The amount you get done in under 10 minutes is insane. When you got to the register the first time, I thought it was much longer because of how much you got done up to that point. And the atmosphere was so pleasant, with everyone so understanding. I'm glad you didn't have a drive thru to manage too, like some other coffee places 🤣
i did a little bit of barista work when i worked at mcdonald's, and that was so fun but so stressful. i eventually quit because the workload was so much, we had hardly any staff, and the staff we did have would yell at me for the stupidest things. they would also pressure me into working overtime. i worked 5 days a week, 8 hours a day, sometimes 10. i would get 3 hours or so sleep each night. so grateful i had that work experience, but i wouldn't go back in a heartbeat. edit: forgot to say i was 18 at the time, and this was my first job.
After I got out of the food service industry I swore I would never go back, yet here I am watching you with a sense of nostalgia for when I was one manning the ice cream store I worked at through High School.
im starting my first shift as a barista today.. really nervous but this is making me excited lol, ive worked in a bakery before and know some hours can become really really stressfull, the way your so calm yet so efficient and quick with your work really amazes me.
I would be absolutely covered in coffee stains if I was in your position, I worked a coffee stand at a large Sydney coffee festival (first time making coffee with a proper machine rather than a stovetop cafetiera) and by the end of the day my light grey jeans had a strong resemblance to a holstein cow ahaha
Great work my man. I have to do pizza solo sometimes. I run Mondays open to close and I usually end up calling one other person for backup during dinner rush. Lunch rush ain't bad. I can handle it solo. Serving slices and making pizzas start to finish while making sure customers aren't waiting too long is definitely stressful work, but super rewarding.

Honestly I really really enjoyed this video. I used to work in a cafe and I'd always watch them make the drinks. I'm fixing to go to college and I want to work as a barista
This was really satisfying but also stressful to know what it feels like in that situation. I've only had one experience in a cafe job that didn't last very long and they expect you to start off like this. No mistakes. Absolute perfection when you're just starting out and then having to deal with arrogant customers is the cherry on top.
watching this i thought being a barista would be something i could do, then i saw the swirls with the cream and made me realize how i probably wouldn't. Keep up the work! ❤
this is making me nostalgic for my barista days. i really loved your efficiency! you handled being a solo barista during a rush better than i did. we didn't have those built in washers for the jugs so if i couldn't run to the sink (which was in a room behind the counter) my counter was looking a mess! love your set up!!
love this! little tip, if you pour your milk or put the espresso in water right away once it’s done pulling, it’ll have a creamy, sweeter taste and texture. it preserves the integrity of the espresso ♥️

Not even a massive coffee drinker but I found the step-by-step nature and repetition of making coffee made learning and getting better at it really easy and eventually my co-ordination caught up. Maybe give it a try someday, won't know until you do if it might be for you!
And piling on to the love for the creator I'm absolutely floored at how effortless you make every aspect of this job look while under stress and making damn good coffee while you do it, props to ya mate.
@@Themegaminnies Do you have ADHD as well by any chance? I also get overwhelmed and start messing up quite basic instructions pretty often haha
@@Themegaminniessame here!!! i spill a lot of drinks but i’ve also been able to develop my motor skills quite a bit and i really love the job
I have dyspraxia and just started a job that requires barista training and finding it HARD 😭. Watching this video to give myself tips
The constant adjusting of the 17,9 or 18,1 to 18 would drive me insane
With practice you'd have no trouble eye baling it
That’s why there are grind by weight grinders in the market. It grinds the amount of ground you input. He should get GBW and auto tamping machine. That’s 2 step process! Very efficient that way!
I know that feel when you're stretched thin all too well working in an understaffed cafe myself, yet you still present and serve the coffees beautifully and took your time while also being efficient! That's a job well done at the end of the day.
Timing to absolute perfection at 12:50 mug with water under placed right as the coffee started flowing, while mid conversation. Underrated skills right there
Mad respect for this man. The fact that this man is out there working this hard and being this kind in the middle of it is so encouraging.
I like to watch people go to work while i'm procrastinating for 27 years
As a part time newbie at a tea shop I can feel your stress but you are so cool.
It will definitely get better! I love it when you get used to it and are in a flow state
I never would’ve known that watching a barista doing an absolutely amazing job would be so satisfying to watch if not for this video.
I would love it if you were to make such a video again!
from one barista to another - huge respect, great job! 💪🏻
Finally someone understanding the short form "Pov"
After I got out of the food service industry I swore I would never go back, yet here I am watching you with a sense of nostalgia for when I was one manning the ice cream store I worked at through High School.
I new at this job, watching your videos help me alot on what to do, what to focus on. And after a month, I getting better, thanks alot
This was so entertaining and therapeutic to watch
Damn, bro, I think you've just pulled a WR any% in solo barista lunch rushes, the speed and perfectionism were impeccable!
Lets goooo
He even had time to do a melee emote at 25:00
@@jennaxolotl6275 no way bro hit the inspect keybind on the tray 💀
There’s no way my barrel extended to that
@@vexy-_-1122 WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?
I must say, watching your work is really relaxing
Thanks mate!
wow your ability to entertain engaging conversation while working fast and steady is so impressive!
Best part of the job!
Good work. Focused and efficient, I didn't think you were stressed at all.
Watching this at 2x speed gave me horrific anxiety. 10/10 would recommend
im starting my first shift as a barista today.. really nervous but this is making me excited lol, ive worked in a bakery before and know some hours can become really really stressfull, the way your so calm yet so efficient and quick with your work really amazes me.
I hope it's going well :)
I hope everything went well
How was it?
How are you doing two weeks in?
Hope big man’s doin okay
Such a humble and kind soul. This video feltlike therapy to my mind.
You're so calming to watch! You have a great way with customers and are so efficient with getting orders out.
As a solo attendant in a McDonald's coffee i definitely feel you. Thanks for the pov make me feel less lonely
Nice mate! Credit to you I love pizza. There’s something so special about delivering perfect service and seeing how it can lift people.
I love how well you work and how polite the customers are!
Its hard to explain to my loved ones how much I can find peace in chaos or in busy moments but these video sums up really how i feel , it just gives me calmness, cheers mate ! Keep up to good work, I respect you so much !
wow your work flow around the machine is incredible! love steaming the empty milk bottles, super satisfying to squish. the way you interact with the customers is so great :)
Oh my word! I have a great home setup and struggle to get a flat white right if my wife is asking me questions. You seem un-rushed with all that going on, and have time to be so polite to guests. Huge respect 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
its quite relaxing seeing this
Connor please make more videos like this, longer next time I loovvee it
Will do my best! I know people are really enjoying the long form content
i'm not a barista but you are really comforting to watch!! i really wanna try being a barista sometime as it looks really fun, and i love the art of making designs in the coffee. also i really admire how easily you are able to talk to customers, you sound so laid back. this video is so relaxing- not really for you haha but you are so efficient and handle everything with such familiarity and ease. i dont know what it is but this video really grabs my attention and soothes me. thank u for posting it's really cool to see your amazing work!! ❤️
Amazing how you can see the muscle memory and skill in it. As home barista, big props to you dude
I love the workflow and your alone there .
Wow what great pacing and charisma with the customers. I’m sure he’s just an absolute pleasure to have in the cafe, what a sweetheart
Woah - that looks really stressful. Respect. You are doing a great job! I send you strength. Love from Germany.
Thanks mate! Where abouts? I was born in Bielefeld!
@@ConnorDoesCoffee Oh das ist eine Überraschung. Ich komme aus Hannover, Niedersachsen 😁
Ok, this video made me realise how much effort is put into serving people and you master it. Congrats man. Huge respect!
yea..the coffee that he served aint gonna be that good
Thanks!
I'm so sorry but I didn't see anyone else point this out - at 5:16 a piece of foil from the milk jug goes into the milk, and at 6:47 it's poured into the takeaway cup 🥲 still looks delicious, though! amazing job ❤
I was looking for this comment lmao
I was watching this on a big screen and spotted the same thing. You can see it in the jug afterwards floating just under the surface near the spout.
No way this guy fingers the top of the milk foil like that, poking his hand inside, yet wastes time on 0.1g of coffee in the espresso.
This video kinda highlights how bullshit some of coffee/barista culture is tbh! 😅
Yikes.
I admire how you stand the hot temperature with the milk boiling, it's really burning that i can feel it. Respect. I used to work like that too, so i know how it is. Good job, man!
Worked at a modern coffee shop for almost 3 years as my second job and loved it. This brings back so many memories. Wouldn’t go back, but love to just watch these videos
This is hypnotizing. I just got a Breville espresso machine and now I appreciate even more your work, the incredible attention to detail pays off, it makes a real difference in the end. Your customers are lucky!
bro the world holds on people like you :),keep it going your work is much appreciated
This man is a craftsman, this is art and very soothing to watch 😮
It's crazy how easily that machine textures milk. I'm at home struggling with my barista espresso lol!
you please start going to starbucks regularly for morning joe.. triple vanilla latte breve.
watching this i thought being a barista would be something i could do, then i saw the swirls with the cream and made me realize how i probably wouldn't. Keep up the work! ❤
You dont have to do that, most coffee places dont. Its something you will learn to do on the job and then you can start doing it too
It’s actually not as hard as it looks to do the swirls
this is making me nostalgic for my barista days. i really loved your efficiency! you handled being a solo barista during a rush better than i did. we didn't have those built in washers for the jugs so if i couldn't run to the sink (which was in a room behind the counter) my counter was looking a mess! love your set up!!
Oh wow my man! Your latte art are flawless!
Why is this so satisfying to watch? Also props for the coffee art, that shit is hard.
love this! little tip, if you pour your milk or put the espresso in water right away once it’s done pulling, it’ll have a creamy, sweeter taste and texture. it preserves the integrity of the espresso ♥️
man was doing 3 orders at once. I am sure if he had his full attention order by order he would have done that lol..
@@ACTPOHABTa I have done 6 orders at once and still put something to save the espresso! it’s called sequencing and it’s very valuable to master
