    I do not mind at all traveling to the person. I’m desperate and need a top notch doctor who can customize my challenges. Thanks in advance for your provider. It sounds like you did your research and found a great provider. 👍

    Glad to see everything worked out for you! I think I commented a while back that I have finished my MSE expander successfully as well. I just got the MSE expander removed a few weeks ago and getting braces soon to align everything up. I always struggled before with speech problems like really nasal voice, stuttering and enunciating due to lack to space and mouth breathing, and was wondering if you could recommend me some exercises to do? Also I noticed the shape and placement or the tongue still feels really weird in my mouth. Do I have to retrain everything?

      Yes, based on what you are saying, I would recommend doing oral motor exercises to regain better tongue positioning and coordination. How long after your last turn did you leave your MSE in before removing it?

    • @jamesxu7582
      @jamesxu7582 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@allsleepashley 3 months. My ortho said the wait time will solify any bone movements that occured from the MSE. If I may ask what expander are you currently using and what’s the main difference between yours and a standard MSE?

      @@jamesxu7582 I have a custom-made expander with a regular MSE (2 turn-screw, 4 vertical screws into palate) and an additional expanders screw with 4 horizontal screws in front. These are connected by acrylic. There is less chance for screw drag with this. I have very thin cortical bone, which is why we decided to do this.

    How was the pain the first few days for you? I found a provider but would like to find more. Mine has only done 25 cases… which I don’t know is enough but his success rate has been great. Anyway you can help me find a provider ? I’m willing to travel out of state. Thank you for sharing your journey!!

    I'm a failure example here my mse didn't split the suture just the one side my molars got shiftet or pulled that is not a good thing and the worst is that one ring of mse in one molar is longer as it should my mouth do not close my orthodontist still say its normal idk anymore where this dance we say in albania is gonna end

    Did you have ear clogging issue. ? That’s my biggest concern with tmd

  • @anishtheone
    @anishtheone 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The issue you talk about around 4 minutes with the screws dragging is why I went with the EASE instead of the MSE. I also have very thin cortical bone so just vertical TADs wouldn’t have worked for me. I talk about it here: th-cam.com/video/BjskER5uJ08/w-d-xo.html

    What do you think about EASE (w/ Dr. Kasey Li) as a better and less risky alternative than MSE?

    hi there ! thanks a lot for this video. do you have any idea what palatal bone thickness is ideal? is everything >4mm fine?

  • @RegineBrady

    Where did you go? I need a specific doctor name/number recommendation. I’m an adult with a narrow palate who had a palate expanded as a child but I have breathing problems and an off bite. Thanks for your referral!!

    Did you pay for the cost of your treatment upfront? Or did you use financing/installments?

    I notice that sometimes people with MSE end up with lisps. Was this something you developed? Curious to know if it goes away eventually.

    what do you think are the esthetic changes on face from MSE>?? i m confused between mse + facemask or an upper jaw surgery . my overall goal is to fix my slight flatness around my mid face and deepset nasolabial folds . i have an edge to edge bite and need around 2-3 mm of forward growth , and im 19 year old male

    • @wheri-IRL
      @wheri-IRL ปีที่แล้ว

      MSE will help a little with flatness and deepset nasolabial folds, but upper jaw surgery will give you really good results without changing the eye area.

    • @Karmik_bhavya
      @Karmik_bhavya ปีที่แล้ว

      @@wheri-IRL well upper jaw surgery is kinda really heavy thing , you know , you literally rip apart your jaw and fix it with screws and shit . I guess I will go with MSE but the thing is experienced MSE providers here are way too expensive man. I'm a college student, it's hard to take more expenses. Thanks for your opinion tho
