Syphro because if he aborts it, there is still gunna be an alternate version of him that won’t abort it, and ultimately he changes nothing. His only chance of doing something that actually matters was if he blew up earth prime which would then collapse all the other earths.

The Owlman one is pretty great, as Batman left him the device at the end so he could've escaped. Owlman was so committed to his nihilistic ways that he did the only thing that mattered: he made no choice

    • @shadows-xn3ed
      @shadows-xn3ed 3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

nihilism is the curse of a person smart enough to realize life has no meaning, it’s just a never ending cycle of life and death with decay as the force to wipe the slate clean.
But that person is to stupid to realize that they got them selves all worked up over something they wouldn’t listen to even if it did exist.
Most people don’t fallow there parents, friends, society’s meaning for life. What would change if your life came with a meaning?

Sorry, going to have to call out a logical inconsistency here:
If Batman is said to have killed Ras Al Ghul because he could have easily saved him, but chose not to, then by that same line of logic, Owlman killed himself, because he could have easily saved himself, but chose not to.
So take your pick, one of those can't be counted.

Either save the Flash (a hero who saved countless lives and will continue to do so even if it means to sacrifice himself) or save Johnny Quick (a villain who has very likely killed many innocent and/or good people, and has helped in restricting freedom of an Earth's population, and has committed other crimes as well). Obviously save the Flash. However Batman gave Johnny an opportunity to redeem himself and sacrifice his life to save all the life in all multiverses.

Owlman was given the chance to save himself by aborting the bomb's destruction but he didn't that one seems more like suicide than murder. Ra's Al Ghul, like the person said you could have saved him. It was up to the player not Batman the character. Dracula is supernatural and was undead and was never truly human. Plus you can't imprison him so what do you do? Johnny Quick made a choice to do it and plus he could have told them but that would only waste time. It was more like sacrifice than murder.

Not counting it because it's up to the player what Batman does. You can choose not to let him die, (also he's not killing him he's just letting a man far past his due date die of natural causes).
    4. Dracula -
I mean, technically he did kill him but Dracula is kind of already dead so... Between that and the fact that he got resurrected I don't know if I would personally count it but I guess technically it was a kill.
    3. Devil Ray -
That wasn't Batman at all. You said it yourself. It was a ghost possesing him and even then the intention wasn't homicidal.
    2. Owlman -
Batman gave him the option to save himself. I'd say it was more suicide than murder.
    1. Johnny Quick -
Ok yeah, he didn't really have a choice but he killed him.
Even if most of these weren't really kills, good job putting this together.

    5) That only depends on the player's choice. The ending in which Batman does not kill Ra's Al Ghul is just as canon as the one in which he destroys his means to survive. At least, that is the case, so far (until a later Arkham game tells us which ending is canon).
    4) This one does count, even if it is not canon (and based on an incredibly bad series).
    3) It is not Batman killing that enemy - it is Deadman. Plain and simple.
    2) I must admit I did not see that movie, but it seems to me Owlman was "only marooned forever in a deserted world of his own - not put to death". In your video, it seems that Batman did nothing to ensure Owlman's death : all Owlman had to do was click on a button to save his own life, but he chose not to. Also, since it was Owlman's bomb, he clearly knew how to disarm it (and he had enough time to do so. It wasn't Batman killing Owlman. It was Owlman's nihilistic tendencies that led him to chose not to survive.
    1) I agree with this one.
"0)" About the Arkham joker, are you f*cking kidding us ????? It is Batman's mind losing it - mixed with his memories of the Joker's unreliability as a narrator. It's right in front of your eyes : the Joker's mad memory is blaming Batman for "destroy[ing] [his] cure, right in front of [him]." Batman did not destroy the cure - it was Joker's doing. Actually, Joker's madness and memory is just messing up Batman's own memories and perception of reality ... and, ironically, you are the one who fell for it, by believing him.

If someone is literally controlling your body you have no intentions nor are you physically responsible for it. What makes your body YOUR body? The fact that your mind and soul are in it, if someone is controlling you then they are using your body figuritively, but it has physically become their body as they are the ones controlling it, all actions are 100% their fault. That's like saying if I push you into someone else and then you hit them and they fall off a cliff it's your fault cause your body touched them last, ridiculous.

Owlman killed himself. Batman left the option to abort the detonation to Owlman but he didn't take it. If you have cancer and someone offers you a cure but you don't take it, it's not the fault of the person who wanted to give you the cure, but your own fault when you die from it.

Good point, though you might have chosen a slightly less sensitive metaphor...

He kills his foes in *“Batman”* (1989), *“Batman Returns”* (1992), *“Batman Forever”* (1995), *“Batman Begins”* (2005), *“The Dark Knight”* (2008), *“Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice”* (2016), ect.
He also killed in issue #1 of *“Batman”* (1940). He killed a bunch in *“Star Batman & Robin, the Boy Wonder”* (2005), ect.
The character doesn’t have a single definitive continuity and each different version is exactly that; a different version. He can behave differently in each different take because in each different take the circumstances in his life are different as is his mental state.
