This is an introductory series into Synfig. The version used in this video is 1.3.16. Synfig is an opensource 2D animation software with many powerful tools and features. It's still being developed but with each update, it gets better and better.
Images can be deformed using the skeleton deformation tool. This is useful if you don't want to rig a character in parts, however it's not the most efficient of tools.
    Download Synfig:
    gumroad.com/a/431289555 (Synfig stable version)
    gumroad.com/a/57996499 (Synfig development version)

You did a very good job with this tutorial: To-the-point, clear and understandable.
Although I’m watching on my iPad, I am confident that you’ve helped me grasp the rigging concept well enough that I can apply your instruction once I’m at my desktop using Synfig. I’ve learned a lot here. Thank you.

Thank you for this. This has been such a breakthrough tutorial for me. No more struggling with individual pieces for me. I'm now super excited to continue my tries in animation!

I have been using your vids to learn to animate thank you. (a few on my channel). When I move the arm it stretches or messes up the size of the arm, is there a way to keep the original size of the arm as I move? Trying to get my character to lift her arm and wave her hand, I could use some help pls.

This seems super helpful so I must ask, why do you barely use it? Do you just use the skeleton tool instead?
Anyway great tutorial series! It definitely helps me learn this program as I'm trying to find a good Adobe Animate CC alternative. I subscribed. Thank you for all the valuable information :3
What program do you use to make music?

I'm glad you are enjoying the series. I mostly use the skeleton tool because I rarely have need for the skeleton deformation based on my needs. The program I use for the music is Fl Studio

@@YOWKhemardi Makes sense. Thank you for your reply :) I will look into the music program. I make animations and it would be helpful if possible to make my own music instead of spending hours trying to find fitting copyright free music xD

Hi! Thank you for the video. I have succeeded.
I also have a question. How can I put a background (green screen) behind it so that it doesn't move with the character?
Thank you in advance for your help.

how do i select both of the skeletal deformation and the layer underneath it like you did in 1:28

Difficult step, imagine you have at least 10 characters and you add bone , rigging and add frames

Good observation. Animation takes patience and a lot of practise

do we have to erase the background of the image?

    • @YOWKhemardi
      @YOWKhemardi  ปีที่แล้ว

Yes, it works best if the image has no background.
