Mathew Fitzpatrick yep, Dorn went to the emperor and asked for gold, was told no because of the custodes and did he put up a fuss? Turn traitor maybe? Nope! Just knuckled down went for yellow and refused to change his armour.

in the old days of Imperial China, yellow was the colour of the Emperor - I think there was a story where they found some noble with yellow formal robes and they knew he was treasonous because the only reason you'd have that was if you were planning to declare yourself Emperor

@@athibi9461 and we in turn gave you a beating in that war. But I can respect you Fists mainly because you guys can make a fortress on a barren patch of land in less than an hour. Hell after the Iron Warriors you guys are my second favorite legion, you could be missing a good chunk of your torso and you'll keeping fighting, incredibly loyal, you got some of the best successor chapters in 40k, some of the best characters in 40k. And well... My legion doesn't have a Phalanx, we didn't have a Sigismund, we don't have our version of the Black Templars, and we CERTAINLY don't have a Rogal Dorn. But we beat you Fists in another catagory...YOU followed the Codex Astartes and split your legion into smaller chapters, WE didn't and stayed a whole legion.

Brother! Your love of the Imperial Fists and our beloved father Rogal Dorn is quite inspirational. I love the Imperial Fists and I love Dorn so much they are both my favorite chapter / legion and favorite Primarch.
The yellow originally turned me away from the Fists, and I originally went Ultramarines, but reading about the Fists and Dorn forced me to change my mind despite the yellow and over time I grew to love the Imperial Fist yellow
In my opinion they are one of the most underrated chapters / legion and Dorn is one of the most underrated primarchs. I love Dorn because he is a simple but very complicated and misunderstood man. Where others see boastful foolhardy overconfidence I see a man who keeps quiet, listens to everything considers everything and then talks when he has something to say. A man who js straight forward, speaks his mind and respects himself and everyone else too much to lie or to dance around the subject. I see a man who is the paragon of loyalty, a true epitome of all that it means to be a space marine and an embodiment of the ideals of the Great Crusade.
I will not say that Dorn was without flaws, he had his flaws as well as anyone else. While I admire the man for speaking his mind, telling it how it is and not dancing around the subject, it was also his biggest flaw and in my opinion it was this reason that made Horus the better choice for Warmaster (that and Horus was the Emperor's precious baby) had Dorn not had this flaw, this flaw that was one of Horus' strengths, then Dorn would have likely been the best choice for Warmaster. As Dorn possessed most of the qualities that the other primarchs possessed and was regarded as the best overall strategists of all the primarchs, including Horus. (Although to be fair, Dorn's abhorrence of things like espionage and hit and run attacks do make him not as tactically flexible as other primarchs, though do not let that fool you, the Imperial Fists are masters of most forms of warfare)
I certainly believe Dorn is still alive and will return soon. However, if he did indeed die that day, he died like a true Imperial Fist, sacrificing everything in the face of impossible odds holding off Abbadon and his black crusade, hopelessly out match. Yet they held it off long enough for reinforcements to arrive.
Alpharius may have humiliated Dorn by infiltrating the Imperial palace, but Dorn paid him back by defeating their invasion and killing Alpharius. Making him 1 of only 3 (arguably 4) primarchs to kill another Primarch: Horus, Fulgrim and Dorn (arguably Guilliman).
Primarch progenitor, for your glory and the glory of him on Earth!

Alpharius and omegon are both alive. Guilliman failed to kill them aswell.
Also Alpharius wasn’t the strongest in combat abilities. They are all good. But when compared to Sanguinius, Horus, Lemen, Jaggati, Farris, Fulgrum, Conrad, and Vulkan. Ya. In a right up 1v1. I don’t see Dorn winning against any one of those when it was all of them at their prim.

You never have to ask if an Imperial Fist will stand his ground. Dorn lives! I firmly believe that GW needs to bring back Johnson snd Dorn. Johnson to lead the Imperiums armies against Chaos, Guilliemen to administer the imperium, that big blue beurocrat, and Dorn to rebuild the Imperium stronger than before.

Valrak, you can not make the argument that Faillbaddon is the greatest astartes, he took 10000 years to fail to capture a planet and simply threw a temper tantrum and blew it up
I'll never understand the argument that Abaddon failed cause he resorted to blowing up the planet. So what? I mean he destroyed a massive symbol for the imperium, idk why people try to water down. Acting like it was unfair when Imperium blows up planets all the time that are lost and no says a word. But Abaddon does it and it's oh it's cause he couldn't win the fight. Makes no sense to me.
Anytime the Canon advances and has anything negative affect the Imperium, all the fanboys will cry and complain. But if it happened to any other species they be totally okay with how they advanced it. For the story the imperium needed to suffer a major loss, that way the bringing back of primiachs makes sense as it's in the time they are most needed.

Dorn is my favorite Primarch! And at first was because of TTS, that was how I was introduced to Warhammer. But reading the official lore just made me love him even more! Yes he is blunt, but that’s because he is honesty personification! He doesn’t lie and can’t be lie to! Nobody can’t deceive him and that’s impressive! He is the one that could know the true Alpharius because even his tricks didn’t work in Dorn! Their fight was the one of my all time favorite Warhammer moment!! My Lord Adornable lives in my heart! And his sons are the best ones!! Polux is my favorite specially because his friendship with Dantioch, making my dream of them working together a reality for a few seconds!! And I almost forgot to mention that the Phalanx is the most amazing and fantastic ship ever!! Most beautiful and my favorite!

I originally wanted to have Imperial Fists (Because of you Valrak) but I could not resist the howls of the wolves. maybe one day though.
Wolfs throw better partie and have more fun but I would choose Dorn to build my walls any day of the week.

Well there is two legion that disapeared... there is one primarch called the emperor executioner... The calcul is pretty straight forward for me.
nono547 I get that but there is literally nothing known about the other 2 lost boys so they could be alive, died before the emperor even got to them or been cowards.
We just don’t know and I have trouble attributing that to Rus sure he’s a good fighter but he’s an even better shit talker and you know he would be using the fact he ganked two Primarchs to intimidate the traitors at some point before he bounced for no good reason.

I get where you are comming from, we have no direct observations of this event, but that doesn't mean indirect evidence are not valuable either.
I am no lore expert but from what i know Horus sure do seems to have known the Lost primarchs (he sure act like it, in front of macharius the sigilit), peoples call leman Russ the emperor executioner, and leman Russ seems to have regrets over hus status as an executioner.
So who did he execute to deserve resentement from some primarch and from himself if it is not the two Lost primarchs ?
nono547 You’re probably right and Rus did kill them but I’m of the mind that offscreen death is always a fake out and someone will eventually do something with them even if it doesn’t make sense. The mystery is what makes the two lost primarchs interesting and saying Mr. Doggo killed them offscreen just falls flat from me.

When I started playing 40k I liked the Black Templar, but now I like the Imperial Fist.
For me, the White Scars, Iron Hands, Salamders, and Raven Guard are the best of the space marine chapters in the galaxy!
Recently been on an Imperial Fist kick. Not sure what it is but they suddenly took to me, for the longest time my favorite Chapter was Space Wolves.

But I do like them because they fathered the Black Templars, one of the very first chapters that realized the truth that the Emperor IS the only god of Humanity.

I absolutely couldn't agree more! My love for the fists was so strong that even though I started as an IG player I couldn't contain my love for long and here I sit in stubbornness, dedicating my time to painting my Black templars terminators, way past midnight!
But how could you forget our dear Lysander, first captain of the 1st company, he is so stubborn that all he wants to do is dig iron warriors out of their petty holes and beat them over the head with the fist of Dorn. He even gets plenty of shit for it from other captains, but doesn't care, because he is stubborn.

Hey Valrak, I got a question for you.
I've always wondered how the Fists lost their Sus-an Membranes and Betcher's Glands. I know they were all killed During the war of the beast, and had to be rebuilt via their successors, but still. Their Successors has the same gene-seed, so It doesn't make sense to me for them to suddenly lose those organs. I know each chapter's gene-seed usually belongs to that chaper alone, but the Blood Angels were rebuilt during the devastation of baal via their Successors and Primaris reinforcements, but they still have all they're organs. Could you please explain this? Thanks. For Dorn and Sanguinius!
The reason why 5th company black looks so good with Fists is because yellow and black are both construction, as well as demolition, colors. Grey Knights say they're the hammer? Well they haven't seen what we can do with one, lol.
Im fairly new to Warhammer 40k, basically ive been just binge watching videos on TH-cam about it since i discovered this amazing thing that is 40k about 2 months ago. However i do wish to get into the books but i have no idea where to start.
I have some knowledge to where things are right now, like with the return of Guilliman and such, and ive heard a lot about the Horus heresy, so i may have a good overall info on the big picture but the chronology of some events still confuses me.So where should i start guys? Any help would be really appreciated :)
I'd say it depends on what is appealing to you - for example, I like the Word Bearers, so I read The First Heretic and Betrayer from Horus Heresy first.
I wouldn't be surprised if we all see Dorn's portrait have Valrak's gene-seed stained on it........
You should do a video on what would happen if Dorn was the next primarch to return and how he would respond to Guillemans changes.
I love all loyalist legions, some of their successor chapters are weird but it can happen in any family.

YEEESSSS Brother! I'm only a year old into the Warhammer 40k lore, but I can whole-heartedly agree that the honorable and stoic Imperial Fists and Rogal Dorn are my favorite above all others!

@@Crazyd6666 i mean, half the white scars turned, most legions have had traitors, the fallen were clearly corrupted by chaos and the 1st legion has probably had more positive impact in the early history of the imperium than any other legion, even emperor said to malcador when malcador was wondering if the Dark Angels were still loyal to which the emperor simply said ''You doubt them? after all they have done? the first?'' and says flat out that there loyal, also the fallen turned because the generally had no choice or did so out of loyalty to Luther, the fallen are traitors an by 40K are mostly if not all chaos space marines

I was gonna say.... wasnt The Great Wolf King Russ trusted as the emperors most loyal executioner? He would have purged the custodes themselves if the emperor would have ordered it. He and his legion were the only legion specifically designed to kill all other legions... including the fists. And they would have succeeded. Horus feared russ above pretty much all the other legions. He had hoped russ and magnus would destroy each other. But Russ and the rout were called repeatedly the most loyal of the emperors Warriors.
