Pro tip:if you mix the heart ring with the crack shot it gives you easy hp and it really helps with all the parry only bosses
Heart ring for those parry bosses doesn’t really make sense because chalice is just better because the bosses were designed around her. Like cuphead against the horse is so much worse than using chalice

The Chaser is better than Crackshot. Both lock onto enemies, but Crackshot had 2 downsides. It's not as accurate as Chaser, and its slow fire rate. So Chaser is better.
More of chasers shots hit, but it still doesn't make up for its low dps for me, although there are a few exceptions

Roundabout does more damage when it returns back from firing and rank every charm that includes every version of the relic.

I would say that twist up is good for skilled players, you can always aim it when you have focus and you can hit multiple shots at a time and with the EX a you just need to time it, it deserves place 5

1. Peashooter is extremely basic but I’ve come to appreciate it for how efficient it is at hitting bosses from far away and it’s rapid fire rate.
For example, I think peashooter is the third best weapon against Grim Matchstick’s final phase, under lobber and charge. All it does is shoot straight and you have full control over the direction it’s going, so there’s no risk of breaking the fireballs.
2. I use to loathe Twist Up, but I grew to like it cause it forces you to get creative. I could name a scenario where it’s useful for every single boss except Baroness and Grim Matchstick. And unlike roundabout, it’s a lot easier to get full use out of it’s EX.
3. Charge EX is broken. One of my favorite things to do in speed running attempts is spam spread, quickly switch and use charge EX, repeat. I tested it on the first phase of phantom express, it ends the phase and many other bosses at a scary fast rate.

But it helped me in so many run and gun levels for one shotting most minions it started to be my go to even in bosses due to its damage

I think that chasers practicality should be better because you can just focus on doing the bosses attacks while still doing damage and the damage amount is good for the type of shot it is, it's main focus is to be used for beginners to get the boss patterns down while wanting g the damage and if the damage to as higher it would be too much damage because most of not all the bullets hit the target so if the damage was higher you could just beat a boss in seconds which defeats the point of the chaser.
I get your point. I definitely would have ranked it more if it wasn't for crackshot. I find that I can usually do more damage with crackshot even without trying to aim at all, but I get why people would still use chaser, especially beginning players like you said
i brought the dlc with the game so i just used crackshot

The only use case for the uncharged shot is to get in a tiny bit of extra damage on a boss you hit with a charged shot before you need to start dodging again. This only matters if you have charge alone. Switching to another shot is fast enough that it'll almost always be more useful.
The only other benefit is quickly taking out enemies in run n' gun levels, but again, just switch weapons.
For some reason I find spread to be an amazing weapon, but I will have to agree with its rank, and it also makes it kind of hard to get a perfect score in most bosses. Another thing that some people may not know is that crackshot parried with heart ring is a broken combo, you can gain hearts while also dealing damage, if you can't parry or think you can't parry the actual projectiles. There is also no risk of accidently losing a life. Overall, great video and I agree with every rank except for charge (mainly because I am bad at using charge). I also want to thank you for making such amazing videos and I hope you continue to make more amazing videos. ❤
Also, the divine relic can be broken is some cases...or bad...you know what I am trying to say right?

Crackshot should be in number 1 because it can adapt to every boss and their phases
I find twist up to be useful in most bosses, it’s situational but you can just aim and it’s really useful for bosses above you and even if it’s on the side of course, just aim, it’s really good on phantom express, chef salt-baker, devil, king dice, root pack, Cagney, and basically every boss beside 2 or 3, buts it’s your opinion and I respect it

My personal favorite is the spread, probably followed by the crackshot. I often have spread as a secondary at least- the damage output really is a good way to kill off bosses quickly. Sometimes the range can be a hinderance, but I feel that you can get close enough to most bosses to deal that damage, so long that you’re strategic and careful about it, so normally it isn’t impossible to tackle.

Thx for giving crack shot a full 10 because it's my main and it's op to me plus it is realy good when you use parry heart ring so u can use ur ex to get health fast if there's like no parrys and it's like chaser but sooooo much better

Tbh i like the crackshots ex only for one reason. When you use the heart ring and you can parry to get hp, you can actually use the parryable ex to get extra hp. I dont use the heart ring that much. But when i do its really helpful to use that ex.

Personal ranking (I'll only include ACTUAL shots)
9: Peashooter:
The most basic weapon in the game, I can never find a good reason to use it against any boss. Decent in the early game but falls off almost instantly after you start getting better shots.
8: Chaser:
The easiest shot to use at the cost of doing the least damage. Useful against more mobile phases as unlike every other shot, Chaser physically cannot miss its target. Usually outclassed as most phases are more stationary, making other shots better in general.
7: Twist-up:
These next few are more situational in my opinion, but not totally useless. Twist-up arcs upwards, making it useful against phases with higher-up hitboxes. Twist-up is particularly effective against the Phantom Express, as almost every phase has a higher-up hitbox, Captain Brineybeard for reasons stated in-video, and Sally Stageplay due to her jumping around and hovering in the air.
6: Converge:
I generally think the higher-DPS shots are usually better and Converge is no exception. Although pretty situational, it's piercing abilities make it great against the frogs, as they're grouped together in the first phase, and the Devil's later phases, particularly the third phase, where Converge helps to take down all the minions that spawn.
5: Lobber:
The second most damaging shot in the game only behind spread, and very much the antithesis of the Twist-up. Lobber has a lower fire rate and arcs downward but does a lot of damage. It's unique behavior and decent ground range makes it effective against phases with hitboxes that are closer to the bottom of the screen. I personally use this quite often, especially against Grim Matchstick. It also has more niche uses against some other bosses due to its unique behaviors and high DPS.
4: Charge:
Call me a freak, but I don't like Charge as much as others seem to. It's very hard to use due to its charge mechanic, and it's DPS is only 3rd best behind lobber and spread. However, it's still a great shot due to its screen-wide range and high overall DPS. It has some great utility against bosses like Captain Brineybeard and Werner Werman. It also has a lot of more niece uses like against Grim Matchstick or the Devil.
3: Spread:
The single highest DPS shot in the game. It can be tough to use against certain bosses, but most of the time, there's at least one phase where Spread can be very powerful. Spread's strength comes of course from its insane firepower, which comes at the cost of a pitiful range. It's very useful against more stationary bosses like the Devil, the Root Pack, and Rumor Honeybottoms, but ultimately, it falls short against more mobile phases.
2: Crackshot:
This thing is nuts. Up close, it has the DPS of LOBBER, but from afar, it practically homes in at the cost of damage. Even then, it STILL does more damage than chaser. Its EX is busted when paired with Heart ring, and it literally cheats against the ENITRE DLC.
1: Roundabout:
Yeah, was there EVER any competition? And this is coming from a former skeptic as well! Roundabout does a high amount of damage, not as high as the higher-DPS shots, but there's also the fact that it comes back, making it incredibly easy to hit bosses with it. This shot went from a shot I barely ever used, to my go-to standard shot after I discovered its true power. Seriously, this shot sometimes makes the game TOO EASY. It literally CHEESES more than half of the grounded bosses in the entire game!

I always use spread on Chalice because she can easily double jump to get inside bosses (Pause 😳) hitboxes and spam EX which makes all the spikes hit dealing a lot of damage

I mean technically if you’re good enough the practicality ranking doesn’t matter and instead the highest damage stuff with the best ex’s are the ideal weapons so honestly I’d rather have spreadshot or lobber over roundabout even though roundabout is pretty solid. Charge is very good in general though especially for S ranks so I agree with that

I will not allow Crackshot EX slander here, it deserves more points other than a 2, if you have the parry ring that is a pocket heal, it can get rid of pesky minions while you focus on the boss, possibledouble (triple if miss Chalice) jump options for avoiding attacks heck on my S rank of salt baker I had crackshot and the turret helped out a ton with the 2nd phase as I used twist up and crackshot in tandem
Yes I has Crackshot, twist-up combo for salt baker, Yes I got an S on it, YES I used Miss Chalice with the armor super, and fyi I did that UNINTENIONALLY, and salt baker is no walk in the park even if you play as Chalice and I S ranked him with no thoughts other than surviving and breathing

Twist up isn't really the best on any fight, but it is massivly uderrated. I won't pretend it is good, but you can use it if you know how to. Aiming down makes it cover the screen below you, because it will go sideways for example. Aiming up will work the same way.
Charge and Roundabout have always been my go-to pair as well.

I would say buy Roundabout because I think it's better for more bosses in general. Although, if you think you can hit most of your Spread shots for future bosses, then you'd be dealing more damage, so it's totally up to you 👍
Fun fact the best boss for lobber is root pack he barely his the potato theres a lobber wall and if you hit the ground you hit the potato twice so it destroys that with spread then spread carries final and onion

I'm new and playing for a week. My loadout is crackshot, spread, super 1 (I didn't even grt a chance to get a new one lol) and the smoke dash charm cuz it just seems pretty op imo. Is there any other improvements I should make? ":)
Honestly, this is a good setup, especially since you're just starting out! I'd give roundabout a try once you have enough coins cause it's a really consistent shot, in my opinion, but other than that, you're looking pretty good 👍
For crack shot your forgetting that the ex counts as a parry, so it could be REALLY good paired up with heart ring

I just got to world 2 and it’s my first time playing and I wanna know any good shots, what one do you recommend me?

I personally use charge as my main weapon for all the isle 2 bosses, but if that's not your style, other weapons will definitely work. Spread woks great for beppi as does roundabout. Roundabout is really good with baroness Von bon bon, but spread can also be used pretty effectively here. Lobber is so good for Grim Matchstick, and most of anything can be good for your second weapon here, but I always utilize charge in Grim's final phase. Crackshot is also really well rounded for isle 2 if you have the dlc, but there's no shame in using Chaser if you don't. Hope this was able to help!
Twist up is SO GOOD for the dlc bosses, i thought the three way yellow gun (forgot the name) was the worst dlc weapon bc twist up it one of my favs!

For twist up, I would say the angel and demon secret boss or glumstone the giant. Grim's final phase is a great place to practice with charge, and saltbaker is great as well if you're trying to work on aim. Bon bon is also a great place to practice charge in my opinion 👍

The only time roundabout is a bad pick is the angel and devil, because the angel doesn’t take damage, and even if you get close, spread or lobber is just better.
Why does it say master quest at 0:47. Also if you use twist-up’s EX correctly, it’s really good. I actually regularly equip it as a secondary just for the EX
Good spotting! I needed a couple second clip of me walking up to the devil for the section of the video, and I forgot I had a mod installed at the time, so I just kept it. Interesting, maybe I'll have to play around with twist-up's ex a bit more

I would put the charge ex score down a little from the ex doing less then the shot
I was so surprised to hear the EX did less than the shot itself when I figured that out for the first time

When I realize I'm not holding the shoe button long enough but I realize I need to Dash and I need to charge stuff I just ate at the box and attack it with uncharged up I mean the only those six damage but something to nothing
in all seriousness tho, i don't have dlc yet, but my fav loadout regardless thus far is either roundabout or chaser and the spread, as i would end up doing a decent job of dealing damage at both long and close range, along with the extra-hp or twin-heart charm, so i can be more tanky, and quite fitting since i prefer tank/support characters in games cuz i'm a team player hahaha. And my fav super is easily the energy beam. Super versatile and nigh impossible for it to be bad!!

I think i would give the roundabout 1st place because when i used charge it was super harder and i got hit so many times so i would this is why my favorite one is roundabout the 2nd one 16:18

In my opinion my mail load out is crackshot and roundabout souly on crackshot’s mindfulness where you can shoot blindfolded and you will hit the boss and roundabout is in my opinion the best weapon in cuphead because of how much damage it can do but the ex is what carries it down

My usual “scouting” combo is chaser and charge, with smoke bomb and super art 1. But by th way, twist up is pretty good, and I’ve found my self using against bosses the have an “air” phase like that one theatre idiot

I don’t know about y’all but I NEVER use charge shot, there’s a lot of weapons that could do constant damage and charge shot won’t be consistent if there is so many projectiles on the screen like if your fighting chef saltbaker. But that’s just my opinion

Okay I might be getting controversial here, before the introduction of my beloved crackshot I wiped the floor with most of the bosses with Roundabout and Lobber. (It’s been my main weapons ever since the game first came out, and they never disappoint me.)
Honestly I think that's a pretty good loadout!

That's tough to say, but just off the top of my head:
1. Peashooter(Cuphead)
2. Peashooter(Challice)
3. Bombs(Cuphead)
4. Bombs(Challice)
Maybe I'll have to make a short about that sometime, though!
Chalices bomb has goated movement/ meanuverability goated range and high speeds it's the best weapon cup head bomb at 4 then chalice peashooter at 3 cup heads at 3 then bombs at 1

8.lobber (only good in bosses like grim and rumor but other than that not good)

krackshot(or however is written) I would rate it a lil bit lower in practicality because it isn’t 100% aim assist (sometimes if the boss moves it may miss)
Uncharged is the best weapon. Op damage and massive hotels that goes through ppl. It's great for beginners. :]

I don't know if you have already done this on your own but I think you should try to beat the game with every weapon. No charms or supers. Meaning beat the game with 1 weapon and then do the next and the next until you beat the game with every weapon.
Also Converge is really good on bosses like Beppi's final phase Phantom Express first phase or the Devils 2nd and 3rd phase. Most of the DLC bosses can be beaten with this too such as Glumstones first phase, Mortimore Freeze first phase or even moon shine mobs last phase with the anteater.
Thanks for the idea! I've actually done this already in past live streams in addition to being on Expert mode and not using any EXs or taking damage along with the other rules you thought up!

Ever since i started cuphead I used chaser the hooooll game and i comlyt it with the speed and smock Bome and super art 2 and in export

That is such an OP strategy!
The only problem with crackshot is that if an enemy is moving a lot, it can miss it's shots since it doesn't follow the enemy.
I disagree that crackshot is better than chaser. Chaser is better than the cracked crackshot because the chaser can get faster enemies while the cracked crackshot can only hit normal speed enemies. If the chaser somehow misses a shot its not that big of a deal because the chaser has low damage per shot while the crackshot has higher damage per shot.
The chaser has a lower cooldown and the crackshot has a higher cooldown. The uncracked crackshot is worse than the spread shot because the dps for the spread is higher than the uncracked crackshot. Also you have two slots for shots. And if you want more shots JUST USE THE DEVINE RELIC.

I will say I agree that the cracked crackshot is worse than Chaser, but for me, in almost every situation, crackshot is overall better cuase in my case, a decent amount of uncracked crackshots are usually hitting. I think I like spread a little better than crackshot personally, but I also wanted to take a beginning players perspective into account, which caused me to place it where I did. Divine relic is good, especially for plane bosses, but I find the weapon switching feature really annoying, and I find I can usually get through bosses faster without it
the uncharged charge shot is still the worsts shot HOWEVER. in chef saltbakers second phase the peppershakers he summons have as much health as exactly one fully charged charge shot and one uncharged charge shot. therefore you can send out a charge shot and an uncharged charge shot in quick succession before focussing on a different pepper shaker
I use this strategy a lot when S ranking saltbaker, and it's probably the single best purpose for the uncharged charge shot lol

Good spotting that is the Master Quest mod! While I was gathering gameplay for this video, I had the master quest mod installed for another video that I recently did, and I didn't wanna uninstall the mod just for a couple seconds of gameplay
