Right? There's a way to say "lets see what happened but if it is what it seems like it's horrific." That husband holds great resentment towards his "nagging" wife. He threw that bag because he hated that once again his wife tells him to do chores and he's sick of hearing it. If a remark like that makes him throw stuff, he'll keep building resentment and explode in the future.
Husbands like that don't decide to leave. They only want their current wife to do what they're supposed to. If they don't, increasingly worse things happen. I'm glad OP decided to follow through this time. I hope his tricks won't work to get her back and she truly moves on. Living somewhere else will make her notice just how much less work she has evvery day and how easy it is to breathe at home. Very scary situation. Her boss's murder at least will have a silver linig.

That’s because people think intelligence means having knowledge, or only pattern recognition. The IQ tests are more than just your pattern recognition, they also tests your working memory, logical thinking, and retelling of information. When I did mine, I did more tasks than just matching a bunch of figures with each other. The most memorable test I had was that they wanted me to repeat numbers the evaluator said in different ways. So they would say 6 numbers and then tell me to retell them in opposite order, rank them from highest to lowest etc. These sort of tests also require you to be at your physical and mentally best, because if you’re not that will affect your results. Because at the end of the day, the IQ measures someone’s ability to gain, process, retain and retell information and knowledge and how fast they can do it. A person with high IQ will have an easier time doing that, but that doesn’t mean someone who has average or even under average can’t. It’s just somewhat easier for the person with high IQ.

And the reason was that "she was scared he wouldn't want her if she was honest", which means that he basically can't trust anything she says in the future because he can never know if it's true or if she is just lieing to him because she decided that he doesn't want to know the truth.

IQ of 70 is not "needing somebody around". Under 85 is considered intellectual disabilities, if I remember correctly 70-85 is mild, 55-70 is moderate, under 55 is severe. Severe is usually needing somebody around, moderate is typically needing an assistant occasionally and mild is typically "can live by themselves, but might need occasional help, or no help at all". Also people with mild often have jobs, albeit simple. So it's a range, and also specific from case to case, but these are general guidelines

I think both you and @sarahberkner don't understand the real issue here. I also don't think that 6 years of a difference are a big deal and he is definitely not obligated to break up with her because of the age difference. As long as both of them are adults, it doesn't matter. The issue here is not that she is 18, the issue here is that he found out that the entire relationship was founded on a lie. He simply can't trust anything she says ever again, because instead of owning up to her mistake, her excuse was just "Well I thought you wouldn't hook with me if I didn't lie".
So if he doesn't break up with her he'll basically never be able to tell if she is telling the truth or just lieing to get what she wants. And THAT is a huge red flag regardless of age.

Things IQ testing is affected by: language barriers and assimilation to the local culture, mood, sleep, whether you have studied or not, neurodivergence, and breakfast. They tested it. If you don't have breakfast, your IQ is lower. IQ measures... something, but you can really get numbers out of anywhere if you want to. I could divide the number of cats in Amsterdam by the distance to the moon, but that doesn't make the cat/moon quotient important (it's an exaggerated and silly example to make a point). The history of IQ testing started as a helpful tool for elementary teachers, but then got picked up by movements such as Jim Crow, eugenics, and fascism for far less wholesome purpose. The idea of general intelligence as it is today is very shaky on the science.

I would also feel betrayed if I found out that my partner was much younger than they said they were. 27 and 22 is already a pretty big age gap in you take into consideration how young the younger person in the relationship is, and where they are mentally; so to find out that a 5 year age gap actually was a 9 year age gap would be rough. An 18 year old, although a legal adult, is still basically a child, and I (as a 24 year old) would not be comfortable dating someone who just graduated high school (ever more so if I was 27). I would feel nauseous from the thought that I was attracted to someone so much younger than I am, because although she was the one who lied, I would feel like I was unintentionally predatory towards her. It's likely he feels similar since he even states that he would've been hesitant to get involved with her in the first place if he knew her actual age. Also, do we know if she's been 18 the entire time they dated, because if she hadn't turned 18 yet by the time they started dating, she, legally speaking, wouldn't have been able to give consent in the beginning of their relationship, which just brings up a bunch of other issues. On top of that: a relationship built on a lie isn't a stable relationship. Do we know if she's been lying about other things too? I don't doubt that the baby is his, but if she's been lying about her age it's likely she's been lying about other things; so now his irresponsible actions (of getting her pregnant) has tied him, for life (even if they don't actually stay together) to someone he can't even be sure he knows.

They often get confused, but that's the difference between intelligence and wisdom. Wisdom is knowledge, the amount of information you know and can use, intelligence is how well you can absorb and connect new information. That's why IQ tests are a lot of pattern recognition related things, they're not testing how much you know, but your ability to acquire new information, recognize patterns, and integrate it into what you know. Building a shelf and starting a fire take having been taught, it takes wisdom and knowledge, but recognizing patterns takes intelligence.

Standard IQ tests are a very old metrics (I believe from the 50s) and measure mostly language/math skills, i.e. stuff you need for school. There's more recent models which have 7 types of intelligence, including social, emotional, physical, musical etc. There's also the concept of fluid intelligence which ties into it. Basically that some intelligence is crystallised (unchangeable) and some is fluid (can be used for whatever purpose you use it for, or skill you're building). Think of it as potential. For example, if you start learning a new language, you're using that fluid intelligence, or you can decide to use for let's say learning how to ski. It's really fascinating, I recommend checking it out. (Worked as a speech and language therapist and dealt with IQ tests all the time, particularly for kids with various syndromes, intellectual disabilities etc.)
TLDR: intelligence is a profile of multiple skills and you get better at the ones in which you invest time developing.

I sheepishly let her know... rank 47.. and she just burst out laughing and calls herself agent 47 in public to embarrass me, sometimes jokingly saying she got booted down to 48 if we pass trashcans and the like. You literally told your gf she ranked 47th. By definition that means you like 46 characters more than a real person. If you were joking, you should have said so, but if not, you do kind of seem like a loser. I wouldn't want to date someone who admitted they liked 46 fictional characters more than me, and it's not because of ~insecurity~ it's because it's weird to care about or like fictional characters more than your partner. You seem like exactly the type of guy who's about to get sucked into the world of virtual AI women and never interact with real ones again, or start mistreating the ones you do.

There was no pressure for s3x or anything. What lots of guys don’t realize is that a silent hug, a little snack and their presence is enough.
