Eddie, you need to install ejectable seats that with a push of a button sends these socially unacceptable passengers out on a unforgettable flight without a parachute ..
There should be fines put on these passengers where they gotta pay extra for engaging in inappropriate/irresponsible behavior. That'll make them shut up and ride or shut up and walk. But these damn corporate companies don't care about you as the customer service, only their bottom dollar.
First of all, I’m so sorry you’ve had these negative experiences. You seem like a decent , unassuming guy. I take Ubers and Lyfts all the time. I’m always respectful to all drivers. And I can honestly say that I’ve never called anyone “Uber or Lyft”. That is just so ignorant. know you guys have to put up with a whole lot. I don't know where you drive, but I drive in a College town, and rides like this are a nightly occurrence. Thinking those girls are highschoolers is kind of jumping the gun too. You asked if they were down for a "senior week". All they said was that they have a few more years for that. If they are college freshmen, then they still have a few more years until they are seniors. These girls may be underage for drinking, but they are most likely at least over 18. Remember to 18, 19, 20 year olds, a few years is a long time to them. Hell, 25 is "Old" to them as well! I also drive an XL vehicle, and I still have people trying to cram 8, 9 people into my car! Especially if the weather is shitty. Those girls wouldn't have bothered me. I find it kind of entertaining watching the shenanigans of drunk college students. The college students I experience are usually rowdy, but still respectful. It's usually the grown-ass drunks that are more of an issue to me.

Kids nowadays do not know what the lever is for because they are more often than not used to a button for activating the parking brake and if she mistakenly pulled that trying to grab the charger that could’ve resulted in many many problems. Obviously, not the most important thing for me to put out there, but just food for thought if anybody is in a similar situation.

There have been a few times that I’ve driven a minor without realizing it until either almost to the drop off zone or in the middle of giving them a ride and at that point…you’re kind of at a rock and a hard place whether you kick them out or just continue taking them. Most of them look like they could possibly be 18… But after having a conversation with them you realize that they’re still in high school and probably only 16 or 17. It sucks because you literally have no info and sometimes you’re picking up some girl And the name on the account that you’re picking up has a dude‘s name on it. It’s so frustrating. That and Uber doesn’t have pictures of the people you’re supposed to pick up. I know they offer to let the driver know if you’re picking up a person and to be able to add it onto the account… But 100% of the time… Nobody does that. Very rarely does somebody message me saying that I’m picking up their friend but that it’s on their account. That they are giving a ride to. Sometimes it’s literally under somebody else’s name and some Rando person is getting in the car that it isn’t even the account holder of. It’s a liability honestly. We even had a homeless shelter that FEMA was paying for locally, until it was closed down a few months ago and they would request rides to drive people to different shelters or a hospital or wherever and it would be under an umbrella name and they wouldn’t even give the name of the person I was driving who was a homeless person. That to me is kind of unsafe. I hate to say that because it sounds super Judgey… But a lot of homeless people are addicts or mentally unstable and to not even give me their name seems like a huge liability. There was one night our community service patrol…which is kind of like a local police department group but not quite the police…picked up a drunk dude on the side of the road and called him an Uber and put him in my car and he was completely belligerently drunk and I had no idea what his name was and he didn’t have a key to his house and he kept telling me to go to all kinds of different places and I almost dropped his ass off on the side of the road cause I didn’t know where the fuck I was supposed to take him to (sorry for the huge run on sentence there). Girl. First things first, you really should read up on UBER'S policies, both for drivers, account holder's AND riders. But basically to sum it up, you don't have to tolerate any bullshit as a driver. Riders seem to forget that just because you are performing a service, it doesnt mean you are enslaved to do whatever they demand of you. Which leads to your next step. @@blakesking6615 it isn't about legality of giving them a ride. It is the LIABILITY of it. An unaccompanied minor can get you into a lot of trouble. You take full responsibility for their safely and livelihood while they are under your care. This includes not dropping them off in a bad place (think trafficked minors). If you get into an accident, whether or not it is your fault, you are liable for injuries, both mental and physical. They can not enter into a contract with you as a minor and therefore are not responsible for anything that happens in or to your vehicle. Even if they are the ones causing it. If a drunk young girl starts flashing people out the window of your Uber, and police pull you over for it, you are responsible. Most cases, I would venture 99% are going to go without any problems. But because I can't control other drivers and I can not predict if some drunk will run a red light and smash into my car, I am uncomfortable with taking unaccompanied minors in my car as an Uber driver. There is a reason that this is a valid excuse for canceling a ride in the app. Some states absolutely do make this illegal btw, just yours may not. AND, Uber has it written in their policy. So, no matter what the law says for your state, Uber does not allow drivers to knowingly accept unaccompanied minors as riders. This makes it possible for Uber to sue you even if it is not considered illegal in your state.
These teens looking like they 20 when theyre really 15. They get away with riding around.. But its your responsibility to stop guessing people based off looks and start asking if theyre above 18.
what is the liability of an older teenager, who is nearly an adult, riding in an uber??? if i’m old enough to vote in primaries and drive a car myself, i should be old enough to not be a liability to ubers.
Middle/ high school teacher here of 26 years. " Ladies, you must try and hold it together for this ride. Do not touch me at all or I will pull over and let you out. I need to safely transport my passengers. If you interfere with that I will be pulling over and letting you out. This is your warning". Then its up to them.
I just wanna say how freaking cool it is that your camera pics up the iphone face ID. Like, all those little dots when the kids open their phones are scanning their face at lightning speed... amazing (8:02)
You said it best at the end which is sad… Uber needs to actually try do fix things, or else a company with better morals will take advantage of your downfall.
Most illegal thing I done in an uber was take my open beer can from the bar inside and continue drinking it on the way. The uber was chill as ice for that LMAO
I've been a Lyft driver for all of four months. Although all my rides have been far from perfect, I've not experienced anything severe. But then, I drive during the daylight hours and will not pick up drunks. However, I did have one black guy reach up between my bucket seats for my phone charger. He then discovered it didn't fit his phone and I told him that was inappropriate. He apologized. I had one guy turn on music to drown out my directions and I asked him politely to turn it down so I could hear. He turned if off, gave me a dirty look and turned it back on louder. Since I was nearly to his house, I didn't put him out, so he was fortunate. Lyft asked if I would take him again, and I said no on the grounds of other safety issues. He's been the only one I said no to. He also turned on my rear dome light and my next passenger noticed it and asked to turn it off. I thanked her. Other than that, the one pet peeve I have is strong perfume. I think I'm allergic to strong perfumes. I've learned to overlook that. I appreciate your videos to give me additional problems to look out for, since I'm retired and need the extra money. Keep up the good work.
Even though he’s technically employed he still has the right to remove himself from any situations that make him feel uncomfortable or upset I know that those girls were probably intoxicated but they still should’ve been more respectful
Intoxication is never an excuse, plus, they're high school kids, shouldn't even be drinking, I would've called the cops on them if I knew their age and smelled alcohol. Parents should know better than to allow their kids to drink underage. And people who drink need to be more responsible. There needs to be more punishments surrounding drinking alcohol to make people more responsible. I do not have tolerance for drunk idiots.
@@Jake38nine yeah exactly it frustrates me that the legal system gives leniency to people who commit crimes under the influence of alcohol and drugs It should be the same level of punishments regardless
@brokenman4668 Yeup. Life in prison or the D penalty if you kill someone while drunk driving. That should be enough punishment to scare people into making better choices. Being drunk does not excuse your actions because you're aware of your decision to drink alcohol or consume any drug ahead of time, so if you don't have precautions set up way in advance before you consume, then you should NOT be drinking/smoking, ect... People will call me lame and what not for pushing responsibility on them, but I'll lmao when they go to prison and I'm a free man. LOL. I have zero sympathy for people who irresponsible with their choices that can affect other lives. I did not consent to drive with your drunk ass driving on the road, so stay off the freaking road while drunk or don't drink at all.
Uber really need to verify their riders. I recently started and this has been one of the biggest issues but thankfully I haven’t had any too odd experiences. 🤞 if it gets really bad I pretend to not understand English and being brown helps😂😂

I am only 17 (turning 18 in a month) but I agree on the part where Uber should let you see who you’re driving. I’ve been taking Lyft ever since I was 15.. my Lyft drivers were cool. In an odd way I felt safe.. even if it was a dude.

My mom has this exact camera and it is perfect for any rideshare driver bc its simple and affordable plus it has clear recordings of video&voice. But if the full amount is too much at this time, there's another way to get this camera into your vehicle®istered w/UBER within a couple days by paying for it through interest free installments of your own choosing through the KLARNA app(I usually did 4 payments, paying biweekly. But there's other options to choose from)
www.walmart.com/ip/Crosstour-Dash-Cam-GPS-Dual-Camera-1080P-Front-720P-Inside-Car-Cam-2-4-Screen-IR-Super-Night-Vision-Parking-Mode-Loop-Recording-G-Sensor/815007870?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=101066261&&adid=22222222228000000000&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=m&wl3=42423897272&wl4=aud-1651068665266:pla-51320962143&wl5=9029973&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=377872453&wl11=online&wl12=815007870_101066261&veh=sem&gclid=CjwKCAjwkaSaBhA4EiwALBgQaCH5mwZEOb6p_hGkb4DAr-gembGt-NHj_kpCUIUKEqSEqg8xFzcAWBoCuOcQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
Get this shipped ASAP to you&you can register it with UBER that same day(UBER can get it approved&inform riders of its presence in less than 30minutes)and it will protect your ratings next time you cancel a ride **just make sure you immediately inform UBER why you chose to cancel that particular ride**
You don't have to do anything you're uncomfortable with, especially if it's against UBER policies to begin with and even more so if the rider tries to give you a hard time about your decision.
You are allowed to pick up minors lol. I ubered everywhere from 14-17
@@blakesking6615 it isn't about legality of giving them a ride.
NOT THE ME TOO REPELLER LMAOOO I’m subscribing for that
Girl in the front and the guy sitting in the back need better friends. How embarrassing.
man this makes me feel less bad about sitting in total silence LOL
I just wanna say how freaking cool it is that your camera pics up the iphone face ID. Like, all those little dots when the kids open their phones are scanning their face at lightning speed... amazing (8:02)
Those kids have absent fathers. No way 15 year olds should be getting wasted at house parties.
You said it best at the end which is sad… Uber needs to actually try do fix things, or else a company with better morals will take advantage of your downfall.
It's official: Eddie is ashamed of his age
Liked and subscribed for the "me too repeller 5000" 2:50 😂
How is it humanly possible to have a complete lack of self awareness?! I just can’t make my brain understand it.
2:51 ME TOO REPELLER 5000 IM CHOKING 💀💀💀💀💀
That Annoying "UbEr RiDeR" 💀💀💀
You did good Eddie. We love you
I reckon you deserve a medal. I cringe thinking back to my teenage years and acting like that.
Yea that’s sad most teenagers aren’t that disrespectful
Please teach your children to respect adults
@@lethalbeauties6182do you mean respectful?
Even though he’s technically employed he still has the right to remove himself from any situations that make him feel uncomfortable or upset
I know that those girls were probably intoxicated but they still should’ve been more respectful
@@Jake38nine yeah exactly it frustrates me that the legal system gives leniency to people who commit crimes under the influence of alcohol and drugs
It should be the same level of punishments regardless
@@Jake38nine I think the death penalty is a bit much for vehicular manslaughter while under the influence but I see your point
Hey Uber, you ever help those girls in their front door 🤣?
8:57 ''It's all good, it's all good."
Proceeds to make a whole video
If ur gonna ask me to break the law then atleast try to bribe me with some cold hard cash💪🤣
Man i love pure honesty💯
I subbed just bc of how you talk and present your stories. World needs more of this.
Uber really need to verify their riders. I recently started and this has been one of the biggest issues but thankfully I haven’t had any too odd experiences. 🤞 if it gets really bad I pretend to not understand English and being brown helps😂😂
This is why I just stick to Uber eats. My goal is to NOT see people.
I had this happen to me when I drove for Uber...they actually admitted to me during the ride that they were teenagers, when I dropped them off they snuck around the house and climbed thru a basment window...as soon as I dropped them off I called Uber and reported it,
If they admitted to being teens and drinking, I would've called the cops as well. The parents should know better too.
@@Jake38ninelol that’s funny but I guess it’s just the difference of me being German and not American
ruining other kids fun cause you were left out 😁@@Jake38nine
@@Jake38nine Idk why yall actin like that.Im not even a teen and I know right from wrong without having my parents telling me.Teens who act like that are just born stupid

You have the patience of a saint….I couldn’t AT ALL!!
I've done almost 11,000 trips in Toronto and Vancouver. I'm proud to say I've only ever had 2 even remotely rude riders. Canada still got it!
Im crap at math so how in the world do you have 11000 trips? That’s insane lol. You’re on the grind for sure

Cool story bro.
In Toronto? How haven't you found more rude people lol

I appreciate your videos and love of Billy Madison, Eddie. You're a class act!
Its called clown caring. Remember the old cartoons where the small car stops and 100’s of clowns get out of the car.
tbh i found that "ubie" pretty amusing, because it's a combination of Eddie and Uber kinda.
I could never be an uber driver. I’d make a sign for the back of my seat “shut the fuck up and just sit back, I know what too do”
Almost got to smell what the rock was cooking got me Fr 😂
Everyone, especially men in service positions to women, needs a "Me Too repellant 5000" 😂
The dazed and confused scenes😂. Great movie Eddie!!
At least the girl in the front and the guy in the back were trying to keep the other 2 in line

long ass coffe cup you got there
No yelling on the bus!
I am only 17 (turning 18 in a month) but I agree on the part where Uber should let you see who you’re driving. I’ve been taking Lyft ever since I was 15.. my Lyft drivers were cool. In an odd way I felt safe.. even if it was a dude.
Dilf lover? Jesus Christ. Tell me you had no dad, without telling me you had no dad.
Honestly, it should at least show the age of the person you're picking up and driving so you can cancel it before you even arrive. Save gas that way.
@@TheReaper42069 you got a problem? it’s not a bad thing to like older men. It’s my preference and my type. 😐

"My wallet . steering wheel and my balls" This kills me lol
The “Me Too repeller!” 😂😂😂
Ok but why is this guy also holding a comically large coffee cup while driving ?
That girl isn't being annoying, she's a little highschool bully.
I'm a young 20 years old man & in college. I'm introvert btw. 1 time, my car just suddenly broke so I took an uber ride & there's this 1 uber driver asked me if I have a gf & I said no, then what a bf again i said no. With that face u r single? Then he keeps murmuring and singing. Is that normal to ask private question?
