Me too I have a love hate relationship with my boss. I feel like with the project we are working on, he won’t be out of my life for another year… It is really hurting my personal life.
He is completely ignoring me sometimes when I message him for something important.
if he does something wrong he will get mad if I tell him that it hurt me or it delays things. He can not accept his faults.
He doesn’t take action on things that need immediate action and waits for me to just deal with everything in his business. And then he won’t pay me appropriately so I created my boundaries but over time I end up doing the work he doesn’t pay me for because he keeps adding things little by little to my dish so he can have no obligations or responsibilities, if I stand up for myself he makes it seem like it’s my responsibility.
      It’s so crazy.
The worst part is I am the best employee and he has hired others, he won’t blame them or stand up to them when they make severe mistakes but if I make a mistake I get a call and reprimand… Why?

My highschool friends back then were also in a love hate relationship, both of them were always in the wrong but will always put the blame on each other at first you would never have thought they were in a relationship until they say so,they have already broken up three times in just two months of dating and would always beat each other up and when the teachers asked them why they would always use the excuse 'We just had a misunderstanding' when in reality they just wanted to see each other in pain, they were really deeply inlove with eachother before dating but when they started dating they became more distant, but now after the covid it turned out they have worked out their problems and got engaged but just becouse you've seen this coment about a love hate relationship working out and your in one does not mean yours will work out.

Okay so I find myself being that Hijackal which btw I have no idea what tht means but hearing this video I get the gist of it, first time finding your channel and viewing this I wonder why am I a Hijackal? How did I become one and most importantly how can I undo this if possible because its so depressing 😞 living this way my partner doesn't deserve this.

I created the term, Hijackal, and I define it this way: "A person who hijacks a relationship for their own needs and purposes, and relentlessly scavenges it for power, status, and control."
If you have learned these behaviors, you'll likely need specialized help to choose new behaviors. If you want my help, you can start here: BeAClient.com

The “she” threw me off 100% as a male here in a relationship with two children working 55 hours a week. Paying 1900$ in day care and 1,100$ mortgage every month, who’s also built a savings account for a woman, whom refuses to help me start my own company. I work and then fall asleep, with our newborn!every single night and struggle to please everyone. To make everyone laugh and be happy. It’s hard I’m so stuck and so deep financially that I can’t afford to leave. she works full time and together we bring in enough to live above poverty. It just seems like the amount she’s saved through myself, reflected her bank account, that is hers. but mine buying dinners, arcades with kids, gas for fun. This spending and giving far too much monthly, just isn’t enough for me to financially leave. Without the repercussions of my children not seeing their dad. But anyways I’m paying 4000$ a month to pretty much sleep on the couch due to our new child. It hurts my heart and angers me that I’m here as a man, seeking the same thing a woman would. And have to hear her speaking as only a woman can go through this! but I googled as a man seeking help and found a video only stating this applies to a woman’s feelings, us men have no feelings

Men are abused by women. Women are abused by men. Children are abused by parents. Parents are abused by their children. Abuse is sadly perpetrated in all directions.

Tbh it is making sense now you can't love and hate someone you can't if you hate someone you don't care dont about them you don't not at all and you don't love them if you love someone you care about them you you love that person

Kinda curious Doctor, is this hijackal people only happened in romantic relationship or any form of relationship we make through out our life with people we encounter?

Any people, anywhere in our lives. It will particularly be in relationships with parents, siblings, and romantic partners that you will first notice it. Once you see that it has been in those, you'll begin to look at all other relationships in your life.
If you've had Hijackal parents, you'll likely find that many of your long-time friends may also have Hijackal tendencies.
