Saving Puerto Rican parrots

For more than a decade, Lincoln Park Zoo has been working with the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service and the Puerto Rico Department of Natural and Environmental Resources to ensure the survival of the critically endangered Puerto Rican parrot using science-based management.

Became a bird lover as an adult and had no idea how beautiful our parrot was!

I live in the Las Marías & Mayaguez border not that far from Maricao: Flocks or companies of Puerto Rican parrots do fly around this area hopefully expanding their habitat. They're very boisterous but very welcomed. In this area we have pretty large pockets of forest that they certainly can colonize.
