Updated information regarding playing your casinocade games offline.
Ok, when you first buy the cabinet, you need a wifi connection to set up the cabinet and download the main games
You also need the internet to unlock all the other games. But they have fixed it where you can play the games you have on your cabinet already downloaded. If your internet goes out or you don't have wifi. So yes, you can play the games you downloaded already to the cabinet without wifi.
You just cannot:
Get on leaderboards
Earn gems while playing
Spin to win the global jackpot
Unlock and update games
Change your email, handle, password, or avatar.
Me again, just saw this comment. How do you initiate a software update to download this patch to allow offline play?
@Matunahelper It does it automatically when you boot up and it gets to the games screen while you are online.
You never actually see it download anything.

Thank you so much for informing us on this. This is outrageous. I totally agree they completely have delt in fraudulent practices. Phoney giveaways, cabinets not working, failing. Making peoe pay to fix an already known quality issue. The list goes on and on. They should be reported and possibly sued at this point.

It's absolutely mind blowing to me that they continuously put these products out time after time and don't inform the consumers about SERIOUS information like this. You know DAMN WELL it was intentionally left out. I'm really starting to question the integrity of the people at the top of this company. Or the whole company for that matter. This isn't the first time they left out valuable information and won't be the last. And their lack of concern over helping valuable customers with their issues is pathetic. That response you got was a huge F you. They should have just took a picture of a middle finger and sent it to you. It would have saved everyone time.
Mike, that is hysterical. That is exactly what my wife and I said. It was basically a middle finger and a laugh with the comment, " It's your problem now sucker!"
They really need to be reported to the FTC. They have pulled too many of these now. Their products for the most part have sub par, stricken with problems. And they lay all the troubles in the consumers laps. I have never ever seen another company like them.

They only had a few cabs without flaws, Star Wars was one, maybe Ridge Racer, and the newer Street Fighter II Yoga and Hadoken cabinets, and the new Mortal Kombat II Deluxe which I got but didn't build yet.

You could buy a wifi extender that does the 2.4/5 and only connect this machine to it. It all goes back to what we been saying "They do not care".
Hey T, I actually tried that. It would not connect to it. Unfortunately, it only works on certain modems. If you have a newer 6ghz modem it will not see a split signal. So you have to use an older modem. They really don't care.
Wow, this is crazy. I wish they had never tried to do all this online stuff (except for software patches) and just spent their resources on the cabs and games. So many resources and goodwill wasted in failed online fiascos.

Holy crap. This has to be one if not the top royal F-up from A1u. If anyone has one, return it and do not break or bend untill you get a refund. This is absolutely unexcuseable.
I absolutely agree. And I just got done handing them $130.00 for the replacement PCBA kit for the Star Wars pinball, which failed on me and many others. They claimed the warranty was up. But they knew about the pinball issues from the beginning. They knew many were going to fail at some point

Thank you for doing this. This is the same question I had. I was almost about to buy one but this convinced me to not buy one based on the same concerns you had (what if the company goes out of business).
Yes, that is a big issue. But the other issue also was there are many older generations who just want to play the games. They don't want to be bothered by wifi connection, or they don't even have wifi. It really was a deceptive move on their part. They never addressed this issue until we all put the heat on them regarding it. There was never any intention, in my opinion, of them ever making this not play without wifi connection. Thanks for this vid! Was going to maybe see about getting this for Christmas time if there was any big sale, but the internet goes out everyday where I live. I prefer offline gaming anyway.
Well, they did put out the statement that they are going to update the machine to work offline. So hopefully it comes before the holidays.
The easiest way to fix that for your 6 gig setup is to use a sub router, what do I mean ? I've done this before in the back of your router should be an ethernet port to plug devices directly in, get a 2.4 gigahertz wireless router and plug it into that. set it up normally and when you do your wireless network scan the 2.4 will show up on the casinocade. I also tend to use the 2.4s for a small devices like cell phones and wireless network gadgets like printers and whatever that way it keeps your big 6 gig free to use the full bandwidth because the 2.4 is plugged directly in using an ethernet cable it shouldn't slow down the 6 gig. But I agree needs wireless connection should have been clearly printed on their website I was a little ticked off when I got it and I had to go through the setup screen
Were having a blast with the cabinet but they should have put the dollar symbols next to the score for more fun. Also I agree I had no idea it needs wifi which I like for the online leadrboard part but it should be on the box or give us a offline family mode with offline accounts so local competition is easier and you can see how well everyone is doing. Also I hope they add more premium games like buffalo extc. Anyone thats been to a casino would expect way more variety. Its pretty fun and the sounds are nice though!

Mine after a few months is glitching. The daily spin just keeps loading or reloading then other times after the daily spin the background music just keeps playing. I've had issues with it not connecting to wifi too.

how about get the screen loaded with the right wi fi instead of turning off the machine after its running keep it on and then switch your wi fi signal see what that does the games should already be running before the split
Yes, I have tried that. And yes, if the machine is on and wifi, then you switch signal, and the games will stay on. But you, of course, can not access the leaderboard or the global jackpot. Which of course is fine. But as soon as you turn the machine off. You will not be able to connect again. But that was never the real issue. The issue is for the older folks or anyone who does not have wifi in their house at all. If they purchased the cabinet, they should immediately be able to play the games on the cabinet without ever connecting to a wifi connection. That's the issue. And it's the one Arcade1up never disclosed to the consumer.
Just bought this for my father for his birthday. I’m trying to set it up for him before delivering it to him, how do I get this thing to connect to my home network? I have an expensive Orbi mesh router system. I’m assuming it’s the 6ghz you’re referring to.
Hello, thanks for reaching out. You have to make sure you have a combo router. That sendsasignal on 2.4ghz and either 5 or 6 ghz. The machine must connect to the 2.4 ghtz signal. So you have to force it on that signal. If you have a button on your gateway/router, push it to pair on 2.4. If there is no button, you can go into settings in the and set it to connect to 2.4 ghtz signal. You can also set it up as a guest and use a hotspot through your phone to get online. You can also use a signal extender and set the extender to just find the 2.4 ghtz signal. Place the machine close to your gateway/router when first setting it up.let me know if any of that helps.
@@JesterTester thanks for the reply! I did they and finally got it to work at my house long enough to download all the games and set it up. Now I have to take it to my dad’s and pray his router is already 2.4, cause I don’t want to have to modify his WiFi also.

And I thought it was bad enough with the problems with there pinball and the Tempest cab, now this...wow. Also, I have a gun that dont work on my T2. Submitted a ticket 6 months ago for a replacement and still nothing. Im done too
Wow, sorry to hear about the T2 guns. Yes, they are ridiculous now. I also had the Tempest issues. They made me pay just recently for a new PCBA power kit for Star Wars Pinball $130.00 for that. I had the Dragons Lair Numeric lcd screen blow out. The Pong countercade one side spinner was defective. Attack from Mars Pinball pcba and accelerometer failed I replaced those. It's really incredible what they are getting away with. Yeah, I really don't see myself getting any more of their products. Thanks for watching. I really appreciate it. This past August, we released the brand new Arcade1Up Wheel of Fortune Machine featuring online leaderboards, gem currency systems, daily spin, unlockable playground games and avatars, for a feature-rich casino experience. It has been recently brought to our attention that an unintended issue persists that requires the product to be continuously connected for proper gameplay functionality. We are currently working on an update to all Wheel of Fortune Machines to provide an offline gameplay experience for all titles previously downloaded to the machine without the need for connected features after the initial Wi-Fi connected setup. We will provide updates regarding this process very soon.

@furiousgeorge00 That is hysterical. Yes, that is what I understand. Which defeats the whole purpose. The older generation who would want to play these games, many don't have any wifi. So, there are two issues. The first one is out of the box. You have to initially connect to wifi to set the machine up. Then, after it's supposed to work offline???? The other is the patch is going to be downloaded through wifi???? Both fixes defeated the original issue everyone complained about. Geez, this is the power brains we are working with at Arcade1up. Do you think a manufacturer update via WiFi to the current machines in the future will allow those to bypass the internet connection or the new series of machines being manufactured in the future may address this issue and those with older machines will be stuck?
Hello, thank you very much for the question and for watching. The last response I received from them Is they were currently working on the download to address all current machines to work offline. They still have not given a timeliness as to when that will be, though.

@@JesterTester I having reservations now. The more I look at different TH-cam videos on this the more I’m starting to become not as interested. I’m really disappointed in the small display screen. My iPad has a bigger screen at 12.1 inches. They definitely could have given the consumer a bigger display/playing screen.
Do you think they would actually do an upgrade by improving and releasing a newer version of this arcade? You really don’t see manufacturers doing that to arcade machines. You kinda get what they give you and move on.
@amack8885 The screen size for the slot machine games is fine. Because the slot machine spinning reels look large. It's when you decide to play the other games such as roulette, card games, craps, and the others is when it becomes difficult to see. Also all those other games do not use any of the buttons like the slot machine games do. The other games rely only on the touch screen to make bets, choose numbers on the roulette wheel, pick your solitaire cards etc. It's with those games it becomes very difficult to see the games and play comfortably. Especially if you have large fingers. I have to use a stylus for those games because my fingers usually hit things I don't want to hit. So that definitely is an issue. The screens overall should have been larger.

Finally, revise it somewhat. You still need wifi connection at the very start up of cabinet. But now, after you get it going and download the games, they can be played offline now. So, I guess it's the best outcome they could come up with.

Thanks so much for watching and commenting. Unfortunately, when I first realized this situation, I was not sure if it was a problem with just my unit or if it was on all units. Because no one else had addressed it. So I immediately asked Arcade1up about the issue. They danced around the final answer so long that my window of time to be able to return the machine back to BestBuy had expired. That was another reason why I was furious regarding this issue.
They have stated after the video that they would provide a fix for it. That was in October. We still haven't heard a thing regarding it yet. It's really beyond disappointing at this point.

Switch to comcast . It has dual band modem 2.4/5 . You can hook this to 2.4 and stuff you need fast internet to the 5ghz
Hey, brother. I appreciate you watching. Yes, I do have xfinity. But I do not use their modems. I have my own 6ghz high end modem to run direct set up for everything in the house. Hight speed computer equipment, cameras, etc, but that modems 2.4 ghz signal will not connect to the machine. I have to drop down to the older model 2.4/5 ghz modem and it has to be a specific model modems to work. This does not work on certain 2.4/5 ghz modems
. But, the wifi is not the issue.
The larger issue is the fact that this can not be played offline. Many of the older generation does not have wifi who were interested in this product. My mom was going to get one for Christmas. She is 79 years old. She doesn't have wifi. She thought she could just play the cabinet as it was. So that is the main issue. Arcade1up should have disclosed that info

Hey Peter, I was wondering that also. I presume it all depends on if the pcba card actually has some sort of storage where the programs can be downloaded. There is a USB port on it, and what looks like an SD card slot. I couldn't see it too well. I have to take it apart more. So, the worst case is that they could download a program to a USB storage stick or an SD card. If there is just an ethernet card in the machine, it would only be able to go online to their server that hosts the games. From the letter, they never said they would work on a patch or anything like that. The tone seemed to suggest it is what it is. But I can't be sure. I'm still waiting for additional input from them. I haven't heard from them since.

Dude, sorry to hear this is how this machine functions. I have a feeling that you may not have bought it if you knew about "Always Online" mandatory. I know that if ANY new Arcade1Up machine comes out, this is yet a another question I will ask, "Does it always have to be online." If it does? No Buy!
I haven't bought an Arcade1Up in quite awhile and things like this keep me away. I won't say Arcade1Up has done me dirty always, but they have often enough to make something like this par for the course. Thank you for this Public Service Announcement as I'm sure you just saved someone a bit of money.

If that had been disclosed, we would never have purchased the cabinet for the obvious reason that eventually, it would be unplayable. I also wasn't always disappointed by Arcade1up. But I will definitely say the times there were issues, the manner in which they threw the problems into my lap. Telling me it's now my job to diagnose, report, and repair a new product myself was incredible. What other company does that? If you buy a new Sony TV and there are issues out of the box. Does Sony tell their customers, ok, please open up the back of the TV and check the wires. Do diagnostic tests, etc. They are the only ones who have gotten away with that nonsense.

I think you'd be surprised at my journey with these home arcade companies as far as customer support and having to fix their issues. This is why I purposely added a Customer Support category to my review criteria. AtGames, ArcadeModUp/Game Room Solutions, Dream Home Arcades/Extreme Home Arcades, and iiRcade have equally, if not more at times, been frustrating to work with. In fact, I spent over 4 months with iiRcade to get my expensive Gold Edition cabinet fully working.
I think we can get caught up in the Sales Pitch when it comes to home arcade products. When someone tells us they have a product we can only dream of, it can be easy to chalk it up to, "Finally the solution I've been waiting for!," not really taking into account that reality may differ, and what they claim to have, really isn't what we expected. In other words, I want so much to believe the spiel, because I want my dreams to come true.
Now what Arcade1Up did with the Casinocade, the mandatory online to even function, is a BS business practice no doubt, one that I won't support. I won't be buying any cabinet that has this limitation and I will be asking the question each time I consider something from them now.
It can seem like an expensive mistake, but if something good can come from it, making people aware, that's powerful. That's why I'm on a mission to review all my cabinets, warts and all. I want people to know the good ones and which ones to avoid.

Not many people are without wifi these days. But many older gen that may be attracted to this may not. My Mom for one. She doesn't have wifi. Just basic cable. She never wanted wifi. Many others in her community just use basic cable services also. And I think it's that age bracket this was appealing more for in the first place. But hopefully they do something about it.

Hey Mikey, thanks, brother. We did try to be fair. Honestly, the cabinet is fun for some, and I stand by the positives about the cabinet. But, we suspected this mandatory wifi connection the minute we had the original issue with the modem. I knew then in my mind it wouldn't be able to play offline, but i needed to confirm that with Arcade1up up before i could officially announce it. They ran me around for almost a month just for the answer. So they literally ran my window of time out to be able to return the cabinet to BestBuy. Then, to give me that BS reply was blood boiling. @DeputyVanHalen5150 Oh man, that's serious stuff there. I'm glad all went OK. We never really had many tornadoes here. But lately, they have been showing up more and more. Playing Pacman in a storm......I love it. 👍
@@JesterTester Yeah, well we played after the storm. Luckily our home was spared but the substation here in our town had damage. It took crews about a week to get state routes reopened. We're in Northern Ohio. Speaking of Pacman, my Arcade1up Pacman actually died last year. I took the control deck to this electronic genius nearby who owns an old TV repair shop and he fixed it. He said that he had to re-do some runs within the circuits. I tested the power supply and everything and narrowed it to the control deck. That was beyond what I could handle. $50 and it works again. Arcade1up for ya.
@DeputyVanHalen5150 I am very happy to hear no major damage came upon you, my friend. That was great he was able to repair your control deck for you. I assume he was referring to the encoder board that is in the deck. Because that's the only part the joystick and buttons connect to in the deck. Then, that signal is sent to the Pcba card behind the monitor. He probably found bad connections, or connector soldered points in the encoder board. It was great he could fix it.
I would be livid. Although, I can see you are definitely pissed yourself, and rightfully so. They better come up with something.

I agree completely. The only games that you can comfortably play are the 4 slot machine games. All the other included ga.es like poker, roulette, craps, etc it's very hard to see the numbers and cards.

Just because it requires an active wifi connection doesn't mean it won't work "if Arcade1Up goes down tomorrow or there servers go down". It might be perfectly happy if it can connect to your wifi and get an IP address but can't reach their servers. Unplugging your router from the wall doesn't simulate that. Just sayin'.
Thanks so much for your comment. I understand what you are saying. The issue is that they never disclosed it needed mandatory wifi. Some people, especially Seniors, who would be the target audience of this cabinet. May not, or does not have any internet service at all. Let alone specific bandwidth to connect to. The imperative point is that they should have disclosed the important fact and allowed people to make up their own minds whether it's good for them or not.
