I never understood why people wants to have guests over constantly, I partly left my husband because of this, I want my home to be my space, my relaxing-zone,my pyjama-tv-sofa zone. Guests maybe once every third month if nessessarily, between that just the two of us. He thought it was boaring, to just be with me, he hated tv-nights, I was always alone while he went out to be with his friends. So I left him and lived alone ever since and love and enjoy my own home❤️ I do bring friends over but not often, and I prefer to have ONE friend at a time over, and most of all I like to meet at some coffee-place😊 and NO I do NOT feel lonely!!! I feel at peace and I feel relaxed and happy! Soon in my 60's!

I remember having a crush on Leah Remini when she was on saved by the bell.
Little goof: In the kitchen, when Doug tries to persuade Carrie to invite Richie and his girlfriend, in one scene the kitchen window is open and you can see the garden, alternating with the window and the blinds closed.
I don't think the show would have lasted by Carrie & Dug just being constantly nice to each other I think bringing in their HILARIOUS banter meanness & all the other HILARIOUS ways they treat each other and others worked to keep the show alive. I watch it just about everyday of my life.....I absolutely LOVE this show along with everybody loves Raymond....that's a top show too......they never get old. 💚 From Australia

Writers decided to remove him. 🤷🏻♀️ I think his character was super and they could've at least put him on every once in a while instead of bringing Holly too often till the end. Richie was great I agree should have been around longer. I have wondered if being Ray Ramono's Brother maybe he had been offered a show that didn't come thru. Or maybe Kevin James was trying to get his Brother, Gary Valentine a bigger part as Cousin "Danny".
richie was ok but not that good of a character remember this is a comedy tv show and the stud or cool guy doesn't fit well in the sitcome plus he wasn't always funny ,on the other hand holly had that look that when you see her you start laughting and she was good as the not so bright girl and also cute
The writers didn't want to kick Richie out and is also has nothing to do with Gary Valentine, the actor (Larry Romano) asked to be let out of his contract because he was offered a role in another TV-show called Kristin. Unfortunately, that show was discontinued after only 6 episodes.
We never really know what takes place behind scenes. The actor who plays the role of Richie could have asked for more appearances on the show or a salary increase and the owners could have decided to not to grant the actor his request. We just don't know!!!!
