After 50 years away I’ve lost most of my southern accent. But listening to this talented lady is like music to my ears!!!

Although some people will say to me, “your not from here originally are you”? So sometimes that southern still shines through, especially with phrases like, “I’m fixin”, “for heavens sake” or “y’all”.......I can’t help it, it’s in my blood :))

This pie right here is yet another I'll be making! Looks DELISH! YUMMMM!!!! Everything you make is just like my precious grandma from Tennessee made and she made EVERYTHING from scratch as my sweet little Grandpa would say..."You don't know what's in store bought stuff so Grandma had him spoiled for sure. Oh how I miss my precious Grandma and Grandpa and you dear Tammy bring back SO many precious memories of how she cooked. I try to keep her legacy alive through some of the things she used to make like her buttermilk biscuits, fried pies in that ole cast iron skillet, her famous chicken and dumplings and such. Thank you SO much for spreading joy through the art of cooking as you sure made my heart smile.

I swear I am not one to follow cooks but had great cooks in my family and this dear woman does not remind me of my family but her cooking certainly reminds me of my Mom and Grandma's cooking. My Grandpa on Mom's side was full Dutch and my Grandma on my Mom's side was a mix of Irish and Northern European folks I think. I did not know my Fathers family but my Father was born and raised in Jones County Mississippi and he taught my Mother tons of Southern Cooking and I continued loving to cook as do my daughter and sons and daughter-in-law so my family are all great cooks ! That is whose busy wonder woman's kitchen reminds me of, lots of fantastic foods coming out of it!! I sure subscribed fast and are going through as much of the old videos fast! Love ya girl!!

Dearest Tammy (and Chris and family), my name is Laura, im 38 and live in Smyrna Georgia. At one time I had a house in Powder Springs so we used to be neighbors! This video is the first one on your channel (the pie is currently setting) that I watched the other day and i've been binge watching your videos and i've made it to your other channels now lol. I just wanted to tell you how beautiful of a person I think you are. I love watching you cook, listening to you speak and I really love how you and your husband support each other and work so well as a team. You are inspiring and seriously just a joy to watch. I've worked in the fine dining industry for the last 20 years and there is something so loving and nurturing about the way you share with the world your experience and recipes. I just HAD to tell you how wonderful you are. I watched your haircut video today (the whole thing) Lord help me if I attempt to do the same. Thank you so much. I wish you all of the success in the world.

Your written recipe calls for a whole can of sweetened condensed milk and you only used 1/2 can--you might want to edit that. It looks delicious--you're going to wish you'd made two!

An observation....first, let me say, I'm Canadian with dual citizenship and live in Texas, I travel to Mississippi and Louisiana on a regular basis to visit my southern family (aunt olley and uncle Sherman and aunt grace and uncle joe) I've been to other "adopted relatives" in Virginia and Tennessee, one thing I notice about my southern family is their kitchens and how it's set up....I say this because your kitchen (same as other southern you tube cooks) reminds me of how my southern relatives have their kitchens, and it seems there is always a room that is dark (like the one behind you) this is just my observation...lol...but thank you for bringing me a piece of the south🌹, I will definitely try this pie tomorrow for my family's Christmas Eve dinner.....in closing, I want to wish you and everyone else a blessed and wonderful Merry Christmas, hope everyone is warm and having the best Christmas yet ....(my momma always reminds me in Christmas morning to wish Jesus a Happy Birthday, after all, he is the reason for the season, greetings from Ontario Canada (I come home every year since I moved in 1998) Christmas is not the same without the snow

I always use dry pistachio pudding instead of eagle brand condensed milk, everything else I do the same, but I've never put lemon juice in it. It's so delicious!😋

The lemons help the Eagle brand milk set up that's why use lemon and we make lemon icebox pie for Thanksgiving every year for my dad

I will have to make that soon. I would make it for the family Thanksgiving dinner, but I’ve already been told I won’t be allowed in the door without a banana pudding made from our family’s “secret” heirloom recipe. It was my dad’s favorite dessert and my mom got the recipe from his mom. I got her handwritten copy of it and continued to make one for my dad’s birthday every year after mom passed away. It wasn’t until a couple of years ago that I found out it was just the Nabisco vanilla wafer box recipe, but with cornstarch instead of flour in the custard.
