Same here, i watch replays the same way Arto does, mad clicking all over the place to check everything, so i appreciate that he clicks and switches screens alot to give us the complete information of whats actually happening.
Wow, a SC1 cast, with great commentary to understand the game for someone who played the game decades ago and has no idea about the current meta? Didn't know I needed that. Loved it.
Oh my gosh complete flashbacks to that Nada game. He was *way* too slow with the nuke though. If the opponent already has 8 ultras out, there's little point to then kill the sunkens. When Nada did it, his nuke was launched before any of the ultras even hatched. GGs
artosis, i dont want you to change style. I want you to drag select, i want you to look everywhere. You constantly playing is why your content is good. Insight, knowledge and others.
A few years ago I repented to God then begged for help, "I was until then an Atheist." I then had a dream of Jesus coming before God and he spoke of the Tabernacle in perfect context, "A word I didn't know existed.", and what I felt from Jesus when I held him was unlike anything I've ever felt before - A lifetime of Love every second - It brought me to sobbing and it changed my life, forever. I've had Many experiences since, "Several witnessed", one was seeing a bright orb of light pass across my face in the dark, hours before a major surgery the second I gave up in my heart. Know that God and Jesus ARE real and that they Love us deeply. Let go of your hatred and Imagine yourself holding the people who've hurt you. Tell them you Love them. Always have hope, I believe that prayer, following God's laws & Love is the answer, and through that, Truly becoming humble, merciful, welcoming, giving, gentle, respectful, compassionate, patient, kind and forgiving, To Everyone.
The 'exciting' part is due to Artosis's commentary. I think he goes overboard hyping up some games. The fact that it works is absolutely a credit to him, I won't deny that. If you look at just the game itself, it's quite underwhelming.
I don't think there's anything wrong with selecting units quickly or fast mouse movements when casting a replay. Not only does it keep people interested, but it helps show more inexperienced viewers where "the ball" is, or where to draw their attention to. Being able to interact with a replay on a surface level is something really unique to rts games and I honestly really like it.
And rush is maxed out the nuke lands! It’s all over (1 defiler shows up) Artosis knows one defiled can beat 200 supply of Terran. He sinks lower into his chair and lets out a sigh. Rush gg’s, and all the life that was in his soul over the excitement of the successful nuke slowly drains away.
I don't mind the drag selecting! One of the things that sets these sorts of casts apart from a traditional cast is that there's less on the line, and you can do a bit more "analysis" rather than "hype" commentary. And drag selecting so we can see what you're talking about helps that. I tell you what though, here's one thing I've noticed: Since these aren't tournament vods, my attention tends to waver with some of these a bit more easily. HOWEVER, when you intro the video with a bit more exposition about WHY the viewer should care about this particular video, I tend to get more easily invested and care more. I always like when you do that.
Really looked like Rush experimenting and quiting out early to redo and rethink. It really seems like Rush could have crushed with more focus and better control there. Not to mention utilizing the second Nuke (starting it the second one launches)
I agree--I think if he backed up a teeny bit on his push so he wasnt shooting at high ground ultras as much and played the final push cooler he would've had it--just killing all those ultras and keeping his army in tact would have been crushing
I think if he would've planned for a nuke incoming inevitably it would've made for a fantastic game. Just makes sense and I honestly think he wasn't prepared for that timing at all
Thank you for all your work putting these together. Speaking personally, I really like hearing about the history and analysis of what's happening (e.g. why building an evolution chamber/carapace is important and hints skipping mutalisks).
Using the minimap to frame the shot you show us can help with people who get motion sick watching a wasd cast. I dont mind either way! Great nuke, I was just shocked to see a ghost in ranked
Wow when you introduced zerg as top 8 one of the best underrated-macro zergs I guessed Action and it made me so happy because I listen to a lot of Artosis content and he just makes sense.
i really enjoy the way you cast, camera move too, if u want to be faster no problem, i think the most people who watch and back enjoy your person and want to support, so...
Wow… long time didn’t see terran player using nuke in the game. It was fun but have to be extremely careful especially using drop ships and sometimes your opponent might killed all the ghosts inside the drop. If he could use multiple nukes at the same time might confused his opponent’s response. So the strategy might work a little more efficiently than expected. Thank you Artosis for explaining the nuke strategy.
As someone who's very casually into the scene but watches all the ASLs and some off casts like this, I appreciate the inner Tasteless lol I forgot what Crazy Zerg was and explaining these seemingly redundant things are what got me into watching BW a couple years or so ago now. Maybe not necessary for all these off casts, but definitely necessary for competitions I think
As an 1800+ Terran, I personally do not appreciate the inner Tasteless at all lol. He is the reason I prefer the StarcastTV cast for ASL. Could very well be that I am the minority though
@@balintkis7085 I can see that being tiring. A good balance I think is during the early competition they explain stuff for new viewers, like Ro24 maaaybe Ro16. They should explain when they first introduce a build name in a competition. That would require them to remember if they said it earlier in the competition already though lol It's healthy for the community overall.
Had to watch it twice to realize that actually rush left the game. Would've liked to see another nuke. Despite RTs explanation, he should have stayed and tried to win
I would love to see ZvZ's with in main second hatches, especially if they mine gas from the natural. im thinking it was just a niche build that wont work next ASL.
If everything happened the same, but the natural wasn't on high ground, then I think Rush would have won (but then maybe zerg wouldn't have went for crazy zerg either who knows)
i remember playing this when it came out, i remember my first vs match being terrified of zerglings, i was 7 or 8 yo lol, played more wc2 and eventually 3 when it came out but always loved the sc campaign and style of the game, very nostalgic thinking about it, i started playing 2 like 5 years ago. wondering if artosis will try stormgate tho, its lookin pretty good
I was once doing a presentation and i was clicking various elements so much that my boss had to remind me to stop doing it multiple times. Didn't even know that it's muscle memory from RTS play. I don't mind the drag selects during casts at all, they give us more info about unit counts and unit status.
Always listen to the tasteless voice and explain what terms mean. It let’s new players, (or old players who don’t know the meta) to know what things mean.
I really like it that you dont zoom out as much as you previously do. Me watching on a phone makes it a better experience watching the game in regular size without zooms. Thanks for the game 😊
the correct play by Rush after landing the nuke would have been to *_maintain_** the perimeter (rather than try to **_expand_** it...) and try to go for a SECOND nuke* , either at same place or elsewhere... Instead... *HE TRIED TO ATTACK ULTRAS ON HI-GROUND, WHILE SITTING ON **_LO_** - GROUND... o_O* Well... What can I say... Expected results... :P .
I don't mind the drag-clicking, I do wish you would develop the players more and help them stick into memory by putting portraits up and providing more narrative about them. You already do a good job at this, but still a lot of the names blend together.
Please note this comment is left before the game begins. I have noticed that when Artosis talks up a player as being one of the best, it is highly likely that that player is about to get his butt handed to him. In this case, based on this I predict Action will win.
Its more of an ability than a spell, since it doesnt cost energy. Also Rush knew very early in the game that he was facing a Crazy zerg, but he was kinda slow with the Nuke rush. Maybe he is practicing the build and he is still cleaning it up.
"The Ultras, they're trying to hold this. Right. He's got actually good production here, but..." Artosis trying to call it as a Rush win the same instant Rush loses the game.
I appreciate all the clicking and the dragging that you do. Makes it feel more immersive seeing all the info on the units. Love your dedication!

I love how you give the back story of various strategies. Great casting, dude
Drag-select never bothered me. I like how you discussed the game a little afterwards though; it'd be cool to see that more often!
This ^. Don't know who is complaining about that.
I drag select all the time. If your mouse speed and reactions are high I don't see how it's a bad thing.
arty sets a high bar of quality! ❤
