Such a beautiful cabinet! Great job with pointing out the good and YNt bad. The bloopers were definitely worth waiting for. Keep up the great work! 💪🔥 The new gameroom is underway! Getting closer to making that triumph return to the tube of a billion yous but only one of me and you!
Hey brother, I was only thinking about you. It's good to hear you will be back soon. Hope all is well. We have been building a large retro gaming family. My buddy Dan @outruntheneonsun channel, along with myself, @PD7, and @Thebadguymikewerley, have been on live every Wednesday night at 9::00pm est. On Outruntheneonsun channel. AndSo many other channels come on also. If you were ever interested, it would be great to have you part of it. Just a bunch of guys talking retro gaming. No drama or nastiness. Just fun, funny laughs. You're invited anytime, buddy.
@@JesterTesterI just watched your video and seriously it’s made my whole week I couldn’t stop laughing when you said about the black dot in the middle of the screen annoying you whilst playing 😂
@fruitman7773 hahaha, I can emphasize it into words. It was killing me. Haha. I am happy you got a laugh out of it, my friend. Thanks so much for watching. I sincerely appreciate it.
I have had the cabinet only three months. I definitely have not had a problem with the panel display. I hope it's not in my future. Thanks for letting us know.
I definitely would not shy away from it if you want one. But definitely go on the Arcade1up app and get the extended warranty for it. It would be a safe thing to do. Thanks for watching.
Well done review and commentary. Dragon's Lair is a classic. I never get my cab reviews out first. I like buying my A1Ups on sale. If you wait it out you can usualy get some good deals and save some money. I have the Don Bluth Trilogy on my iiRcades but this is a cab I would surely pick up if it goes on sale. Dragon's Lair is a stock game on the iiRcade. If I had the A1Up DL I would do the waterfall mod to the control pannel.
Hey Brad, thanks so much for watching, commenting, and especially sharing. Very kind of you brother. Yes, I did know the iircade did have the series on it. That was going to be my first iircade for DL. But I decided to go with Arcade1up because of the look and the back DMD screen. I mean, I had it on my mame cab. But I just couldn't pass this one up all because of the look of it. It really is a great looking cab. It's great you wait a bit for your cab reviews. I really think it is more helpful than just using a cab as clikbait. I think it's just more helpful for the community that way, right? And yes!!! I would love to do the waterfall mod, my but it's just a bit expensive for me to jump on it. Thanks again so much for your support, my friend.
I can't believe you made this. Three nights ago my number screen started to blink. Almost like the wire was loose. But I checked it and it was secured. It did it a couple of times. Its working ok right now. But now I am concerned if this is what is starting. Thanks so much for the heads up. I will keep an eye on it.
Really, well, I can say I did not have any blinking before it happened. There were actually no signs there was going to be an issue. It just happened all of a sudden. Something definitely burned out in the display. Yes, keep an eye on it. Hopefully, it was only a power drop or surge to the cabinet that made it blink. Thanks so much for commenting.
The sound sync issue, at least on mine, only happens on DL. Space Ace and DLII seem fine. However it's definitely noticeable from the very beginning and only gets worse as the game goes on. I've also experienced screen taring and pixelation on some scenes. They also used what I call a dirty rom. One of the scenes in particular is the magnetic globe room where it's three rights then he sits in the throne which turns around as the lightning follows him out of the room. As he's leaving the room there's what looks like a large hair just to the right of the door. Once Digital Leisure got the rights they went thru and cleaned it up yet Arcade1up somehow used a rom prior which seems odd. As far as going back to the attract screen if you hold the player two button down thru the black screen you will hear a beep and it goes back to the attract screen. It seems like you were letting go too quickly but again this is what I've experienced on mine. The marquee is accurate to the original cab as the original was printed on fabric, stretched and glued on to wood. Sorry for the long post but I grew up on this game and so it also holds a lot of sentimental value for me. Of all the versions I've played I would say that the Replicade is closest to the arcade without the issues.
Hey Chris, I have a question for you. I know in the original DL arcade cab it had separate channels for the sound. The announcer was on the left speaker, and the gameplay sound was on the right. Is it the same on these Arcade1up cabinets. Or did they mix the sounds together to make stero sound. All sounds in both speakers simultaneously. Hope you can help.
@@Thearcadeshack Just turned mine on and listened to the attract mode. The speaking/announcer is definitely favored in the left speaker with all other sound coming from the right. Hope that helps 😁
Thats true Phil. Actually, Dirk really wasn't much of a brain trust. Haha. In all honesty the cabinet is a great one. Even with those other little issues. The DMD screen was a bit nerve wracking. But, I don't think its really a wide spread issue. It would be a great cab to add to an arcade. Thanks so much for everything buddy. You are awesome.
Great review. I too have a Dragon's Lair A1UP cab and yes, there are some issues with it. I've been inquiring within the A1UP community for sometime about possible fixes for it but, there's been nothing from A1UP.
Hello Samantha, Thanks so much for watching. Yes, same here also. I have become very frustrated with Arcade1up and the handling of the issues with this cabinet, along with others as well. After knowing about most of these problems, they just kind of ignored it. It is very disappointing, to say the least. I really appreciate your input and comment. Thanks for supporting.
Jesse. The Dragons Lair cab is a work of art, but I am sorry you had the issues with it. Also to mirror Todd's post, later cab reviews are a great idea for people who wait or have to save up money for a cab.
Hey Matt, its great to hear from you. I really agree, the cabinet is stunning. Top to bottom. Yes, I was thinking about the review thing for a while now. Most other TH-camrs show a cab at the beginning but you never hear from them again. I often wondered how many people had issues with the cabs. Even very minor issues that crop up, should be discussed. Thanks so much for watching and supporting as always. I sincerely appreciate it my friend.
Man , the fact that your friend just happened to have the screen that your machine needed. That's awesome. And I wanted to let you know my appreciation for your waiting to review the arcade 1ups , unlike the other"fortune seekers" out there. Nice
Hello my friend. Thank you so much for watching. Yes, I can not believe how lucky I was with that. I am sure I would still be without it, as I don't believe Arcade1up has any in stock still to supply. Thank you for your kind words and your appreciation. It truly means a lot to me.
Wondering if purchasing a heat sink to toss on the back of that pcb would make a difference. Mine arriving tomorrow and now I’m concerned about overheating.
Hi ,its me again, just about the sound quality/timing issue, i think you should watch RGT85's episode on arcade 1ups the Simpsons cabinet. He had similar issues with the cab.
I was thinking that screen was going to have issues. I don’t own this cab and have not really played this cab in the arcade. Beautiful looking cab, just hate you had this issue. Great idea about a older review time frame. 👍😎💯
Hey buddy, thanks so much for watching. It's funny you said that. At the beginning I was leary about it also. Because it was a new component for Arcade1up. But, it worked so well all these months, I figured all was good. But then that happened. It is a beautiful cabinet. Luckily, it all worked out in the end. Just hope it doesn't do it again.
Unfortunately, what most people don’t realize is that these are LCD displays that conduct a lot of heat over time. The PCB’s have no fan on them and they’re also attached to particle board. I think over maybe the course of 3-5 years people will see burn in o their monitors and or complete failure due to heat issues. What’s also concerning is they just said “Too bad too sad” about their warranties and that a lot of people have these cabs in their garage’s or basements which will see a lot of humidity and heat.
Hey Mikey, yes, I absolutely agree. It has been hest issues for many of these cabs. I constantly check the running temp with a heat thermometer and have seen the Outrun, and pinball machines throttling at high Temps. The other point you brought up.....the too bad, too sad thing. That really kind of rubbed me the wrong way. I thought that choice of words was very unprofessional, to say the least. Thanks so much for stopping in. I sincerely appreciate it.
@@JesterTester You’re a very nice guy. I appreciate the thorough and kind reply. Most people that own these cabs get defensive if I comment on my observations having been in the community for some time and following these products. Do you think the solution is to open the cabs and somehow install some kind of cooling solution? My biggest worry for all these mancave is their location… basements and garages are susceptible to extreme temperatures.
@Mikey Yoon Hey Mikey, I would never get defensive for acknowledging real issues. I will always tell it like it is. That's has always been the point of my channel. I'm not about clickbait, views, subscribers, or monetization. I really just want to help people make an informed decision on purchasing any product. Especially these things. They are very expensive to just throw money away on, right? Also, yes, I absolutely agree with you. I absolutely agree with you with the extra cooling. I installed a larger computer fan in that cab and turned the pcb outward to properly cool it. Since then, under laser temp. It has not throttled since. I also keep my arcade room at 64 degrees. It is always cold in there. I have so many electronics in there that I never want to take any chances of overheating. I think unconditioned spaces can run havoc on any electronics.
Yeah, when I converted my galaga into a multicade I added a PC exhaust fan because well, it had a PC in it. But these monitors and PCBs do create heat, and I may start adding PC fans into all of them.
That particular issue, Arcade 1up, never cared to address. But the issue is only regarding getting the attract screen to come up. As far as being able to play again. That's no problem. You just hit the player one button to coin up, and the game starts again..
I think it is really a good practice to get into. Especially with so many in a room. I mean, I'm a bit of a worry wart, but it's better to be safe than sorry, I guess. Thanks so much for watching, my friend. I sincerely appreciate it.
You're welcome. Enjoy your new Dragons Lair. I'm sure you know, but in case you don't. Make sure and take Arcade1up up on the extended warranty through their new app. It's great extra insurance. Thanks for watching.
@Miguel09z Unfortunately, all games at the end of the game become frozen and never go back to the attract screen for each game. It's really annoying and possibly damaging to the cabinets screen and pcba board if you walk away and leave it frozen there. Thanks for watching.
@mgpmbass3616 Thank you so much for the information. Yes, I am aware of the update. But honestly, I think it is ridiculous that Arcade1up is charging for it to be flashed. Especially since we have been looking for this fix from day one. I wouldn't have minded if they gave us a choice to do it ourselves for free, or if you wanted to have them do it, then they could have charged. But the way they are forcing people to pay for something that should have worked from the beginning is insane. It's utterly ridiculous. I do appreciate you stopping by all. Thanks again.👍
I'm guessing an inverter, or power regulator/capacitor went down on the DMD. Did you ever learn if the DMD uses real, segmented LED elements, or if it's an AMOLED/LCD display of sorts? Loved the outtakes! Been there, when producing a professional DVD. LOL If it wasn't me tripping on a line, sometimes literally, it was external, offset noise from trains, helicopters, gunshots, sirens, dogs barking, you name. Seemed I could only go on set between 1:30, and 2:30 in the morning. LOL Thanks for sharing this.
Hi Thomas, I did want to open it up and check things out. I contacted Arcade 1up and asked them if they would like me to look into it to see if a cap burned. Or another issue was present. I let them know I do have an electronic and electrical background. They didn't want me to and asked if I could just send it back to them for their manufacturer to look at it. Which I did. From looking at it, it seems to be an AMOLED/LCD display. It definitely was not a segmented display or dot matrix of any kind. Yes, as far as the outtakes, you definitely understand the issues. And you know, once you get into a laugh issue. It is very hard to shake it. The other issue was that my daughter happened to be filming and editing that video. We are a silly team together. She constantly makes me laugh while she is filming, which adds to the slapstick atmosphere. But we have fun doing it. Thanks so much for always supporting my friend. I really appreciate it.
@@JesterTester Ah, glad to hear the unit is being looked at by A1up. You're lucky to have family to help as PAs on set. I had to do all the shoots, wearing every hat in the video production, and still had enough outtake footage to fill several DVDs. LOL ;)
Ugh man I hate hearing stuff like that. But that's awesome you knew someone who had the exact part you needed. What are the odds huh?? I wonder if this is a time where using the new app and registering your cabinet and getting the extended 180 day warranty would come into play?
Yeah Mike. I was so incredibly lucky he had the part. I am not sure about the extended warranty. I think that is only going to apply when you buy a new cabinet. This is 8 months and change. I doubt they would extend it at this point. I just hope no one else will have this issue.
@@JesterTester ohh I was unclear as to what they exactly meant. I thought they were giving the warranty on every cabinet you already owned as long as it wasn't older than 5 years.
@@The_Bad_Guy. You know. I honestly don't know exactly what they meant. I hope they clarify that part a bit. I assumed it was for newly purchased cabinets. I dont think they are attaching 3 months onto a cabinet say 2 years old or 8 months. Maybe I'm wrong. It would be awesome if they did.
Nice video and love seeing reviews a few months after owning the product. Plus it shows you've really played and enjoy your cabinet to know the ins and outs. Sucks to hear about the alpha Numeric Display going out 😢. Think you should probably still submit a ticket to see if they have parts, curious if the community can start to document how much parts are.
Thanks so much I appreciate you watching buddy. Actually I did put in a ticket at first. But I canceled it immediately after my friend gave me the display. I didn't want to take a part that someone else could possibly use. So I never got a reply from Arcade1up telling me what they would have done.
Both of my parents worked in a Showbiz Pizza Place Arcade / Restaurant when I was a kid, and instead of getting a babysitter they would often bring me to work and give me a bunch of tokens to keep me busy while they worked (Dad was an engineer since he knew a little bit about electronics, and mom slung pizzas in the kitchen) . I remember when this came out and it was a big deal (Space Ace soon Followed). I was probably 6-7 at the time. I didn't play much since it took 2 quarters unlike the other games didn't accept tokens for some reason, but it was fun to watch others play. I caught on pretty quick that the amazing graphics came at the cost of the game having limited gameplay / interactivity, but it was still lots of fun to watch. The Dragon's Lair / Space Ace trilogy was on sale for Nintendo Switch was on sale a few days ago and I picked it up out of nostalgia. If you look up "quarter muncher" in the dictionary, I'm pretty sure you'll see a picture of an original Dragon's Lair arcade machine.
That is an awesome story. It's funny how vivid we remember the first time we had seen Dragons Lair. I told a similar story on a stream a few months ago. I was on vacation down the shore on the board walk. In the arcade, there was a big stage set up with those red velvet ropes, like you would see in a movie theatre. The velvet ropes were there to control the lines. At the beginning of the velvet ropes was a huge poster like you would see in the movie theater. It said, "Coming Friday Dragons Lair." So they set this whole thing up like a big event. So on Friday, I went back to that arcade. On the stage was the Dragons Lair Cabinet. And everyone stood on the line in the ropes. I remember thinking, this is going to take so long to go through this line and play. But the people dropped so fast because the game was ridiculously hard. The line moved very quickly. That was my first memory of Dragons Lair. 50 cents to play for 10 seconds. Haha.
Have u noticed that the introduction to the boulders scene is missing, along with the jump the gap, in the electric knight floor scene, whn he goes thru the tunnel.,why is this so,any answers?
Hey Darren, thanks so much for the comment. To be honest, no, I did not notice those. Now I will have to pay attention to those screens also. Thanks so much for letting me and others know.
What is the intro to the boulder scene? The black knight scene and jumping the gap after defeating the black knight, this is not in the A1UP version because the A1UP version is arcade correct. That gap jump after defeating the black knight was not played in the original arcade ROM when the game was in the arcade. That scene, along with other scenes like the drawbridge scene, were on some of the early home console versions of the game because those scenes are actually on the original Dragon's Lair laserdisc that was used in the original arcade machines, but the original Dragon's Lair ROMs used in the arcade version, didn't play those scenes. The original arcade version starts with Dirk running through the gates of the castle, not going across the drawbridge and fighting the tentacles. So the Arcade1Up version is actually close to arcade accurate. The early home console and PC versions by Readysoft back in the day were nice, but they weren't arcade accurate as they not only contained scenes not in the original arcade game, but the early home versions also played all the scenes in a specific order, and you played the same board you died on over and over until you passed it, and didn't make you do most rooms in reverse. The original arcade version was wayyy harder as you had to do 99% of the rooms in reverse as well and the rooms aren't played in a specific order and when you die on a board in the original arcade version, you won't see any boards you die on again until you pass all other boards in the game. The boards you died on are saved for you to try again at the very end before you can enter the Dragon's Lair. The original arcade version also had a setting where if you cleared 4 or 5 rooms in a row without dying, it got harder as rooms after that would trim off the fiirst second or two of a room so that as soon as the next room loaded, you had to make your first move almost as soon as the room loads up. The early home console versions didn't do that. They would always show the entire footage of a room, so you always had a few seconds to know exactly what was coming. That wasn't the case.in the arcade version as the better you got, the harder the game got and having to make moves instantly when a room loaded added such a level of nervousness and jump scares that never got properly replicated in the early home versions, which for newbies who didn't experience it in the arcade, them experiencing it at home first I believe took away a lot of things that made those of us who grew up playing it in the arcade, love it so much. It really did provide the first jump scares in gaming and was the first to cost 50 cents so it being much harder in the arcade, got you that much more nervous while playing.
Dumb question - we just got the game. In the video beginning it’s on a “loop”. How do you get out of that so you can actually play? Thank you in advance…
Hello, thanks so much for watching. All you have to do is hit the player one button 3 times. The first press is to get out of the loop. Then the next 2 presses simulate putting 2 quarters in as the game originally cost 50 cents to play. Hope that helps. Let me know if you need any more help. Enjoy your game.
Hello Nicole, I just wanted to let you know that I sent you guys an email with a private video link showing how to get past the attract screen and coin up to play. Let me know if you received the email and how you make out with it.
They'll never update it. They'll give you the typical p.r. responce of "were aware of this issue and are looking into it" and that it. They did the same thnig with the horrible audio on terminator 2. There was another cab (cant remember with one) That they said would be patched and was not.
I agree completely. They have no intention of addressing this issue and many of the others. They have proven now that they just move on and release new cabinets and leave you holding the bag. Thanks so much for watching, supporting, and commenting. I really appreciate it.
Unfortunately I wouldn't trust those DMD screens at all. The DMD's on the A1Up Pinball tables were blowing pixels after a few months of use. Not a big secret that A1Up uses the cheapest parts possible and then tries to charge outrageously high prices for cabs.
Yes, I absolutely agree. I actually had my doubts from the very beginning regarding that DMD screen. One because Arcade1up parts are notorious for failure. But also because it was a part that never had been used before. It is a different one from the pinball machines. Just hope this one lasts. Time will tell. Thanks for stopping in. I appreciate your comments and input.
Actually, no, it doesn't. And that's another issue I meant to discuss. In Dragons Lair 2, the written promps are on the screen. Now, in the original that was a dipswitch setting if you wanted the written prompts on it. But, when I played back in the day. Those settings were always off. You just went by the light prompts. I really wish they could have given the option to turn them off.
I believe that Arcade 1up version of the game is the same for the Replicade game 1/6 th scale . I have the same issue. But I did try with setting the settings to the original and having only 3 Dirk’s and letting him die and then the attract mode came on after.! Give that a try..!!
Hey Tim, thanks so much for the suggestion. I actually do have the Dirks set for 5. So I will definitely give it a try and set it to 3. Thank you for watching.
I had to replace the PCB on my Dragon's Lair. Dragon's Lair has a huge heatsink, I now keep the PCB box open with a usb fan blowing on the PCB. Your PCB is baking in that confined box!😢
Thank you so much for your comment. It's funny you just said this. I have told many that most of my cabs, especially the ones that run tiny little fans in them. I open them up and reverse the pcb box outward and put a larger computer fan blowing on them. Because I check them constantly with a laser thermometer and have sewn many of them throttling at high temperature. I really appreciate your input and suggestions my friend.
Sorry that this happened to you. Glad that your buddy had that part, hope the new dmd screen holds up. What a crock though. What did Arcade1up say to you when you sent the pics or video to them? Good video 👍🏻
Hey buddy, thanks so much for watching. I actually canceled the ticket. Because I didn't want them to send a part that someone else could possibly use. Yes, I hope it holds up also. Keeping my fingers crossed. Thanks for always supporting. I sincerely appreciate it.
Hello my friend. I actually did do that. Arcade1up requested I send it back to them for analysis. They paid to have it shipped back. Whether they do it or not, we will never know. I just hope it was one faulty unit. Which it definitely seems to be, as nobody has said it happened to them. Thanks so much for your comment and for watching.
Good review. Def got me to not buy this cabinet that ive been wishing over 30 years for. The audio sync problem is the deal breaker for me. Ive watched 5 reviews on this cabinet and they all mention the audio sync issue.
Hello Jake, Thank you very much for watching. Yes, unfortunately, the audio sync is present on the later stages. If there is something I can say positive is, the sync is very minor and would only be noticed by someone extremely familiar with the game. Other than that, it does look and play extremely well. I would recommend it if you ever see it for a great discount. But, definitely not full priced.
So the sync issue happened on the (now defunct) iiRcade cabinet as well. SOME have stated it actually happened on the original arcade cabinet as well. It only lasts about 5 seconds, so really, don't let that stop you. I've ordered one, however, I hate A1U's defective parts policy.
I dont like the sound of that. I have had the cabinet just as long as yours. I haven't had the DMD problem. I hope it stays that way. The end was funny as hell.
@Ruby Jones Yes, I remember well. Actually, my dad had aquired the very first prototype Pioneer LD machine before it went into production for the home market.
That is actually so true. True to life, arcade1up delivered! I still have mine in the box. Haven't even assembled it yet. Debating it because the audio synch is a deal breaker. Ofc, Arcade1up said they would offer no solution. So they lost a customer here. One cab and I'm out. I've used daphne for years. Sad....
@sterlingsmith1969 I agree with you completely with Arcade1ups' response to these issues. Even the annoying freezing on the end screen and not going back to the attract is extremely disappointing. Arcade1up just turned their backs to these issues and blatantly refused to address them. A simple patch would have solved every issue.
I completely understand. Knock wood right. I hope it doesn't happen to you either, my friend. But honestly, I don't think it's a widespread thing. I have spoken to many now, and all have said it didn't happen to them. So I think you can rest easy. Thanks so much for letting us know. Very appreciated.
@Clark Pace Unfortunately, Clark, that is an issue that I know is widespread. It has happened to many. Thank goodness for the GRS replacement. It's a way better option anyway. Sorry it happened to you also. But you will have a better experience with the upgrade, I'm sure. Thanks so much for letting the community know. Much appreciated, my friend.
I would probably NEVER buy an Arcade 1Up until they come with Video Filters. All the games look utterly terrible without scanlines to emulate the original look of CRT monitors.
I definitely agree. The Outrun cabinet and the Star Wars cabinet has the options for scan lines. It looks so much better than the others with the jagged sprites. Thanks for your comments and support my friend. 👍
Deleted Dragons Lair from my iiRcade and never looked back. Hated it in the 80's and still do. Worst video game ever. Glad u got your cab back up though.
I can understand that. Many people disliked that game. The reason I like it is not so much for the game. But I have a fond nostalgic memory of my Dad with this game. So that's why I have it. I am happy it's back up. Thanks so much for watching, brother. I really appreciate it.
@patientmental875 Yes, it does bother me also. Unfortunately, Arcade1up doesn't care about it. What can you do I guess. Just another one of many balls Arcade1up has dropped. Thanks for watching and commenting. I appreciate it.
@@JesterTester Cant you hook the Daphne emulator up to the monitor? That will give you the most accurate arcade experience plus all the great extras & you will be able to use any res files & play all the classic laserdisc games. Thats what I would do if I got swindled on this cabinet. I played this for quite awhile at a local game shop because I was considering buying one & made it to the end on easy mode only because im very familiar with the original & knew the audio cues but it was still a very horrible disaster. Impossible to play it on hard mode like it was intended to be. If you just want it for a showroom piece then thats your business but it being so unplayable would bother me
@patientmental875 Yes, that would be great. Right beside it, I have a retropie setup that plays all the laser games anyway from mame. They work perfectly. I just wouldn't know if I could get the extra led score panel to work with the Arcade 1up. Dragons Lair. That would be perfect if I could. I will have to look into it. I really wish they could have easily put out a patch for the cabinet. I was infuriated when I heard they weren't going to fix it.

"Review after holding onto this for a few months." Yesssss!

I didn't have any problems with my number panel. Or the steel particle. But I do have all the other issues.
I am glad to hear you didn't have the issue. Yes unfortunately the other issues are across the board. Thanks for watching and supporting.
@@chrisburns1973 Then they did do it like the original.. Thank you.
Maybe Daphne was Dirks only option, love the bloopers Jesse great video I’m getting FOMO on this cab
It’s hard to NOT say that I love and appreciate you every time I comment lol. Awesome video as always big man.
Right back at you brother.
I would say the lag is due to the processer doesn't have enough memory that could also be the reason why it gets stuck on the insert coin screen.
I guess it couldn't hurt. Any extra cooling is definitely beneficial.
Hi ,its me again, just about the sound quality/timing issue, i think you should watch RGT85's episode on arcade 1ups the Simpsons cabinet. He had similar issues with the cab.
Thank you so much for the info. I will definitely check it out. 👍
@@mattthearcadeguy It's definitely a great idea. I am doing that now myself in the pinball machines. Thanks so much for watching .
Has the issue @ 16:48, been resolved? I am interested in getting the machine, but don't want to have to mess with it just to be able to play again.
That particular issue, Arcade 1up, never cared to address. But the issue is only regarding getting the attract screen to come up. As far as being able to play again. That's no problem. You just hit the player one button to coin up, and the game starts again..
@@JesterTester okay, thanks for clearing things up for me. 👍
I agree on the power. I have all mine running on like 2 circuits and I just shut the breakers when not in use.
I think it is really a good practice to get into. Especially with so many in a room. I mean, I'm a bit of a worry wart, but it's better to be safe than sorry, I guess.
Thanks so much for watching, my friend. I sincerely appreciate it.
Man, sorry this happened to you. I just got this cab 3 weeks ago. The attract screen issue annoys me also. Great content. Thanks for it.
You're welcome. Enjoy your new Dragons Lair. I'm sure you know, but in case you don't. Make sure and take Arcade1up up on the extended warranty through their new app. It's great extra insurance. Thanks for watching.
@@JesterTester Thank you.
The attract screen issue, is it only on DL or is it also on DLII and Space Ace?
@Miguel09z Unfortunately, all games at the end of the game become frozen and never go back to the attract screen for each game. It's really annoying and possibly damaging to the cabinets screen and pcba board if you walk away and leave it frozen there. Thanks for watching.
A1U finally addressed the sync problem with an update. However, they're charging $40.00 to fix their problem .
LOL ;)
@@ThomasGrillo That's too funny.
Does the cabinet have settings to turn on or off prompts during gameplay for any of the games?
Nice job on this video! My scoreboard has not. I sure hope it doesn't in the future 😬
Thanks for watching brother. I am happy to hear yours has not had these issues. Knock wood, it stays that way.
Wow, that would be a scary situation. I only have a few of the older cabinets. I haven't purchased a newer one. Hope it doesn't happen again.
I hope so too!
You should send the DMD back to the manufacturer. Just incase it happens again
Knock wood. I hope you never have the issue either. Thanks for stopping by.
Yhats just part of the experience. Dragon's lair Always broke down in the arcade. Always dude
Haha, that's so true. Don't I know it. I worked in an arcade when I was a teen. That machine was carted in and out more times than I could count.
Hay jester remember how much that LD player weighed it was crazy heavy for what it was!
Dirk Diggler did video games!?
😂👍
I never like to to say it never happened to me because as soon as I do? You know what happens. I am glad for you, but that is my fear.
@@JesterTester My tron spinner went out. Lucky GRS had a replacement, a part light this 3rd party I don't think will ever be available in mass

@@JesterTester it was the first 50¢ arcade cabinet. and I always died on that stupid drawbridge. two tries for a buck!
