The OM6 is great too I’ve been using is for quite some time before I went for the flow. There are just some features on the flow that I really like that makes it more convenient to shoot :)

Hi Benett, thanks for the review! can you give me the tip to create spin shot using Insta360 Flow? The FPV mode with wheel lets me rotate it, but I can't lock the object so I can't get cinematic footage

Hi! Thanks for the awesome video once again. Quick question: I am in the setup mode and at the 360 app; however, unlike my Zhiyun and previous gimbals, this app will not work unless I give permission to my ENTIRE photo album. Am I the only one that doesn't want anyone and everyone thumbing through whatever they want?

I always enjoyed my OM4 and found little advantage in the newer DJI models. It seemed to me that they were always taking away something to add a new feature such as larger battery in exchange for a selfie stick. I've ordered the 360 flow and look forward to trying out all its features.
I’m happy Insta360 made a gimbal that also functions as a power bank because I do shoot a lot on my iPhone 14 Pro and also use it for other stuff. I used the OM4 for quite a long time because of the power bank feature and like you said, it’s unfortunate they removed it afterwards.
When using a third party lens, did you have to switch to manual? My lens would appear in the shot when filming unless in manual mode, which then disables deep track

I've used the OM4 quite a bit.
Then switched on to the Zhiyun Smooth 5S, which I didn't like much because of its size and manual mounting/balancing technique.
Now I'm thinking of trying out the Insta360 Flow

Interested in the 360 part, which could make it a really attractive product, but Mike from 360 Vroomers indicates the following:
"It sounds exciting in concept but the stitching is not good. And it’s only 4096 x 2048. You can save the photos to use in PTGui, but if you do that, I think you might as well shoot with a DSLR. So the 360 pano feature is just for fun or as a gimmick."
If this is really the case, it's a pity...
What are your thoughts on the subject?
Is it possible to confirm with a thorough test on this aspect?
Hello. Thanks for the review. My lenovo Y70 phone supports shooting in 8k and 4k 60 frames, but in the settings in Insta360app the maximum resolution is only 4k30. Why doesn't he see the frame rate at 50 and 8k resolution? Also, I can not choose manual settings for taking photos and videos, shutter speed, ISO. I also tried another phone, there is no way to use manual shooting settings.

You are welcome, no unfortunately not. Only the native app as of right now supports cinematic mode.
Does the subject tracking works with the native camera app? (Sony Xperia 1 V)
No you will have to use insta360 app. Or check put the Hohem iSteady m6 where tracking also works with the default camera :)

Take time to practice. If you're new to gimbals like me, there's definitely a learning curve!
One drawback of the Flow is the limited Tilt range. But there's a work around as you mentioned. Extend the selfie stick and hold it out sideways and down. Now lift up and the Rotation axis functions instead of the tilt axis.

My experience is that you must prevent the flow axis from dipping below the horizontal. If you don't, the flow will flip the phone 180° and when you raise it up it will flip again. Sorry I don't have a demo.
Awesome review and this will help me when I get mine today. I will be giving this gimbal some BIG tests with my new Samsung S23 Ultra I know somethings don't work in the app for this phone but what I'm more interested in is the stabilization for the pan follow.

Thank you for the review. When you have 4k60 video mode on, why do you keep your shutter at 1/60 instead of the 1/120 for normal motion blur?
Usually I keep the shutter double the frame rate or higher. Because I was filming in door it reduced the shutter automatically to 1/60, so if I would be filming in low light conditions I would increase the iso.

An external hard drive is my favorite way to save space.
I think the Insta360 Flow does have gesture control but it has to be turned on in Settings

ive had a problem where when im recording through the insta 360 app the display is laggy I doubt it's the phone because outside the app the phone can shoot 8k but when in the insta 360 app I don't know why it seems to be having trouble. but hey it's my first time using it so I may just need to play around with it a bit more.

Blue Ribbon Review of a next gen gimbal. Not much I don’t like about this great design. Do you think you will be primarily using the gimbal’s app or the native iPhone Camera app for most of your work? My only negative comment is the typical one from me. When will gimbal makers start paying attention to the iPhone’s MagSafe as an alternative to their stupid clamp systems?

I have the Vivo X90 Pro. The application Insta360 does not allow you to have all the functions shown in this video. You have to check the compatibility first. If you have an iPhone it's ok at all. Excellent video!!!

@@AshokKumar-wc3lp You have to know that you can record video in the app only in 4K 30fps,you can't use the the wide camera of your phone and some uses of panorama. I personally use the phone camera for video in 4K60fps.

It’s compatible with android as well 👍🏻 you just don’t have the quick launch pop up feature
Can you use this on your scooter can any body answer this question for me pls what to record my self riding
Due to the magnetic clamp I woudn‘t recommend using this gimbal for your scooter as it isn‘t secure enough. I would probably opt for the dji pocket 4

Insta 360 getting themselves into the hand held gimbals huh- they should get ready to say ouch when DJI moves into 360 cameras 😊.
It‘s crazy how they managed to add so many awesome features for their first gimbal. This is great news for us consumers as DJI now has a fierce competitor, forcing them to create better mobile gimbals :)

It true, gimbals keep evolving and are getting better every time. So I pick the one that suits my shooting need. However it is not necessary to upgrade everytime :)

Why aren't any of the youtubers using an android phone in the review? Android users are much more than IOS users, so is it just an assumption that content creators only use IOS?
Also, all 10+ videos that i have watched, till now, that say "Review" are only talking about the features and maybe just a few are actually talking about the limitations. I own the Insta360 one x2 and I was really looking forward to buying the Gimbal but I am really disappointed that it is more compatible with IOS and features are limited with Android.
And also, all these videos are sponsored.
Patiently waiting for actual reviews esp those that are paired with an android phone.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Not sure how compatible it is with Android phones. I just know that the quick launch pop up feature is only available on iPhones. I use an iPhone because I have other apple products and it just makes it easier being in the eco-system. Its always a good idea to wait and look at reviews that are months later, to see what other limitations it has but so for I’ve been very happy with it and has been proven useful for my shooting needs.
Tilt range is limited. That means this gimbal is such a waste of money. If you are a smartphone film maker, you always need the tilt angle unlimited. If the torch mode is not functioning your movements are limited. Standing sideways and taking crane shots are not often practical. It's better to have smooth 5.

This gimbal is obviously targeted to a different customer base. Casual to intermediate users, not "smartphone film makers". Not a waste of money. The target customer will be just fine with it and not carrying around a larger and heavier Smooth 5.
@@JaredDoyle76 for me it's a waste of money. It is my opinion. Those who love this device do have their own choice.
There's a work around. Hold the flow out sideways. Then the rotation axis will enable adequate movement when you lift it up.

This gimble is rubbish. Several features do not work on Android phones and it tends to wobble about when looking at a fixed point. I got my money back, eventually from Insta360.

Hey Benett I recently discovered your channel and have been watching your videos non stop. I love your content, thanks for all you do.
But in terms of this video, I know it is sponsored by Insta360, but there were many things you did not address (flimsiness of the tripod, the inability to take certain up and down shots, the small and uncomfortable handle/grip etc). I saw another review by Samuel Sotiega and yes he is definitely a strong critic, but he makes so many good points. Because you aren't just a simple tiktoker/travel blogger, I consider you an actual photographer/videographer professional first, I am surprised you state that this is your daily driver gimbal (vs the Hohem iSteady M6 or the Zhiyun smooth 5s) especially since those other gimbals have movements and stabilization that is far superior and they can handle many attachments and counterweights etc. I know we all gotta get paid man, but this seems a very very biased review.
