His apartment was to have some space from her dad. Carrie and Arthur were always screaming and there wasn’t a space for him to relax. Carrie’s apartment was so she could leave Doug if he didn’t bend to everything she said. Different things.
Im still watching King of Queens reruns i want this show back please. It's not difficult given the ending were Doug and Carrie In China and Carrie learned she was pregnant after they had adopted Mayling ?

Authur had a close relationship with doug. Because authur thought doug was honest and real with a good sence of humor and tough guy with good family values. But authur loved carrie. Autthur wasn't real close to carrie because carrie was selfish and a little dishonest at times. Especially with doug. Authur knew that. That's why he felt for doug.
