- Lots of lizards, Coqui frogs, birds and other inhabitants of Northeastern Puerto Rico.
Correction: a viewer pointed out that the lizard at 9:09 is not a Desecheo Anole but an Anolis evermanni - Puerto Rican Emerald Anole. Thank you to whoever corrected me. It seems like TH-cam may have removed your comment :(

Hermosa mi Isla del Encanto! 🌺🇵🇷🌺🌊🌴
Over development is definitely a problem in Puerto Rico. There is a need for protecting more woodland.
Me trae muchos recuerdos.
Nice shot👍🇵🇷

Yo soy puertoriqueño
9:09 that is not a deséchelo anole that is a emeral anole because deséchelo anole are found in Desecheo island and they have a crest and are a light brown or caqui color
Thank you for this information. I will post a correction in the comments. Much appreciated!
How do you know that much about Puerto Rican species?
I actually mainly used the internet to ID species from this trip. Usually I use field guide books.
Did you observe the Puerto Rican Boa chilabothrus inornatus ?
I wish!
What hotel were you staying at?
We stayed at the Wyndam Rio Mar as part of a package deal. Nice place for families to stay for sure but I would prefer something more rustic in the future.
Awesome! Thanks
Is sad we don't have a big animal in Puerto Rico.
I wish we had something like a capybara or a pig type it would been cool
We have jay Fonseca
To bad over population lack of environmental laws enforcement and only earn money actitudes from the government and citizens are destroying the few wild life reserves on the island. To Bad the island is beautiful.Put for how long? This video will eventually be remembered of how the island was.
:(
This is proof that humans are a pestilence and just a raging fatuous parasite infection on this planet. Everywhere they go, they sprawl and denude the precious biome that gives life. From a distance, you can see the ravages to Mother Earth; the creeping plague that is human civilization scaling over the lush greenery of her virgin forests, laying waste to delicate wonders that will never come this way again.
Hello
This is so sad. All I see are the remnants of what the Spanish conquers didn't kill. My heart 💔 I will always love you Puerto Rico
There were natives before then that used the land extensively and the modern people of the island that destroyed most of the forests in the recent past. Soft brained simpleton
AND CROC'S
