this video for anyone who rig they're camera just for fun or just make the camera look professional and looks awesome but less cost. this video is wonderful, you deserve more subscribe
I'm sorry, only 200 subscribers? This is phenomenal work! Keep this up mate! (On a tight budget right now after buying the body and two lenses here in Australia, lol). But seriously, this is talent. Thanks for putting the price and the links. Cheers!
@@DMFilmsUKYT I think it would be worth also adding a cooling fan, some people (like me) would record in 4k 120fps for long durations. The ULANZI Camera Cooling Fan Black would be perfect.
Great tutorial, informative clear and easy to watch and learn from. As a first attempt ... wow really good better than a lot of channels that have been around for ages. Keep it up 😊
I rarely need to switch batteries, so I don't need any bulky battery solution, as I don't do hour long takes. As for the i-Phone: Since the A6700 doesn't have two memory card slots, I use a ninja 5 monitor, that makes sure I am recording a second track of everything.
A6700 probably not the right camera to use a v-mount battery with ---> Heat! If the end goal is a rig that can run for hours why not spend $200 more for the fx30 (when it goes on sale).
"I can't view batteries from America from the UK, because it's gonna assume I'm gonna want to ship it over here..." - the heck! Why? Now that I got this out of my system - great video. Keep it up.
You definitely should use the 6700 for video and the 6400 for pictures. The 10 bit video out of 6700 will be much more flexible in post compared to the 8bit video coming out of the 6400.
Great video, and great tip on the Monitor+ app, as I just tried it on my 6700 and it is a game changer! How are you finding the heat management on that camera, when on the rig like that?
Excellent video, great set-up, thanks! Maybe a good budget option would be to buy refurbished items. That’s how I buy all my gear. Great for your expenses and the planet 👌🏽
Great video ordered majority this stuff the other day after watching, quick question can you have someone with the dji mic and use the shotgun mic at the same time to capture background audio from say people without mics ?
i'm glad there's someone mention Monitor+ app but the only sad thing for me, i can't make use Wireless feature because i had old sony cam and now i really frustated can charge phone and camera at same time because charging/data port occupied #wipetears
I only ever overheated once. We were stuck in a padded studio filming a drummer and we had turned the heating on so we could get the sweat flying off him and was filming at 120fps 🤣 still lasted over 30 minutes before the warning came up
I needed to reliably shoot full length soccer games at 60fps, in 80-90F weather so I skipped the a6700 and went straight to the FX30. Extremely happy with it. Minus the burst mode, this camera is a champ at shooting stills too. Underrated feature imo.
Tbh this was a nice first video, audio quality sounds good and video quality looks good. Maybe the white background is just too white 😂 but it could be just me having horrible eyes 😂 Recently i bought a field monitor, however I'm not enjoying it as much as i thought. Does the monitor plus app lag? If yes, how much? I was thinking of returning the monitor and buying a new phone (i have an old android). The main drawback of the monitor is that i use a Sony ecm-b10 mic, and it records the monitor noise, which dedeats the purpose of having an on camera mic.
Hello thank you for the kind words, I am working on the too white bg by wrapping a desk, this was recording with a tv screen behind me as a temp solution, So monitor plus has a small amount of lag when used wirelessly, but its no more than .3 ms so very useable. there is no lag when using it in wired mode to the camera (if the camera supports it. which camera do you have? To remove humming I would suggest learning about reverse audio to remove background noise. I would search, “how to remove humming with audacity” there are some really good TH-cam guides
What did you think of my first video Creating a Sony a6700 Camera Rig for Less than $500? 😀
👍
It's just great.
God i was watching this not looking at the profile and thinking, this person has been filming for a long time.
I have a secret channel with over 100k… this channel is my passion project 😇😇
You did great! I’m new here too, you’re doing amazing
I was shocked when I saw how small your channel is. The quality of your videos and your speaking are superb
You are so kind

Thank you so much. Sigma video coming next week!!
Great pace in the "pace" of the video. No unnecessary "storytelling" good audio combined with your "storytelling voice" good job!
wait you only have 230 subs, i assumed you would have 230k subs, your videos are great and high quality
awesome first videos, love the lil jokes here and there. honesetly didn't realize it was from a smaller channel. Loved it!!!!!!!

very good for a first video. keep it up bro
Thank you, I will
This might just be the most useful video in TH-cam for budget cinema rigs. Thank you! 👏
Wow, thanks!
Thank god!! I watched your video!! I was thinking to build it!!
🤩
Do you have a dummy battery in the camera with the K&F battery doing the powering?
Nope. I just have the battery powering the camera via usb type c
Ah ok@@DMFilmsUKYT
@@DMFilmsUKYTI have a very similar setup but I can't get the battery to power the camera through the USB C or A. Any advice?
Incredible production quality. Appreciate the guide!
Glad it was helpful!
Great, well done, thank you !
Thank you too!
for v mount battrey plate, also you can change it to takara L plate(universal) + mini smallrig v mount plate , its almost cost you half
Great video! Will try out this rig myself soon!
Have fun!
Have the same rig love it

My guess is something to do with batteries on a plane catching fire 🤷
This is just what I was looking for!!
Yey! Glad I could help!
Great video!! I’m building up my a6400 for dedicated video to learn on I have my 6700 for pictures

awesome video, thank you.
Glad you liked it!
Quick question, I use Sony Wireless Mic and the receiver goes on the hot shoe, how can i build a rig with a handle on top?
Depends on cage and top handle
whoa thanks for this!
Great video, and great tip on the Monitor+ app, as I just tried it on my 6700 and it is a game changer! How are you finding the heat management on that camera, when on the rig like that?
not too bad I have had a few overheats but I was stuck in a studio with 5 1000w lights and the heating stuck on
Excellent video, great set-up, thanks! Maybe a good budget option would be to buy refurbished items. That’s how I buy all my gear. Great for your expenses and the planet 👌🏽
Great tip!

You’d need splitters but I don’t see why not. Never tried
@@DMFilmsUKYT thank you I’ll give it a go when the wireless mics arrive
Great video. Do you have an amazon link for these rig build?
Yes, check the description.
Thanks mate!
No worries!
excellent
Do you think USB-C PD is enough or do you need dummy battery with D-tap?
USB-c should be fine
Does this smallrig cage also fit on the a6000. It’s not advertised as such but I can’t figure out why it wouldn’t
I don’t think so as there are slight changes to the grip and thickness there is a good a6000 small rig cage I think it’s smallrig number 3164
Really enjoyed this. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I’m in the middle of getting all this for my canon R8 and it’s funny watching it go from a really tiny and light camera to huge and heavy
Heavy is good 👍🏻
You need more subs.
fx30 suits better for this job, nice rig
Love it!
Thank you sir!

Said the a6700 camera rig 10 minutes later: high temperature warning ‼️ 🔥 🫠

Good to know your personal experience. There’s been so much inconsistency around the A6700’s overheating threshold.
@@metintin just buy a $20 ulanzi fan and forget about the overheat...
I have this now in case of a similar shoot. Looks to work well
I needed to reliably shoot full length soccer games at 60fps, in 80-90F weather so I skipped the a6700 and went straight to the FX30. Extremely happy with it. Minus the burst mode, this camera is a champ at shooting stills too. Underrated feature imo.
which iphone cover is that?
Amazon one. Basic thing
i have a problem with the hdmi it doesnt work .
Make sure to adjust the settings to allow for HDMI out
very good thank you 👍👍👍
Thank you too
