Did the owner refuse putting new gearbox oil? These manual transmissions hold up to 2 liters, I understand that it can be quite expensive, but I would just replace it. Replaced mine with 60k km-s and it looked bad compared to the new fluid
Tough one to reply this one, but let's say this seal never failed would the oil get changed probably not, could I have upsold gearbox oil absolutely.... My side of it is perfectly fine to put back in, if it had swarf or contamination it would get replaced.... But yes I understand what you are saying
Where do you stop though as if you look on the VW workshop manual the 6 fixings that hold the inner cv joint in should be replaced along with the hub bolt and the 3 lower arm fixings and the inner cv joint flange fixing
If that was my car I’d have replaced the gearbox oil. Seems mad to put the old stuff back in but I get your point about it not being changed if there wasn’t a leak
That arm lowering tool is a must, saves a lot of hassle. 👍
New video from an award winning content creator thanx
Cheers buddy 🤙
I didn't even know such a tool existed for lowering those arms!
Did a ton of those seals, good have used the hold down tool back in the day😂
👍 great job
Top work baz 🤙🧡
We have one of the lower arm tools from Laser. Fantastic job but doesn't have the ratchet like yours. Saves so much hassle ✌️
Hi Baz been watching (Subbed) for a few weeks now, find the videos very engaging. Where does your phrase “Get it Sent” originate?
Baz have you not ever invested in those universal oil seal install tools with the various size discs. I have cheap set and used couple times ok
I have a golf mk7, just bled the brakes using VW instructions. Did an OBD scan and its saying it cannot connect to ABS module. Any idea why?
