    another fine video. I've always liked Sigma lenses on the Sony system. They always seem to pair well, but for the ability to unlock features like breathing compensation, for those who care, makes the Sony native lenses worth the premium price IMO.

      Yes, i agree. Well said. If you want a solid all around lens and prefer less of an expense, usually sigma can offer some outstanding quality images. If you prefer or need the extra details/options and perfect pair up, and are prepared to put out the extra cash...Sony lens are great. Thanks!

    Thank you for the video. I’ve moved to the Quick Disconnect (QD) socket available on SmallRig and other base plates and the Black Rapid straps that support them. The SR plate then has an Arca-Swiss compatible base plate. Give them a try. Also added the Sigma 10-18/2.8 DC DN Contemporary zoom to use along side my 18-50/2.8. Very happy with the flexibility it offers even though I have the Sony E 15/1.4 G. Take care.

      Your welcome. Thank you for watching! That sounds like a great set-up. The Sigma 10-18 f2.8 is definitely on my list. Looks like a great lens! I use the other 2 lenses you mentioned daily.

    Thanks for the tips, it's very usefull. The only thing I don't like is having camera hanging on side - it's very easy to hit something.

      Great, glad it was useful! Yes, certainly need to be careful of your surroundings with that. However, I haven't found a carry method that has been more convenient and comfortable. Thanks for watching!

    Loved the suggestion about the quick release system 👍 definitely going for it. Any thoughts about the Tamron 18-300mm all in one lens?

      Hi. It has been a very useful and convenient system for me. That lens is certainly interesting, but I have not had my hands on one. Have you been able to try the Tamron? Thanks for watching!

      @@anthonyj_film_photo no i don't have that lens. I want to do some amateur wildlife photography videography and wanted a all in one kinda zoom lens which would be wide enough to do day to day regular photos/videos but at the same time have a decent focal range to get those far distant subjects incase if needed. Hence thought of 18-300. Otherwise I think 70-350 is a better lens just for wildlife right?

    • @anthonyj_film_photo
      @anthonyj_film_photo  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It would certainly be nice to have that all in one ability in a lens. I am not familiar with its other specs. I need to look closer at them. In my experience, there is likely at least 1 major tradeoff somewhere. Either quality or size and weight. Probably size and weight if I had to guess. Still, it looks useful depending on the situation. The 70-350 Sony has been great for APSC wildlife shots in daylight. I've been able to take some good photos of wildlife, distant people, the moon, and the eclipse yesterday. I have some shorts on my channel with those examples using the 70-350mm if you want to take a look. Thanks so much!

    Thanks for the overview, is the Small Rig compatible with the Ulanzi quick release system?

    • @anthonyj_film_photo
      @anthonyj_film_photo  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi, thanks for watching. You can attach the Ulanzi quick release plate to the bottom of small rig cages. I have also noticed Ulanzi started making their own cages with f38 quick release built into the design! I haven't tried one of those yet.
