's like a few points above. Path of exile 2 still a good game so far. Just want a few things like auto targeting to be optional so if I want to target a destroyable summon it doesn't instead target a nearby enemy.
Respec needs to be entirely free for campaign, it being costly doesn't encourage trying things it encourages me to just use what's proven and not waste my time trying something that might look interesting but I don't know if it'll work.
Lastly on full release we need a way to skip campaign with teleport points plus quest unlocks given if we finished it once post-release for future characters and seasons. Playing it optionally is fine, having to replay it several upon several time for a different character is going to grow annoying. Simply for those who want to replay the campaign per season and per character main class give them a free cosmetic for a total of 12 free cosmetics per season since there's 12 base classes.
Idk what you mean with melee being bad. I went warrior and had a blast. Just made the obvious choice of damage, fire AoE and overkill explosion. Everything has died in first go up until middle Act 3. Was not hard, at all. Jamanra-part got a bit spicy. Not the boss, but the 100 dudes with pikes waiting for you as you cross the planks on the way over. But you just place down a totem and they all die in a second, no problem. Didn't even have to bother properly figure out the gearing system. I've played through Act 1 and partially Act 2 on Witch, Sorcerer and Ranger too. And they are all fun aswell, but warrior is just way more fun. Especially once you get leap and some proper fire damage on your weapons.
Funniest thing here was the steamdb curve, player count went up a little with some players who probably felt it was too punishing and went to Diablo IV for a bit, but then realized, no.
I wonder if the full release of the game will be as big a deal as the early access release.
As an poe1 early access player, its warms my heart to see how far GGG and poe has come in the last 11 years.
I went the opposite route than Asmongold. Started with minion build than changed to melee and had a better time facetanking bosses by raising a shield than trying to run circles around a boss outside of the screen.
20:08 - Cringy "Mr Beast" smile 😁
for me 1st and 2nd act was easy.. 3rd was hardest. im playn Monk
The marketing campaign was by far the best in decades. We used to get hype from game awards, now they suck. before that we learned about upcoming games from game mags. NOw you simply target your audience through social media. The other companies could learn from this. Speak to your audience and they listen.
Build it and they will come.
The game awards this year was good what do you mean
@@Jbswe They were okay, they are in damage control mode. You have your opinion, the rest of the world has theirs.
@@fuzzylumpkins6034 the Elden ring annoucement blew my mind when I saw it and the rest was definitely alright without the Elden ring announcement I would be right there with you and probably call it mid
First 5 minutes is Asmond surprised a game on release day took all the viewers from a certain genre.
There has been many comments on difficulty of melee combat. I recently made my first YT video displaying warrior is actually pretty strong. Since I was using only starting club bosses took a bit longer to kill but i did not feel threathened by anything at any point in first act. In fact i was running through floor and aggroing packs of mobs to kill them with one swing and reap half a level xp per pack. If you find this interesting feel free to watch Path of Exile 2 HC- Warrior gameplay - Act 1 cleared with starting club/without equipping body armor and leave like/dislike/comment based on your experience. Video is displaying the end of first act, descend through manor, fight with candlemass and count Geonor.
Missed the boat on PoE1, even with the beta release and all the opinions about "to hard", I'm actually enjoying it really much. I struggled with a lot of bosses but at the end I was able to kill them all. This game gives me almost the same feeling as elden ring.
Act 2 boss I needed like 2-3 tries because I could not get upgrades or enough currency to make a better weapon the entire time so by the end I felt the power loss. Still managed to beat him with some more better dodges. Kept me on my toes that guy
Game is great. Still needs some work, especially on QoL features, but it's already a blast.
I think a lot of casuals will get filtered out over time, but the core ARPG fan base will be sticking with this for quite a while.
try warrior again if you think the 3rd act bosses are easier than the act 1 and 2 ones. one of the bosses flys around the arena almost the entire fight. many of them have PBAOE attacks or leave ground effects that they stand in so you cant even attack them in melee without killing yourself.
Maybe controversial, but, as a newbie, seeing the melee stream was much more fun and interactive than the mage one. With the later, different maps and bosses lost all value
I dont understand why so many people are complaining this early on in the 6 month long EARLY access. They already made changes less than a month later and they will continue that trend and drip in more content. They did the exact same thing with PoE1 and everything was fine. In my honest opinion they are making the first of a the new next gen ARPG and will come out with a PoE3 in less than a decade later.
"They showed me dying on the first boss because warrior sucks." LoL. I have a str stack bloodmage and at that point i had a witch with a twohanded mace and a basic attack and it wasnt that hard. Some people are doing something wrong. Just check his attacks, stay close and dodge in the last second..
I had to reply the beginning to notice the thumbnail issue... that is indeed a "why that 1?!" Moment XD. Like- when did you even make that face XD
