    I put in a new battery and despite all other efforts, she would not start. I stumbled on your website and discovered this antenna...not only did I have it turned the wrong direction, it was not connected to the mystery dangling cable!! Connected the antenna after configuring it the right way and assuring it was not damaged and....she fired up! THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!!!

    Great info, thanks. I'm having that issue now. I just installed a battery jumper pigtail on my 2023 Street Bob a couple weeks ago on the battery underneath the seat and now I don't remember seeing that Key Fob antenna. Starting issue started just yesterday. Must be lost somewhere in that mess under the seat. I will check it out.

      @@mikeallen3518 If you have a service manual or maybe Google the location. I would think it would be under the seat but you never know. All models are not the same. Thanks for watching and commenting ✌️

      @@SinisterClutch Yes, its under the seat, with all the other clutter. I just don't remember seeing it after I attached the battery jump pigtail to the battery and replaced everything is what I intended to say. But, I DID NOT know it was a Key Fob Antenna until watching your video. I have a 2012 Street Glide at home in the US and never knew what it was until now. Did not know about the pin code either until I bought the 2023 Street Bob last year here in South Korea where I work. And then only after getting bored in my apartment and reading through the owners manual and then watching some YT videos about pin codes. Thats when I realized, "Holy S@#t" this means my 2012 Street Glide has a pin code too. So when I went home on leave last year back to the states I changed it on my Street Glide as well. Thanks again, you taught me a lot, Street Bob is starting up fine now, I believe it was just that I didn't synch the FOB with the antenna after installing a new Fob battery.

    this man dove right into explaining all this which everyone should appreciate,on the other hand this also tells me that maybe the 'smart' security system(SSS) is not worth the what-ifs down the road and if someone with daily living, simply forgets about the fobs battery-change and the battery acts up away from home etc.in other words it seems much easier to simply turn a key and ride vs worrying about a security system esp if your bike is garaged etc,if its left outside then i would have a basic alarm where "I" arm/disarm it at "MY" choosing vs the bike.to end it,i think id pass on this security system even if it was offered to me for free,one less thing to worry about while riding etc.

      Wait 1 minute. You're basically telling me that if you buy the $17 security antenna and if you already got key fobs as long as you enter in that pin you could save yourself a bunch of headache from paying them three $400 to install this simple product that may have taken you only 25 minutes and possibly 20 bucks?

    First, your bike is gorgeous. Thanks for this informative video. You performed an operation I was going to have the Harley dealer do on my 2022 tri glide but now I'm wondering if I can do it myself. I traded my 2017 Ultra Limited in for the tri glide and even though I had two fobs for the Ultra they only required one so I kept the second one. My new trike only came with one fob and I am planning to have the second fob from the Ultra mapped to the trike. In you video you map two fobs to the new antenna and I was wondering if I could do the same thing and map the old Ultra fob to the trike. Oh, and I changed my security code which the dealer never told me and it was a string of the same 5 numbers.

    • @SinisterClutch
      @SinisterClutch  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The problem with that is each key fob has a 24 digit number used to program it to a bike. So your Ultra key fob is not programmed to the Tri Glide. That’s something that will need to be done at the dealership. In my case both my key fobs were already programmed. I just synced my fobs to the security antenna. Hope this helps and take care✌️

    I'm having an issue. with mine. The bike isn't picking up my FOB. But the code promp isn't coming up at all either. So , I'm not able to bypass. It's been hit or miss for a couple of months. sometimes it works fine and other times it does it after I turn the main switch off and back on. Now it's not working at all. My gut is telling me , maybe the main switch. Anyone have an idea ???

      No a New Key Fob will have to be programmed. Each fob has a code that allows it to be married to the bike. An AVDI tool is used to do the programming. You’ll have to take it to a dealership. I think you can buy the tool but it will be cheaper to take it to the dealership. Hope this helps✌️

      @@SinisterClutch Ive tried resetting the PIN but all instructions say 'With correct Key fob'..
      But I am thinking the bike is not recognizing, either key fob.
      I've owned this 2011 electraglide for three years.
      It went into security shut down yesterday. I assumed key fob battery.
      I changed batteries in both key fobs, as well as check all connections to my new main battery, which I also tested.
      The fact that BOTH key fobs don't work, is leading me to think 'antenna'.
      I've tried to reset code, as well as the bypass alarm protocols.
      If I don't know the PIN but buy a new antenna, am I wasting my time?.

    • @SinisterClutch
      @SinisterClutch  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@paultappenden4337 Ok so the key fob needs to be married to the bike with a 24 digit number that has to be programmed. Each key fob has a unique number. That will have to be done at a dealership unless you have the diagnostic tool. It is possible it is the security antenna. Are you getting diagnostic codes?

      @@SinisterClutch like an idiot, I didn't know I could get diagnostic codes off the speedometer. I've been watching TH-cam, and will be checking for diagnostic codes off to work.

      (Is that a dumb question?)

    • @SinisterClutch
      @SinisterClutch  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@paultappenden4337 No worries I’m happy to help. If the fobs have been working for a while then say all of a sudden asked for a pin then it could be the batteries which sounds like you changed. So with new batteries and still asking for a pin then it’s likely the security antenna.
