What an excellent review, you brought a brochure to life, the colour choices, wheel trims, options etc, I particularly liked that you went through each interior element without rushing, I’ve subscribed , well done
Brilliant review Sam and go Carcode being the first to have a review of the Explorer!! That’s quite an achievement and shout out to Pye Motors for making that possible 🎉😊❤ I know how much you love your VWs but I have to say I think Ford have done a better job with their parts than they did! Definitely going to make VW sit up and think when doing the ID4 facelift! Brilliant in depth review as always, keep up the good work 😊
Thank you! Yes Pye Motors have been excellent, I’m very lucky to be one of the first to review it on UK roads. I agree although I love VWs, the ID range lacks a bit of character, I think this is changing though, more so in the next generation of models like the ID.2all/GTI 🤞🏻 It’s great to see 2 big brands working together to make a great product!
Hi Sam. A great review, very thorough indeed. It's an impressive looking SUV. Quite stunning especially in black. And the interior is superb. £50,000 is way too much for me but as you say it's the monthly price that matters to purchasers (via leasing).
Hi Andrew, thank you! It is a stunning looking machine, the black is rather sleek. Yes, EV list prices aren’t low it’s all about the monthlies for people now. I expect cash prices will come down quite a bit in a few years once leases end 😊
Yes, the exterior colour can make a huge difference to the looks of a car! This is the same reason I like other cars in black as their accents blend in well, such as the Honda e which I think is best in black. It is definitely worth considering!
It certainly is a good looking car! I think it will be a popular choice, especially for those loyal to the Ford brand, the stylish but rather straightforward design is what many are looking for and are not getting from more Avantgarde designs from the French manufacturers. I have to say the new Scenic looks great, but from looks alone I’d pick the Explorer. Thanks Oliver 😄
I was considering this car but ultimately went with the Volvo EX30 Ultra Long Range. However, this Ford also seems like a fantastic option. Hopefully, I made the right choice with the Volvo, haha!
Looks a nice job, just wish they had not used this as the basis for the Capri… if you want a Ford then I would go for this one, the Capri variant brings nothing new to the table except perhaps yellow!
Considering its base on the VW iD4 platform it has a smaller boot space 450ltrs vs 543ltrs (iD4) means pretty poor design considering the competition is an iD4 & the Skoda Enyaq with same platform and 585ltrs boot space.
Yes although it is on the same platform, the Explorer is quite a bit shorter hence the smaller boot. Ford / VW actually aimed for it to be in between the size of the ID.3 & ID.4, although it is much closer in size to the 4. I prefer the design of the Ford & 450L is a decent boot for most people, however for bigger families etc, I can see them choosing the Enyaq / ID.4!
I would say the Explorer is probably a more practical shape if you plan on having dogs in the boot, the coupe - SUV shape on the Capri might mean your pooches have less headroom. Thanks, I’m glad you enjoyed it 😄
Cheers Alan! It’s a great bit of kit, I can’t say it’s in my budget either, they could become affordable in a few years once the first set of fleet buyers finish their leases.
If they removed the ford logo in front and it just said explorer in black. Damn that would look stylish
You can black out the ford logo.
@scottgregory885 awsome!

Thank you 😊 I will 💪🏻🙌🏻
Great video as always. Commenting for the algorithm so more people get to see your reviews. Been a sub since your Tiguan review ❤
Thank you, I really appreciate it 😄
Love how you show the wheel choices - very clever 😊
Thanks Chris!

Great and detailed review. Cheers
Glad you enjoyed, thank you!
Great Review, Sam! 🎉
Cheers 😄
Great review - definitely on my shortlist.
Thank you! Definitely one to have a look at 😄
Crossed this off my list as i hated the front design but after seeing it in black ive completely changedmy mind, looks great

It’s more interesting than the Skoda Enyaq and less dowdy than the VW ID4. Giving the Renault Scenic a good fight. Very nice review Sam.

Very good review
Thank you 😊
Hi Sam...best regards from Eisenach/Germany👋
A great review!
Cheers!

Great review
Thank you 😊
I'd like to see it in a metallic orange, I quite like an orange SUV for some reason
That would work so well on the Explorer!
My main concern is the paronamic roof without a cover. Does it affect vision / glare and do you feel the heat from the sun?
Thx

OMG what a co-incidence! We both uploaded new Explorer EV videos on the same night!!
Wow 😆 think that makes us the first couple of UK reviews on the Explorer!
@@Carcode oh maybe?! Look at us being first!

"Seems spacious when such a large person can move so freely."
God rapport!
I might just get an explorer, or wait until I see if the dogs fit in a capri. Great review, twink does cars I love it!

Door handles Audi Q4, ID4 has many problems with them
Ah yes 😅 my dad had a Q4 so that was the confusion! I like these handles better than the flatter ones on the ID.4.
It's a id4 with some eye candy.😅
👏🏻Exactly!
What a cracking car well outside my price range unless I win the lottery cracking video as well

Please stop touching the black paint lol
Sorry, oops 👀😅
This car would be sick with a different grill and a big fat V8
Are you even old enough to drive? 😂
Yes… it’s me driving not CGI 😅
Has he got a day off school ?
Electric cars will have to pay tax from 2025
In which country? At least not in Germany

Not a fan of the design....looks like every other crossover out there. Sadly they are sullying the Exlporer badge.
Does this child even have a driving license?
Of course 😅
Does your mum know what you're doing?
Yes, she enjoys my reviews 😄
