@@slowridertv just an Update: got rid of my 04 Heritage and got a Honda Fury! I should have done that much earlier! But being honest. The whole woke Harley thing and the Harley community here in Germany made it easy say: good bye!
Scott-SlowRider, thanks so much for showing us how to "set" & "undo" our 5 digit fob code! I didn't know how that was suppose to be done. When I get my Harley-Davidson, be it from the dealer ,or, a private party. I'll ask the dealership for the printout of the "how to" instructions. Smart move to go slow and thorough in the steps so we get it right. Doug🏍️😇😁👍
All new touring Harley PINS are factory set to 31313 (or maybe 13131) so when you take delivery be sure to change the PIN otherwise somebody could ride off with your Harley. Also, never leave your fob with your Harley overnight or longer (even when secured) because the security system will drain the fob battery. Rsmf.
@@bryancardenas-qs4ig Yes, the dealer might have changed it to 1111 or0000 (for all new touring models) using the same PIN for all of fhem, that's why you need to change thi PIN.
@@bryancardenas-qs4ig You can ask the dealership where you bought it, then you can change it to what ever you like. Ryan Urlacher ( and others) has a video on how to change your PIN. Happy travels.
I have a 883 sportster with fob siren etc, i want to get rid of it all, just turn ignition on and off, been told dynatech sells modules i can just connect what you all think?
Was wondering where you got the print out of that procedure. Would like to have a copy. I just bought a salvage 2016 Heritage Softail Classic to fix up.

I just bought a 2016 Fatboy from a dealer (but not a Harley Davidson Dealer) They gave me two barrel keys but I didn’t think about the security system and know all bikes don’t have it but looked up the VIN and it shows my bike did come with a security system so how am I able to start the bike without the fob? Can I purchase a new fob from a Harley Davidson Dealer? I don’t want to go on a road trip and have trouble with this. It’s a really nice bike but a problem like that would piss me off so want to make sure it’s not a future issue.
My problem is latly my batt FOB battery been going dead every 2 weeks I've cleaned the circuit board, I cant go to harley dealer because Im in Mexico and nearest dealer is 10hrs away besides who wamts to ride in Mexican big city traffic
The only advice I can think of is don't store your fob within range of the bike when not in use. And use good quality batteries. The cheap batteries I bought don't last anywhere near as long as something like Energizer or Duracell.
@@TheSgbarter thanx for getting back to me so fast, yes I started doing that, separate the FOB when not in use, Also I now carry a spare, I would actually love to just disconect the whole system but that aint gona happend, I'll wind up with a boat anchor,

or you can just not purchase the system all together esp if you're going to keep the bike garaged etc,now if its left outside then id take my chances with it and change the FOB's battery every year to be sure they can be bought at most drug stores.
Lol. I have a Harley with NO actual ignition key. Its only the fob and the fork lock. I have yet to see one single video of anyone with a harley thats 2022 and up talking about this fob situation. I got the bike from a friend who never rode it 1 mile its a brand new bike he let sit for almost 2 years....
Thanks for the instructions! Being honest, I wish I still had my Evolution Softail. Life was much easier!
I know what you mean. Definitely something to be said for simpler and easier to use.

You don't need to know the existing PIN to set a new one if you have the fob

Not working on my 2009 street glide
Thanks mate much appreciated information since I just inherited my dad's Harley softtail standard, much appreciated mate
Thank you, helpful information.
What if you changed the bike battery out or take it out for winter. Well you have to do the code allover again
Pretty sure it remembers the code. Good question!

Before checking with a dealer, I'd try a private locksmith. They can often sell and program remotes for cars.
There is no sound for the horn when you moving the bike without the fob ?
The alarm/siren was available as an add-on option. Without that add-on it just flashes the lights.
Absolutely perfect thank you
How many numbers in the pin?
Pretty sure it is 5 digits
Tks answered my question when the dealership couldn’t
Thank you so much.

They had a relay you could plug into the relay port on Daynas that made it so you didn’t need it,

useless without a siren...
unless you just want the keyless fonction
Hi scott
Next you need an app to start it 😅
Harleys come with a wallet card (back of the manual) with directions and a place to write in your pin.
