I love your videos Baz. I have my VW UP serviced by the local VW main dealer in N. London. Sadly, I suspect their technicians are not as meticulous as you are. Cheers, and keep producing the great videos. Have a good weekend too😀.
Great tip for doing brakes, bleeding old fluid out. Every day is a learning day I myself always bleed after new pads, but will now do both. Thanks ( home mechanic)
The exhaust hanger , thats an if you know you know , i have them all over my unit , with stuff hanging off them , i use them same as you on brake calipers 👍
Interesting comment on pumping out the rear brakes before closing the epb I've done it both ways over the years as opinion seems divided on the correct way, however from now on it's pump the pedal then close the service function.👍👍
This is golf mk7. The latest golf mk8 that will be the last golf with combustion engine, volkswagen announced a year ago. Apparently alternative replacement for golf going to be electric ID 2
Well, old engine oil is definitely acidic. I suppose one way to check would be to take thre samples: pre-flush, post-flush and then immediately post oil change, send them off for analysis and check for acidity. Baz, there’s definitely a video in that for you, mate! By the way I use engine flush pre oil change on a vehicle new to me if I’m not sure of its service history. If it’s been with me for a while and had regular oil changes I think the necessity isn’t there.
@@MadMurdock69 never knew that, I know if you replace the discs you always put new pads on, I've replaced pads before and the discs were perfect, never had any issues.

I like looking in the background of your videos, reminds me of the garage I worked in for 25 years now retired.

Love watching the wet belt videos Baz.
Does anyone clear the drain holes on the shocks?
Love the engine spruce at the end, always!👍
Great work. Shame customer has never heard of hosing, or better still jet washing out their wheel arches! Filthy.
Those Golf’s have Aluminium splash guards, they give up round fixings, dissimilar metals problem

Any recommendations for a first diagnostic tool for a relatively new tech for under £500? Love the vids!
Are the snap on scan tools redundant now ?don’t see them used much now 👍

Good job you deserve it
Baz what scanner do you use?
Think it's a Launch Eurotab 3
Yes it's the euro tab 3
Shouldn't the discs also be replaced aswel as the pads on the front...🤷♂️
Why?
@@tonyrice3348 Normal recommendation..

@tonyrice3348 In my experience when I've had pads renewed I've also renewed the disc's..
@@MadMurdock69 probably good practice to be fair
