Greetings, I noticed many abandoned homes in Madeira, but a shortage of available homes on the island. I would be interested to hear if you have any information on acquiring abandoned homes on the island. Thank you for sharing.
Are you going to be detailing a whole cost of your new adventure? What a abandoned house in a sweet location goes for? Costs to renovate it? How long (and cost) of the whole process? (including obtaining the golden visa?) Would be good to see a whole accounting, as I am considering a comparable adventure, but I have to make a quick decision as I hear the golden visa window might be closing.
p.s. I am worried if i was to start the process if they change the golden visa rules before my house is renovated would it be for nothing?
Hi James as we understand it if your golden visa application is uploaded and in process any future changes will not affect you. Do check with a lawyer. House prices here have rocketed since we bought and renovating costs have so many variables depending not only on the quality of fittings and materials you use, are you using an architect and also our renovating costs increased due to results of covid and the Ukraine war. Hopefully our renovation videos will have some valuable information you are looking for. 😊
