Had my 718S PDK 6 months now after 3 yrs with a manual 981. It’s a fantastic car and now has all the power you need.
It sure is
Nice review Glenn. Your enthusiasm for the porsche brand is genuine and refreshing. Thank you for the insights on such a fine vehicle
Much appreciated!
I have the exactly the same spec interior 😊 my 718S in manual though. Love it but still miss my old B5 RS4
Very nice!
Good review. I have a 1999 Carrera and I agree that it is slow from a stop or at low RPM. This 718 Cayman S seems to have good acceleration at low RPM thanks to the low end torque. This video has me strongly considering the Cayman over the 911 and one reason is I like the way the Cayman interior stayed with the analog displays and the shifter that doesn't look like an electric razor.
Good point
That is one great looking car. For a four cylinder fast. Sounds like the handling amazing too Glenn. Don't forget room for hockey stuff eh? Hahah
that's right. I had a 2008 Cayman S, I put my hockey bag in the front trunk (frunk) sticks in the passenger seat and helmet and skates in the rear hatch
Great car, but the Achilles heel is the engine noise. I am pondering a 718 GT4 but I would need to give up my 991.2 Carrera T to get it. Tough call!
Tough call for sure
Just drove the 2021 GTS at the Porsche Experience for Father’s Day. I was really really impressed.
Its an amazing car
@@GlennsCarCollection I was surprised that I liked it more than the 911.
Great video. Fun car
Glad you enjoyed it
Go to 7:52 right meow
Awesome video of a cool car
It sure is!
Nice video of a cool Porsche
Glad you liked it!
Great Video. I personally prefer the 987.2 (2012) Cayman S in manual.
Great choice Pedro. A 987.2 manual is very rare
Are these pretty daily drivable? Was super against these because of the flat4 but now that all caymans will be electric changed my mind lol
very daily drivable because with the turbo you have power down low
@@GlennsCarCollection Is it too low? I commute to work in LA so worried about curbs and crappy roads lol
What model year?
2017, first year of the 718
18 gts here, more racy / rambunctious than a 911 in sport mode, pop,pop,pop....
That's true. Enjoy your GTS, great car !
Mehh, I sill take a 370z anyday over this Democrat looking car 🤣
