- Learn how to create simple character animations in Synfig Studio with the skeleton deformation tool.
Synfig Studio is a free and open-source 2D animation software, designed as powerful industrial-strength solution for creating film-quality animation using a vector and bitmap artwork.
Synfig amazes me. I’m astonished that you can import an image, then animate it. I’m a TVPaint user (bitmap, frame-by-frame), so this vector logic is unfamiliar to me.
I’m learning Synfig, and your video has helped me animate a fish I drew with the bezier tool. 🙂
YOU have the BEST tutorial for synfig! Idc that I'm late to the party! LOL Get@me!! I need your help!!! lol

is there anyway to set the area of influence of bones to specific areas of the image? like vertex painting almost. like the software so far but im having a hard time getting things to distort the way i want them to with just circles for selecting its influence
Great video! I have one question when I right click the layer group then go to distortions I can't find Skeleton Deformation I also looked in the other tab and still can't find it. I am using linux mint 18 kde. Please help! Thanks!
Voice is satisfying.
thaaaaaaank you i love yooooou
If I may ask, is it possible to make the area that the bone affects a different shape, other than a circle?
Хорошо что есть субтитры
If only people knew the power of synfig...
how do I animate once the rigging is done?
When I make a skeleton deformation no green box appears just one bone
try zoom out
why is your synfig programm so beautiful???
Edit > Preferences > Interface > Dark UI Theme
How can i expand the squere to choose where bones shoulf effect
what for a version is this ?
This works, but when I add my background it warps that too....
why do you select the 2d bone to create arm bones? i men cn i select the st or the 3d one?
Because that's how hierarchy works in animation. Arm bones are childs of the 2nd bone. This prevents the arms to move when you want to move just the head, for example.
1:33
The Bone Slayer!?
What terrifying beast is this?
the green box doesn't appears
...
Go to "view" > "show/hide..."> then select the one of the bones
How do you enable dark mode.
These tutorials are awesome, but it gets a bit confusing with all the versions of the program.
why no more videos? its been 3 years
I don't get any green box
And creating child bone doesn't do anything- the first bone disappears and doesn't come back.
Clicking doesn't create a bone.
there is no skeleton deformation
ok, thanks for the answer
which software are you use?
It says it in the title.
its free ?
