What is the Fallout vibe for me? So, I think it is an irony on Cold War and nuclear holocaust. However, my fallout experience had started with Fallout 3. I remember booting-up the game for the first time. I was impressed by the setting. I had waited for a sad adult survival story of a small part of mankind. But I have gotten a funny game, which showed me to never give up, even after apocalypse. I heard, the first two games were more deep, dark and mature. They have an interesting gameplay, a true RPG system and more. But now I'm happy I missed them, because if I would've had experience of playing these games, I could've never gotten so much fun from Bethesda's Fallout games. Like the author of this video for example. But I can understand him. Maybe he has the "grass is greener" syndrome. In the light of everything said, I came to a decision. My head-cannon includes three similar fallout-settings: the first two games, the Bethesda's Fallout games and the Amazon's Fallout universe. The universe, which is based on the games, but aren't connected to them. This is the only way, I can love all of the content of Fallout franchise. Technically, this video is great. It has footages from all games, streams and series. Nice to see the opinion of an old-school fan of Fallout games. It expends the horizon very much. Like and Subscribe. Thank you very much!
It's not uncommon to hear concerns from long-time Fallout fans about the franchise's direction, especially with the TV adaptations direction and success. One of the more prevalent fears is that a commercially successful show could push Bethesda to shift even further toward a broader, mainstream audience, straying from the hardcore fanbase and the original spirit of the series. But let's be honest-Fallout 3 and New Vegas were already well outside the boundaries of the classic franchise formula. These games, while beloved, marked a departure from the original "bible" of Fallout, embracing changes that some purists would argue altered the series' core identity. The real puzzle, however, is why people get so emotionally charged over subjective opinions. Responding to differing viewpoints with high-strung emotions doesn’t exactly scream intellectual high ground. Personally, I agree that commercial success could push Bethesda to further mold the franchise to appeal to the "modern audience," potentially driving it even further from its original roots. But I came to love the series during the Fallout 3 and New Vegas era, where Bethesda was already beginning to evolve the game in line with their development style, using less and less from the original Fallout "bible." That said, after Fallout 4 and 76, I do share the concern that future installments, influenced by the TV show's success, could end up feeling entirely different-more a product of mass appeal than faithful to the series’ origins. With Bethesda aiming to recoup some of the losses from Starfield, it's hard not to worry that the franchise could become a vehicle for capitalizing on the show’s success, rather than preserving the elements that drew so many dedicated fans in the first place.
This is my main concern with the complete off-screen removal of the NCR (as much as every single developer before Bethesda wanted to get rid of it), as narratively we are right back to the status quo: Bethesda fears altering the wasteland to a post-wasteland would negatively affect them commercially. I could make an argument that removing China from the show risks the radically shifting the argument from war to capitalism (as Bethesda clearly wants to), but ultimately its post USA and China that will define the future of Fallout which the removal of NCR makes me question the direction
@@robertcincrest2019 Tourist like thinking the Bible is canon? All this video is based on the idea they don't know the lore and it his him (and you, I guess) who doesn't know. Go do your research, wannabes.

To be fair people have been saying that for like the past 20 years ever since Bethesad bought it, that it was going to die any day when its gotten more and more popular with the tv show bringing it into the mainstream beyond vidya games.
its over for older fans because they will cater to a newer broader fanbase, all future games will be looter shooters with basebuilding and not rpg games
@@StayWinningBlackKing Based on what? That's the kind of things people have been saying since bethesda bought it and, surprise surprise, people created the base building with mods. Fallout 3 had no base building? Basebuilding mod goes over the roof. Fallout NV the same? People does the same. It was the fans who asked for it. You are basically crying because they didn't took the franchise down the road you wanted, but if they did, all that people that likes the game like it is would be complaining too. Would that make them right? Would it be cool for you to loose your franchise in favour of them because they dont't like how it evolved? That is what you are asking for, lot's of people to lose their franchise because a minority can't find another thing to play and stop crying.
NV is a really good game, a bit goofy at times akin to the second Fallout. If you really like New Vegas - give the older ones a try! Hope you'll be having fun playing them all :)
I was kinda onboard until the whole whining about "propaganda" and ignoring main themes in even the OG Fallout in order to 'prove' it's propaganda... Like did you honestly get upset they paint Vault-Tech as evil!? Did you forget that you can play a strong independent female character in the OG? What purpose did that rant at the end even serve... And are you HONESTLY saying that BETHESDA is anti-capitalist and trying to push "an ideology"? Seriously, wait til you get a load of the film "Aliens"....
I'm not against the fact that you can play as a strong woman in OG Fallouts, I'm against the disproportionate representation. Just count how many "cool" female characters are there in the show and how many of them are male. You'll notice a certain pattern. As for the the Vault -Tech - it is my mistake that I didn't cover that completely, allow me to clear this out a little. In the OG Fallouts everyone involved were guilty of starting the Apocalypse. It was left ambiguous who started it, because it doesn't really matter - each side is guilty. Now it is blatantly stated that Vault-Tech (which were not even that important in OG Fallouts, being a puppet of government) began all of that, for the dumbest reason of getting to the top of the world after... the world was destroyed? Besides that being a dumb reason, what's the moral behind that? - Capitalism is bad. Is that a drop in quality and the main idea? - Hell yeah. I don't think that it's that "Bethesda" or "Amazon" are against capitalism, it's just another lazy virtue signaling on their behalf to cash out as much money from the left oriented audience as possible. Great irony tbh :) As for why did you mention "Aliens" - dunno. Anti-corporate theme was the main part of the movie and was never changed. It was the sole reason why Burke was there. Pretty irrelevant to the topic.
Doesnt the game series as a whole mostly on the theme of nationalism and war is bad? Sure it pokes fun at capitalism to but its mostly to satirize the red scare
@@Chimperium Yea but women have played games or watched shows and they only have male cool characters with female leads as being some useless hang-ons for decades. I mentioned Aliens because it has several strong "cool" female characters and several cowardly, devious men with an evil corporation at the helm. It's literally what people keep complaining about today but it was embraced for that very theme back then. I don't think choosing Vault-Tech to be the cause is any less different than the results of the plot to Bioshock, Blade Runner or the Alien franchise. It's not "Capitalism bad" it's more shining a light on the problems that come with too much power to a single 'detached' entity who's sole purpose is, well, coming out on top regardless of the expense of individuals. Bad writing that betrays the original script? Maybe, but propaganda? Like you said it's a marketing ploy to reach out to a broader audience, maybe even just a lazy way to introduce the company and ignore wider geopolitics that could possibly cause even more controversy. Sorry but I just get irate when people conflate marketing with "leftism" because it's oxymoronic and basically doublespeak at that point while ignoring countless creations that involve the same themes. People keep complaining these days about "politics in games" but then harp on about how great the original Deus Ex was for its "truth bombs". Seems the common denominator is whether or not there's a woman involved, and that's where I get confused at the outrage.
@@UdumbaraMusic Fair point, man. I just think that making men into uninteresting pathetic characters just because it was the other way back in the time wouldn't help the issue. There should be some kind of balance and common sense. As for "propaganda", maybe it is a strong word and I'm overreacting, but for me, as a guy who's predecessors literally died because of commies, the whole "eat the rich" and "capitalism - bad", which is pushed in the mainstream media is pretty damn alarming.
@@Chimperium I don't think it's a retaliatory thing, though. My point is they kinda just got on and dealt with it the same as we ought to - someone's got to be at the butt of the joke at the end of the day. There is often a competent and useless duo regardless of gender and it's often used as a way to contrast the capabilities or morality of the hero and other people. It's just now the shoe is on the other foot I guess. Women these days are getting into things that used to be somewhat 'exclusive' to men and franchises are trying to lure that open demographic towards their product - They already have men buying their product so they focus on women and make them the hero. Companies like Bethesda are very profit driven: They don't get profit from trying to actually elevate women, but they do by including a woman to relate/aspire to. And yea I can understand why you might be cautious but just remember it's neither capitalism nor socialism that's inherently wrong. In every scenario where things turn sour it's when one entity swamps the rest. Like you say with shows ideologies also need balance because things get flaky when it goes too far one way. At the moment we're experiencing severe economic disparity and the worst economic mobility in decades, with an increasing number of companies having more economic power than entire nations while massive cuts are being made to public services. It's not a surprise some folk want to put the brakes on a little bit... However considering the geopolitical situation it's definitely not the Communists who have the most influence here. I mean who even are the Communists? The biggest players are Capitalist Democracies and State Capitalists. "Radical left" in the West seems to be bringing back free lunches in schools or pointing out the negative consequences of land hoarding. There's barely anything actually left wing about the parties in charge at all.
I think everyone is entitled to their opinion without harassment…. Most the fallout community doesn’t agree with me- god protect you haha. Sweet merciful Lord, one can't go anywhere online without hearing or seeing NV be crowed about like some flawless 24 carat gem. It's a big reason why I go out of my way NOT to revisit it. Ironically most of the people who latch onto it so hard have never even touched older titles like VtM Bloodlines despite much of the shared "DNA" it had with the older Fallouts. Unsurprising given it had alums from Black Isle and various Easter Eggs to include a character named after Chris Avellone.
Crazy take. Bethesda never understood fallout. So everything after fallout 2 is Bethesda and this is more of that. Hating it for that reason is just pathetic.
Brother, just try to play the classic ones. They could be very boring and confusing, if you never played isometric rpgs though. If they do become unbearable, just try Fallout New Vegas checking any unknown lore during the playthrough. Hope you'll have fun, mr. Marosi :)

And you just cherry pick phrases to support your "they didn't research" theory they don't want to have as canon things like the Bible that, surprise surprise, it wasn't canon, just pieces, said by the franchise authors. Do your research, and stop crying.
I literally stated which parts of the newer Fallouts I don't like comparing it to classic all the way. Moreover, I pointed to the bad decisions of F2 team, how they moved away from the tone of the first Fallout and still maintained franchise's logic and showed how their response was different to Bethesda. If you are okay with restarted writing and lack of care - good for you, but making a statement in order to make the Bethesda fanboys go yippie is nonsensical. You could point out an exact statement that I didn't counterweight - that would be a good criticism. If you can't - your criticism worth nothing.
@@Chimperium You literally didn't. You said "it is bad, it is worse" like a million times and gave no reason. Saying something is bad isn't saying anything, it is complaining for literally no reason. Fallout fans are so smooth brained that they ask for something new, get something new with the show, and 76 and then cry about it not being different enough. Watched another idiot fallout essay channel that claimed fallout doesn't do anything new and just completely ignores the free states, foundation, crater, and the responders factions they added into 76. Fallout fans suck and it's why i hate making fallout content.
If i go to a restaurant and get served literal shit then yes, I will complain. 76 is trash, the fallout show is just a generic action drama in a fallout skinsuit.
you have to make a good narrative from A-Z (while limiting plot contrivances, not eliminating as obviously no one is perfect) which 4 and 76 has clear narrative issues when compared to FNV or older games. If I'm served shit I'm going to call people out for trying to serve me shit
Oh hey another "1 and 2 was the best and everything else is trash" This is the bungee thing where halo 1 2 3 and reach fans go out of there way to make the fanbase worse because they can't get out of there loop of hearing eachothers same opinions on 1 through reach and think any opinion on 4 and up being other than trash is heinous

You don't say at any point "this is worse for this reason", you just say "it is bad". Fallout 3 is so bad it brought back the franchise, yeah.
What you don't like about them?
You could point out which parts you dont like from them, I cant point out comments that you dont do because you are to busy crying without explaining why you don't like them.
You literally argued nothing, childish piece of bad behaviour.
@@Chimperium Oh, and my critizism is worth way more than yours, because yours isn't critizism, it is crying because you think they have to make the game thinking only of you. I explain why I think (more like "know") that your video is a shit.
Your critizism consists on saying "I don't like it" and crying like a baby.
Go buy a brain and some balls.
@@granlago2235 Usage of the same fractions over and over, although it has no sense, no world progression, city of kids level of writing.
Bethesda's Fallouts were chewed and spat out over and over, it's already bad manners to explain each part of that slop as far as writing goes.
@@ChimperiumYou can just say you're lazy and move on lol, I really still don't get why Fallout fans think their voice actually matters to Bethesda or any previous devs lol
Oh hey another "1 and 2 was the best and everything else is trash"
This is the bungee thing where halo 1 2 3 and reach fans go out of there way to make the fanbase worse because they can't get out of there loop of hearing eachothers same opinions on 1 through reach and think any opinion on 4 and up being other than trash is heinous
bro what? it was a great show
bad take
hi not even going to watch this but HAHAHAHAHAHAHA, to be this simple
pot calling the kettle black
Garbage take
