    What is amazing on this? Why do they have to do everything on the ground full of dust like anymals? Do not have they a table? So primitive...

    So if this is a main journal bearing it is made of a softer metal than the crankshaft and block so what are we looking at here, casting lead billets to turn down on a lathe? What's a Pakistani machinists life expectancy?

      I think it is Babbitt alloy, there is very small amount of the lead or even no lead.

    It would be essential to know what the machined piece is for. Thus the video is sterile, an end in itself and not exhaustive.
    The boy works dangerously, does not clean the lathe table and makes irrelevant measurements.

      What would be the reason to make these zinc die castings?
      After all, zinc is heavier and more expensive than aluminum.

      @VladimirTag 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@waldemarsobkowiak8974 For 660C and above, thermal insulation is used. Zinc melts 419,5. You are right, zinc is more expensive, but India is the 4th largest zinc producer in the world. In India, the price of zinc will be cheaper than Europe. 2:49 Pay attention to the shrinkage of the metal, it is large for aluminum, in the video it is minimal, as in expensive grades of aluminum or other metals. And 3:58 In the video, the item has a lot of weight. Aluminum is a light metal.
