When I got my first cabinet back in 2019 I never realized how easy it was to scratch the plexiglass bezel. There was finger prints and I used my sleeve to try to wipe it and it left scratches! I was so mad haha. So I've been searching for a good product and cloth to clean those without scratching. I'll have to try that plasix out.
Hey Mike, yeah they scratch so easily. My brother house sat for me once and thought he was doing me a favor and cleaned my original MK with windex and paper towels. It was destroyed. You couldn't even see through the plexiglass anymore. There were so many horrible scratches and swirls. Good thing he was my brother. 😆 🤣
Nice video! I've used microfiber cloths on our Arcade1ups from day one. I use a smooth one on the bezels. Try to sweep the dust off right to left using a clean piece of cloth with each sweeping movement. Kind of crazy hearing myself talk about this. People with real arcades don't have to worry about this, but they have a lot of other stuff to deal with I guess. 🤷🏻♂️😁
Every single time I’ve used a microfiber cloth they’ve scratched my plexi bezels. It was until recently I stumbled upon disposable “surfonn disposable cleaning towelettes” & they work flawlessly. I vape so my bezels are always covered in “protective film” lol, but yea “Onn” brand is killer! I’ll try some of your suggestions too
Really, I seriously have never had an issue with microfiber clothes. But, I guess it depends on the brand or something. I also noticed on these bezels that they are sooooo thin. If you put too much pressure on them no matter what you are using, they scratch. I have never dealt with anything that delicate. I will definitely give the disposable ones a try. Even microfiber clothes can scratch the bezel plexiglass covering the screen on the Arcade1ups. Unfortunately, the plexiglass they use is so thin. I always use a light touch on them using them slightly damp, or with product on them, and they never scratch. Too much pressure on the cloth will leave swerl marks and micro scratches behind. Also, remember if you ever launder the microfiber clothes to never use fabric softener in the wash.
