When my son died a few years ago I started collecting butterfly brooches. He has become a butterfly instead of a caterpillar! I now know what I can do with the many many pieces ! I can’t wait to begin my butterfly heart in memory of Jon Keith ! Love, Jon’s Mom !

It’s gorgeous. I was very close to my grandmother and I have a few pieces of her jewelry. My mom passed away 3 years ago and I have a few of her pieces too. Thanks to you now I know what to do with them. Your little girl is adorable 😍.

I did something with my mother’s pins for my daughter. I had a lotus flower board made and put the pins on that. I also had the Hand symbol in yoga made for my pins!!! I think it is a precious gift that will end up eventually in a thrift store but I won’t know about it lol

Beautiful heart. My Grandpa did not let us have any of her jewelry. He had an auction and sold everything in the house. I used to go in my grandma's drawer and look at the jewelry and I thought it was diamonds and rubies but it was just costume but I loved looking in that drawer when I was a little girl. I am so glad that you got to have some of your grandma's jewelry because when they go what do you have to hold on to except memories. She died of a disease called Myasthenia gravis when I was 11. The hospital made an exception because back then you had to be 16 to visit so I got to see her before she passed. I still miss her even today.❤
It's really special for me to be able to have some of her things. No matter how much time passes it always seems like it wasn't that long ago.

OMG! I have a granddaughter who is now 8! I remember when she was that size! Enjoy every moment because they grow up so fast! I loved your jewelry and message board video. I am a cancer survivor who needs a hobby, and I have a ton of my grandmother, mother and Aunts jewelry taking up drawers and boxes in my house! Can’t wait to try this!

when I was young I didn't care about anything old or family. As they get older they will change and want your old stuff, believe me. Its an age thing not a "young people these days" thing. So save your stuff for the young ones so tthere when they become you :)

What I've always wanted to do is a 3D Christmas tree with old jewelry. Those of you in SCal might be familiar with Roger's Gardens. There was an artist whose work with vintage jewelry was sold there, and she made the most exquisite jeweled Christmas trees. (Her work may still be there, but I haven't been for 7+ years, hence the past tense.) Of course, I wouldn't expect an outcome similar to a trained artist, but I'd still like to try with some of my sentimental pieces.

I like the jewelry idea, because you always have pieces of jewelry that come off from something you currently own. I have an extensive jewelry collection. I am thinking of using expensive pieces to display and make a tree. I also think anything old or new would be beautiful. I loved your jewelry frame as well.
