I am eventually going to get the zombie tools D'capitan companion (it is kinda my "grail" short sword), it will be my first Zombie tools purchase, this seems amazing too though!
do you know what the perfect comparison would be? doomsday katana vs some zombie tools sword such as the apokatana or the Deuce lll, for me 3 of the most indestructible swords made in the USA

I would say Yes.. As I'm pretty sure Zombie tools Maintains strict quality control on all their weapons and all are made to the same high ,tough standards..Thats I'm guessing. I have the Split spear as well and it's as tough..J

I agree, way too fast. Other than that, good content. Would like a close up of the blade edge and fittings, in focus, as well as thrusting tests, as it does have a defined tip. Just food for thought but overall, good video 👍
You really can't go wrong either way..I respect ZT and I'm very confident in my Doomsday line..I have made and designed several weapons and swords used in films for many years... Designing now for several sword companies.. More in the works 🙂.. So which ever you pick I'm sure you will be happy..I stand behind my designs and work hard on each to make sure the are the best they can be..Jason W

I originally saw the tactical ko katana a while ago but didn't have the money at the time, but now I've seen the Apocalypse line and they look great. Eventually I'll probably have a few of yours and a ZT or two.
@@samnottheotherone4363very cool!! When I work on designs..It can take several prototypes and some times re working a design 30 times to get it right..I work hard make a great balance point so it feels good in the hand and use..Just came out with the Doomsday mechete also..Check it out..J

Even Magnacut tempered to a lower hardness (and thus higher toughness) would take damage in the sorts of tests that you put this beast through.

I didn’t get the Deuce, but I did get the Apokatana, Zakasushi, and the Reaver Cleaver. Can’t wait for them to get here.

Any idea of the Apokatana is full tang? I’m indecisive between that and the D’Capitan. If the katana is full tang Ill probably go for that.
