    Thank you for explaining the benefit of adding in the Cornerstone squares. It always looked to me like it would make it too fussy, but I see the advantage now. Thank you so much

    I made this quilt using Mario cart fabric for my daughter highlighting Princess Peach and using hot pink and pastel pink for the divider bars and connector squares. Ended up also making matching pillow covers and a travel bag. This was my first “real” quilt and it was for a queen size bedspread. These instructions were clear and precise. It came out amazing and she loved everything.

I come from a family with all girls and everyone else has taken up the talent if quilting. Through the years i have learned that just because I can sew does not make me a quilter. My outer sister has for years taught quilting classes which ive never been able to attend. So i was very please to watch this quilting class. Thank you .

    • @tenalock6290
      @tenalock6290 ปีที่แล้ว

      Same here. I would always square by using the points. On the pinwheel top I attempted a lot of my points don't match exactly. I never could figure out why. But now I know. I am not frogging it but maybe an applique in the center could hide the mistakes. Now I need to see if you have a tutorial on how to do that. Lol

  • @marilynbrooks5717
    @marilynbrooks5717 3 ปีที่แล้ว +9

    Thank you so much for doing this video! I have tried and tried to make seams that match in the center. Sometimes they're perfect but more often than not they do not completely match up. You explained why today. I have always lined up the corners of the fabric and hoped for the best. You explained that I need to make sure the seams are lined up all the way down. Don't worry about the outer corners of the fabric. Now, for the 1st time in a long time I am ready to try it again. I have been so frustrated in the past I have just given up. Thank you again for this wonderful comet clearly explained video.

    Thanks! Very clear tutorial and at a good pace. The dot in the center of the ruler tip was really helpful.

    That was sooooo good Brianna! I saw the pattern but it scared me but now I am so putting it on my beginner list - sashing and all! I just love the way you explain everything. You and Cindi will make me a quilter yet and won't I surprise my Sister!

    You are a great teacher! I learned so much. And the strips on the green strips would drive me crazy too. ❤️

      Me too Sandra. And I am trying to hand sew a big quilt for my grandbaby. Thanks to all the videos and the people who have taken the time to make these videos, it’s not coming out bad at all. I’m doing a memory story quilt. Good luck with your project.

    Hi Brianna, Your video just showed up on my TH-cam feed today and I realized you inspired me to make this quilt! I just got it back from the quilter last week and it is so pretty. Thank you for your inspiring and instructional video.

    This was an excellent tutorial, very easy to understand. I've sewn a few tops and made 1 full quilt, just a random scrap quilt, but I had trouble lining up the points. Teaching us to nestle those seams will definitely be a game changer for me. I'm not a new sewer but sometimes the rules for sewing clothing don't work for quilting. Thanks. :o)

    Thanks for giving me a choice of size of blocks,to sash or not and explaining the difference in color choices. That was very helpful.
